I just got my lab results back and after holding steady for a week my seizure meds have dropped yet again. I haven't had a seizure and am trying to figure out how to beg my neurologist to not increase me until I have issues again. I was hoping that being mid-pregnancy that this would level out. I'm frustrated.
Luckily I actually have an appointment with her Monday so I can really voice my concerns on going higher. Just hope I don't cry.

Hi all, just hanging out while my hubs and dad finish installing the doors on our sunroom. I'm so happy. Today Ill have all new doors and all that is left is finish drywall, mud, and paint. Then clean up and decide if we're going to wait to do the floor or do something cheap now. I'm kind of leaning towards get area rugs now, do the floor some other time. But we have to look at our budget and see what's left before really deciding.
We had cheesesteaks for lunch though - and I'm stuffed and so, so happy.

jessijean good luck meeting with your neurologist, I hope the talk goes well. This afternoon we'll go to my grandma's and hit up her town's splash pad/playground and then she wants to make us supper. Grandma date! We try to do this once a summer with her. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Hi all! We have had a busy day. Our new couch and G's mattress were delivered today. Then we went out for breakfast. MH out G's new bed together. We are currently attempting her first nap in it. lol it's not going well. She has been in there almost an hour and she is still up. We have a birthday party to go to later. My bffs daughter is turning 2. It's a pool party but it may be too chilly to swim.

Speaking of crying (I just posted about it on the baby gear thread), some stupid Playtex bottle video ad that I saw on FB just made me cry. About working moms. Ugh, already dreading those first days back. I guess the silver lining is I will only go back for like a month and then it is summer break. I know how lucky I am to get to spend summers with my kids.

We went shopping this morning and got DS kitted out for grade primary. He got his backpack, a lunch box and some indoor sneakers. He is one proud kid to be starting school in just under 4 weeks.

Our August is like crazy road trip month. I caught up on work this morning after our vacation last week and then we drove 2 hours each way to a cousin's wedding. We have a week and a half at home before we leave on our next wedding road trip. I am exhausted. My kids were a disaster at the wedding and DH gets really tense and aggressive when they misbehave so it was a bad night all around. Looking forward to a few quiet days at home!!

Currently at urgent care waiting, waiting. I have major swelling around my eye, I woke up with it yesterday and it has gotten worse. I thought it was just an allergic reaction but clearly something else is going on.

This sounds awful all around. Way too much stuff. I don't bring my kids to weddings unless it's family and the bride and groom really want them there. Weddings are a hard place for kids plus you couldn't chill with a glass of wine.

Has anyone done prenatal yoga? If so, how different is it from regular yoga? My local rec centre has a beginner yoga class starting in October and just wondering if I can get away with taking it or if I need to sign up with one of the $$$$$ yoga studios for an actual prenatal class. Bonus is that the rec centre is walking distance from my house.

There isn't a ton you need to modify in yoga while pregnant so save your money and take the regular class.

For yoga I agree beginner class should be ok but I would let instructor know you are pregnant. There are some things you should not do like twists but that might depend where you are in pregnancy.

It's been in the low 70s with some 80 degree temps and clouds for a lot of the week. We went swimming anyway.

To be fair I do love wearing a light jacket in January though. 2 years ago I was overdue with DS and pretty much refused to go outside except from car to ac building

Hope you are feeling better soon easternshoregirl! All my mental thoughts today went to rearranging all the kids rooms. We are moving DS to the basement, DD into his current room, so the room we like using as the nursery will be open again. So I think I've figured out what we need for furniture and where, and already enlisted my brother for help even though it won't be until the fall sometime ha. But I'm excited! I hope the kids adjust well, I'd rather do it before the big Christmas rush and baby's arrival!

We made it to Nova Scotia. 7 hour ferry ride was absolute torture. I lost count of how many times I vomited. But our house we rented is nice and I'm going to bed early tonight.

tiffrobot we're going to be doing a lot of room switching over here too and my brain is frazzled. DD2 is moving in (and bringing her bunk bed in there) with DD1. DD3 will take over DD2's room, and baby will get DD3's room. We should really only need to get maybe an additional desk and dresser for the big girls' room. BUT I want to redecorate all the rooms at least a bit, so everyone feels special, or something like that. I can't decide when to start moving them all so I have plenty of time to get each room finished and organized. We need to purge tots and clothes to fit the big ones together!!

We are doing bedroom musical chairs here too. I can't decide if I want to move DD2 in with DD1 or if I want her to take over the guest bedroom. We only have one crib and I am cheap so we will probably do the same with this baby that we did with DD2, have her sleep in our room in a PNP for 6 months or so. That allows us to procrastinate making a decision a bit longer at least 😂
