I think we're getting Five Guys for lunch and I can't explain how happy this makes me! this sounds sooo good. I just picked up sushi but would trade for a burger now.

I just made a treat yoself purchase for a new rocker/recliner for the nursery. I am so excited! I dread the newborn wakeups that will be happening soon but having that will make it so much easier to get comfortable in the MOTN. I actually got a decent deal too ($249 for a brand new recliner) so I don't feel bad about it. mommabakes, Feel better soon! DD & H have shared a cold and I'm trying so hard not to get it! cythe, Tell us more about this new job! Did I miss a post somewhere? (Likely so.)

thatgirlrachel that was DD for the longest time.... and even now she's only interested in books at bedtime and she's "reading" one while H or I actually read another. She was notorious for taking a book from my hands and flipping through it herself if I tried to read to her. She'll be 3 in February, I think it's just a phase. FFMC: I'm not a fan of Five Guys. I think they undercook their fries and the burgers aren't that great. I prefer In-N-Out

(There's not one anywhere near us...I'm not even sure there's one in my state.)

(There's not one anywhere near us...I'm not even sure there's one in my state.) There probably isn't. They only open locations that are within driving distance to their headquarters (or something). It has to do with the fact that they don't freeze anything and their meat is shipped to the locations fresh.

mkrupar I'm glad your ok, hope you got some sleep today and your BP stays down. thatgirlrachel Sounds about right for the age, DD is 27 months and will sit down and 'read' on her own but that is a recent development. mommabakes Feel better! AFM work has been so so busy. It's prenatal yoga night, I just want to lay on my mat and nap.

Yikes, mkrupar, that is scary. I'm glad it came back down. Do you have a BP cuff at home to track it? I've been walking over to the grocery store a few times a week to monitor it on their machine. My doctor threw out the "your chances of getting pre-e again are 20-30%" for the first time this pregnancy and now I'm starting to freak out a little. 😶 I do have a cuff at home and I check it nightly. It was starting to go a little weird, so the past few days I was testing morning, noon and night. That's how I saw the BP going crazy last night despite taking my meds.

mkrupar glad your BP is ok and hope you get some rest tonight. mommabakes hope you feel better soon! thatgirlrachel DS went through a book avoidance phase around the same age. After a few months he really got into books that make sounds/noises and pop up books and we gradually started reading again. He also loves the books that have a CD that plays the story/song while you look at the book. He's into Dragon on the Doorstep now (there are also YouTube videos). Some nights we read 4 or 5 books, some nights I can't get through a page. Don't stress over it. Re: burgers. Five Guys is yummy, In and Out is fantastic, but Shake Shake is where it's at. I'm also a fan of Bobby's Burger Palace. Chicago peeps- Au Cheval has the absolute best burger ever. I'm drooling just thinking about it. I was on my feet presenting in training programs all day today. My back and feet are killing me and I'm exhausted. DS has a pretty epic tantrum/meltdown before bed. Then pooped twice after we finally got him to go to bed. Super fun night in the Mamba household. I'm eating ice cream and watching Master of None. I'll probably be asleep within the next half an hour.

blackmamba - Did you mean Shake Shack? Or is there place called Shake Shake I also need to try the next time I'm in the States? Whenever I am in NY for business, I ALWAYS get Shake Shack. Also - In-N-Out is amazing. I neeeeeed to stop there every time I'm in CA. Five Guys is okay too, but doesn't get me excited like shake shack and In-N-Out 😁

I used to work a few blocks from MSq park kiosk and it was the best to scoot down there right before the long lunch lines. I'm feeling nostalgic.
