On the subject of conspiracy theories...within the last year or so DH was called in to his boss' office one day and asked for his thoughts on an 'unidentified flying object' that a Naval aircraft had encountered and taken video of. DH said it was clearly not a plane, drone, satellite, or similar based on its motion/trajectory, etc., from our military or anyone else's.
Shortly thereafter, DH's boss was encouraged from *extreme* higher ups to forget that he'd seen this video, and to stop asking questions.
There is a lot of classified stuff DH has access to (obviously that he can not tell me about) but from it and some experiences he's had flying over the years he's fairly convinced there is something else out there.

I'm losing it. Remember that convo we had about being pulled into many directions and simultaneously being crappy at everything? I'm feeling it. In order for the daycare to give O meds I have to give them the box with the rx on it. Friday I did that. This morning no box to be found so I think huh they must have kept it. I take the tube back in (without the box). They say that they can't give it to him bc there is no box. I say you didn't give me the box back. (I even remember them giving it back to me in a gallon zip lock) They said they did but apologized profusely. I'm upset. I have to call the pharmacy and get the rx refilled so I can get a new box. I have to pay out of pocket. I have my mom pick up the new rx and O. ... I just remembered where I put the box. I feel like a schmuck.

cookswithwine that's frustrating. I'm sorry you have to deal with all that. Mom brain continues after pregnancy. Here's a story for you: when I do laundry, I always put B's pjs away in sets. I did his laundry last Wednesday. Wednesday night, I grab a pair of pjs to bring downstairs so I can change him. Except when I am changing him I realize I only have a shirt, no pants. I figured I must have dropped it along the way so I retrace my steps from downstairs up to B's room. No pants in sight. I look in the washer, dryer, in J's room, in both of their dressers, closets, downstairs behind the couches, everywhere! No where to be found. I still haven't found those damn pants. It's driving me insane.

Not bad surprisingly! I'm clearly enjoying my vacation time! Seriously how? I feel sluggish after a slightly too big glass of wine. Teach me your ways. I wish I knew. I'm just going to call myself #blessed. I do usually stick with beer and I find that I don't often get hangovers like I do with wine or mixed drinks. Maybe that's the trick?

I feel awful after wine or mixed drinks, but I can have a few ciders (don't like beer really) and be fine.

Then on top of that with the new house, trying to manage this mess of a house, my dad wanting me to help my sister plan her wedding, and just trying to keep up with C in general. It's really, really hard to do anything at 100%.

I feel like I used to have a handle on so much in my life and now there isn't a single thing that gets 100% of the attention it needs or deserves.

Here's a creepy kid thing. W keeps randomly crying (tears and everything) and telling me he doesn't want me to go and he wants me to stay with him forever. It's kinda freaking me out a little- this has happened several times in the past week.

No new shows, and the ones we let him watch are pretty "safe." I keep asking him why he says that and he says he doesn't know.

It's kinda freaking me out a little- this has happened several times in the past week. I remember this. My sister wasn't born yet and we still had our red station wagon so it was between 3/4 years old. From what I can recall ideas like leaving and death were all of a sudden more of a concrete thing to me. I remember my mom singing You Are My Sunshine to me and losing my mind. I actually thought someone was going to take me away (the "please don't take my baby away" part). I think this is the age when fantasy play and pretending get to be huge as well so maybe he's just blowing something out of proportion in his mind and not able to emotionally get himself back in check?

And don't you dare come back here and say that the shadow people told him they were going to take you. None of that up in this thread!

I think you're right sophiegrace. I can't remember what age it started for C, but out of the blue he used to get so upset if we had to leave, asking if we were going to come back, and songs that he used to love (ie You are my sunshine, which I used to sing to him all the time) all of a sudden he would full on cry over. He even cried over Frosty The Snowman when Frosty had to say Goodbye.

vino what's the countdown? We're getting close, right?!! How's the deck and other house projects coming together? Hiii yes we are on the countdown, less than 2 weeks now! The yardwork is all done! It looks so great, I was super busy all summer but it all came together. The deck railings should be on this week then that's all done, cannot wait. Thanks for asking and thinking of me, I seriously have zero time in a day and feel like I'm running on fumes now....must.keep.going.

Hi. Today was a good day. Both kids napped really well and I spent some time finishing my MOH speech. I'm about 90% done. Just have some final touches and tweaking to do and that's it. I can't wait for it all to be done. Like this has been the weirdest, most exhausting, most time consuming thing I have ever done. I never want to be in a wedding again! vino less than 2 weeks?! Dude that flew by. Maybe not for you but for us it did! And I'll take B. He's fucking hilarious and good with little siblings. starbuck poor W! I hope you get to the root of it soon. jubilantsquirrel are you drunk yet? dashook how did the depo go? Edit I can't spell
