Usually I go to sleep around 10:30. Last night H and I watched GoT (omg omg!) and then a comedian and I didn't go to sleep until 11:30. I am le zombie. I fell asleep and didn't watch GoT. I wasn't expecting some huge episode but my H said I should have stayed up - it was awesome! Going to watch tonight!

Wait, when do kids normally stop napping? They're supposed to stop before they're 3?!!? I need my 2-3 hours of break time while DS sleeps to get stuff done. I know, right?!? I don't know what the average age is but some of the other August 14 kids have given up naps already 😱😱 I was naive enough to think they napped through kindergarten 😂 DD1 loves her sleep and takes a 3 hour nap every day so I am hoping it will last a while yet. DS1 will be 5 soon and still naps 1.5-3 hours probably 5 times a week. If he doesn't nap I make him stay in his room with only books in his bed until 3. He sometimes will doze off. I think if you still reinforce quiet time and it's on their room it helps give you the desired effect even if they arent sleeping. I'll add that he wakes around 6 every day. I think the nap will naturally stop over this 4 year old pre school year but I'm holding strong on the quiet time in his room no matter what!

hiimjamie good luck with the test! I'm one of the weird ones who thinks glucola tastes delicious. Hopefully you do too 😉 We are back from the beach, and it poured rain all night. I woke up at 3:50 and couldn't go back to sleep. Miserable. So at 5 I got up and went to the gym. At least I worked out! Powering through work now with a steady flow of coffee today.... LOL! I actually don't mind it!

Apparently I am in denial that we are having a girl! I was texting with a friend that is having twins and her due date is almost the same as mine so they just got NIPT results back. They are having at least one boy. My text response was I was excited for our boy to have a little buddy! Duh...we are having a girl, not a boy. I wonder how long it will take me to remember.

My August 14 kid stopped around 2 1/2, but now she goes to sleep easier and sleeps to 7:30/8am in the morning. She still naps at daycare and those nights we can't get her to go to sleep until 9:30/10pm (vs. 8pm with no nap). We still to "rest time" in the afternoon, though. My A14 kid just loves sleep. She goes to sleep between 7:30 and 8 pm and wakes up around 7 am (and that is WITH a 3 hour nap!). My M16 kid, on the other hand, thinks sleep is evil. She naps only 2 or so hours a day and still wakes up 1-2 times at night.

I've gotten some great deals on clothes for DD for the fall/winter and I'm psyched. And now I'm obsessed with completing her wardrobe, so now I'm online shopping for shoes and boots for her.
I just wish I knew what this next baby is so I can start shopping for him/her! DD is a spring baby so I'm going to need some new winter infant clothes, regardless of what this baby is since all my girl 0-3/3-6 stuff is spring/summer

I am having a major fwp emotional meltdown. We booked a Disney cruise for the day after G's 3rd birthday. When we booked it we told the woman that was booking it that we may have an infant coming with us. She failed to mention that a baby has to be 6mo to sail. Baby will only be 5mo. We rebooked for August but I am pretty upset. A) I was looking forward to celebrating G's birthday on the cruise B)It's going to be very very hot there in august C) it's hurricane season so I will probably have to buy the weather insurance. I am irrationally sad that we had to change the date. I should be happy that we can still go but no I am pouting about it instead.

It's Monday and I'm exhausted. This rain is dreary and the humidity in my office is out of this world.

marygracerich I am sorry you had to change the date! I've never known there was a 6month rule for cruises and my hubs works in the cruise industry (engines)!

I think I over did it today. My back hurts I am officially too pregnant to help my kid in the play place. I have to watch one video for school and then I am going to try to squeeze in a little nap. I am currently in my last term of school and I am excited!

It was changed in January of 2015 (at least for Disney) The daycare on board had said they take babies as young as three months when we first went a few years ago so I never thought it would be an issue.

DS is only 16 months and the most I can get out of him is 1.5 hours. I'm just praying he'll nap til he's 3! He isn't a fan of naps. 🙄

I have heard a whole spectrum of answers on this haha. My girlfriends DD quit between 2 & 3. My 2yo DD is a sleep whore & always has been so I'm convinced I will get at least two more years of naps out of her. Girl has a play date for ONE hour and is wiped out 😂😂

This was with DD, the hospital there had options haha. I think the one we're at now probably only has lemon.

I am trying harder to actually post in here! I always come in and read but forget to post anything haha.
We had a busy morning here-- I kept my girlfriends 2yo & 4mo while they closed on their new house. Baby was a breeze but my daughter would NOT share anything with their 2yo who is a good friend of hers. So that sucked lol. Our dog got groomed today (hallelujah) and has been snuggling w me all afternoon!
ALSO-- best news ever today! I'm teaching two sections of 7th grade ELA this year at a homeschool co-op. They told me I'd get paid x-amount per class and I never clarified if that meant per section or per "class" like subject area. I have been planning as if it meant per subject area. Well I got my official offer letter today and it's per section so my pay basically doubled from what I thought!!! H will be PUMPED and this means we can offer our childcare lady more $$ than originally!
(She is a family friend who offered to keep DD, her kids go to my school and she told me to just figure out how much we could pay her and that would be fine. Which I hate, but feeling much better now that we can pay her more!)

I got a pnp from a bst group today for $15! It's in perfect condition and includes a bassinet, diaper changing attachment, and mobile. Plus it still has the bag for easy travel. We borrowed one with DS, so this was one of my top things needed for this baby.

We had a pretty low key weekend, which was nice. DH's 20th class reunion was Saturday night. I haven't gone to my reunions, so it was an experience.
DS is cutting his lower canines, so he hasn't been himself. A little cranky, a little more snuggly. He had a short nap today, so I'm guessing it will be early to bed tonight.
I took him outside to play, and made the mistake of going through our garage. There's some smell that really bothers me when I'm pregnant - almost a sickly sweet, but also oily? I don't know. Regardless, it had me yakking in the front yard. The joys.

G took a two hour nap that ended at 3:45 so there is no way she will be ready for bed at 7. I may keep her up until 7:30. I will sacrificing some of my alone time for it though. 😞MH gets home around 8

We just got home from the in laws summer place. It was a great weekend, but I'm glad to sleep in my own bed tonight. Tomorrow I have a Doppler check at 930 am, so I'll head to work for an hour and a half before the appointment and then back to work after for the rest of the day. I hope that I get to hear it this time, and not just read a number from the display. I also got some wicked mosquito bites this weekend, so I need to figure out what I can do for this itching. DS is on his regular seasonal allergy medication plus benedryl for the fly bite swelling. He hasn't been scratching, or complaining, but they look awful. The poor kid got my bug bite reactions

G is usually in her crib by 7 but doesn't usually fall asleep until 7:45 or so. She just babbles and sings to herself usually. If I put her to bed too soon though she will jump up and down and I don't want to risk her trying to climb out.

marygracerich that sucks! The woman definitely should have told you. I know it differs by cruise line so you could potentially go on another line for G's birthday but I am sure you probably are wanting the Disney experience.
