It has been hard to get dressed this week. It's in the 60s in the morning and then warms to the upper 70s. In the morning I want to put the kids in pants but by early afternoon it would be nice to wear shorts. You're welcome. I'm not a male in 1998 so I don't own or want to own them.

Sitting in my car waiting for my phone interview. I had to leave the house. Luckily my mil is here. There's no way I could focus with the kids around. Let's hope I've saved the best for last (better be the last, GDI)!!!

peachsmama ,i am cracking up at that whole thing. psychosomatic? crazy haha She's just crazy. Last night I told her it would just pass if she actually swallowed it. Her and my dad flipped. NO IT WILL PUNCTURE MY COLON AND I COULD BLEED OUT! Guess what the doctor said? It'll pass fine. I just said "huh" I think her actual Dr., not the emergency room doctor, feeds her crazy.

Morning. I'm checking out one of my employees today. I'm sad about it. She was amazing but but had a better opportunity come along so she took it. Then the day after she accepted that job her H fell off their roof and was in the hospital and rehabilitation 2 hours away for a month. So she's been on sick leave with him. So we didn't even get to do a proper send off for her. I'm actually going to meet her at her new job to do her check out.

cagoldi So my coworker friend (negative nancy) knows I'm not doing meat this month. First, I made some comment about mh wanting to go to Red Lobster because he saw a commercial and I told him, that's meat, I can't go. She actually told me that it isn't meat, it's seafood....I just stared at her for a bit then said, fish is meat. "No, there's beef and poultry. Seafood is different." Uh....nope. Now she just sent me an article on how vegetarians are more likely to be depressed than meat eaters. Dude, just let me be! I told her I felt great and left it at that. So freaking annoying! A few things: - There have been previous studies that show vegans and vegetarians are happier. Frankly, I don't care. I know I'm happier. I finally got to a point where I just couldn't live with myself saying I was an animal lover whilst eating animals. I didn't want to vegan, I fought what I knew I had to do for awhile. I put it off, I ignored it, etc. I just didn't like feeling like a hypocrite and was basically forced to change. - If we aren't as happy, I suspect some of it has to do with how some people are treated by friends and family and the fact that everywhere we go, we are confronted with the fact that people don't care about animals and yeah, it's upsetting. - Some nutters pay no attention to their B12 levels and don't worry about Omega fatty acids. They don't need to supplement, necessarily, but they should make sure to include them in their diet just like people who eat animals should make sure they're getting enough. Those can impact mental health and mood. Most people who are deficient eat animals so I really don't see how emphasizing that a *well-planned* PBD can meet all your needs is a knock against veganism, but I think some people do because they think they are conceding that they need to supplement or something. Weird. That's not the hill I want to die on. Take a fucking B12 Vitamin or use a multi that contains it and eat some chia or hemp seeds and be done with it, KWIM? Plus, spreading this kind of misinformation makes it more likely people will run into problems, then think they are not doing well physically, and decide they can't be vegan. One reason we have a huge rate of defection, IMO.

wedding - I am still trying to make my end of month Boston trip happen. Can you tell me what areas of the city would be good to book a hotel? Something walkable to attractions bc we're not planning on getting a car.

In my class this week we were talking about Skyline and I said it's my favorite of all the Cincinnati style chili places because their vegetarian chili is the best. The guy next to me says "Oh you don't eat meat? I smoked a 10 pound brisket yesterday! It was great!" Everyone just stared at him, the instructor finally said "so.. where were you going with that?.." People are so bizarre. Look at any comments section of an article or post about veganism/vegetarians/AR/animal welfare, etc. and I promise you the top comments will be "bacon" or "why are you guys so pushy?!" Like, we get it. You fetishize this salted strip of flesh and you're unoriginal. As to being pushy, the irony is obviously lost on them when they have to go out of their way to tell people how much they like eating animals on a vegan post.

No, I'm still getting everything I need, just through non-meat sources.

klong11 I laughed. Wait until someone tries to tell you they know someone who died from a protein deficiency. Liars. Literally impossible unless you are starving to death. If you eat enough calories, you get enough protein. People are so weird.

Getting up early to bring M to school is not delightful. So tired. FFFC: I almost didn't pull the trigger on this school because of the early morning it would make for me. I was *this close* to choosing sleep over my kid's childcare/ learning.

Something walkable to attractions bc we're not planning on getting a car. I would try to stay around either Copley Square area or downtown near the Common. Easy T access to everywhere and lots of place to walk to. Near the Aquarium is good to- there's a Marriott, the fancy Boston Harbor Hotel and a few others. The Seaport area is a hot destination right now but its not that walkable. Although near the Childrens Museum. If you have a few you are choosing between let me know which and I can tell you what is most convenient.
You definitely don't need a car in Boston.

One of my coworkers was induced Sunday and just had the baby last night via C Section. The baby was stable but labor just wouldn't progress and she was trying to avoid a C-section. Fuck no to laboring for four days! Bring on the scalpel!

My boss' boss sent an email that his assistant was out and to send everything to another co worker. But she always lets us know days before she will be out and this is last minute. I swear to God, if she quit, I quit. I will be expected to take over her job and I can't do her position and mine. Nope nope nope. She better have the flu or something.

Fuck no to laboring for four days! Bring on the scalpel! That was my sister. Her water has a slow leak so they attempted induction then decided 3 days later the water resealed and she could go home. 10 days later they induced again on Sunday night and she had her baby Wednesday at noon. Her next baby made up for it by being delivered 23 minutes after she got to the hospital.

I'm done with my interview. I think it went well but we had the money talk and I may have inadvertently lowballed myself. I always do that. Smh. My H will be pissed so I'm not gonna say anything and will wait to see if I get an offer.
