Anyway, nobody needs to bend knees if they forge a political alliance through marriage.

I really liked this episode. I like Jon and dany together, as a team and maybe romantically. I like that she asked his opinion, and I like that he waited to be asked for it. They are feeling each other out. They have chemistry. I liked seeing Arya and Sansa together. I felt like the back and forth with the guards went on a little long and wasn't really needed, but once they were in the tomb I was happy. They were both an understandable mix of hesitation and happiness. I loved that battle. Really exciting! Excellent acting from Jamie and tyrion. Made me actually root for dany. I am guessing this means the unsullied are no longer trapped? Weak spots: still not sold on he bran/littlefinger conversation. Did littlefinger ask to meet with bran? If so, did he hear about bran being the three eyed raven, and worry that it would be bad news for him? He did not look worried. Also, littlefinger was also making sneaky, weird smile faces during the Arya/Brienne fighting. Why? What is your deal, fella? How is this a sneaky moment for you? Or is it just your face? Theon/Jon reunion didn't quite work for me. I legitimately had no clue how Jon would react. He could have hugged him or punched him and I would have shrugged and been fine with it. Not sure it needed to be a "moment". These are all guesses from my part -
Littlefinger probably asked to see Bran. We all know Bran has no emotion so he would not have generated this meeting.
I don't think LF knows about the 3 eyed raven thing cause no one seems to know what the hell this is when it is mentioned. (Bran didn't know, Sansa didn't know, etc).
I am thinking there needed to be a Jon/theon moment because they needed to explain how they were at the same place and Jon not kill Theon.

I root for Dany's side, I'm just kind of over her in general. Sansa gave off different vibes and I had a hard time reading how she was feeling. She likes the power but is pretending she doesn't? I also think so much is happening so fast. It's just a lot to process and slightly rushed so idk how to feel lol. I was ready to be cool with Dany until she told Jon to bend the knee again. He proved the white walkers exist! He made a good point about the northern men and wildlings not following her! And still, she insists she has to be queen of everything. How Jon's eyes are not rolling out of his head is anyone's guess. His furrowed brow must be keeping them in. I got the sense that Sansa realized in this episode that there is a lot she doesn't know. She was feeling very high and mighty there for half a second about being a good ruler and learning from Cersei, then her siblings all showed up. I hope she is starting to figure out that Cersei's game is meaningless in the face of the Night King, like Jon keeps saying. I know I hardcore rolled my eyes at "then bend the knee".

Am I the only one getting a little irritated in all the deep-cut early season references that have to be explained in the "Inside the Episode" interviews or through pages of internet forums? Like, nobody is going to see the cave drawings and remember that the dead white walkers were also in a spiral pattern. There are 5,006 characters in this show. I give myself a lot of credit for remembering a lot of important plot points and relationships from the shows I saw 6 years ago, but I certainly don't remember every clever Littlefinger quip or every subtle costuming choice.

He was there. Pretty sure I saw his bald head on fire. Turns out this is that same conversation I missed about the gold. Randyll was definitely at the battle, yes, because he's the one who said the gold was through the gates at King's Landing. Can't find anything online that confirms he was killed in battle, though. Never watching it live again, because MH asks a bajillion questions and I miss things. I shall go back to watching it at 8 am on Monday morning when I am the only one in my house. MH also asks questions while we're watching. So I always watch a second time by myself before the following week's episode.

Why are people shipping Jon and Dany? Isn't she his aunt? Because both good looking and right age. Because they think she's fire and he's ice. Because all the other couples are dead so we need a new one. Because Targaryens aren't hung up on who's related. Davos also hinted at it this episode. I personally am not on this Jon/Dany ship. They're good allies but please don't hook up. I'm with you. I'd be all for them working together, but I'm not really on the romance train for them.

Speaking of stuff in book vs the show - I have read here many times about the prophesy for Cersei and Jamie (or a brother) killing her. I just couldn't remember that from the show. So I finally googled. The one site I found said that part was in the books but left out of the show. Is that correct? It also could be because they used the word Valonqar and I didn't know what that meant. But the only part of the prophesy I really remembered was her kids dying until I found this thread a few months ago and read about the killing thing. I haven't read the books but I seem to remember that she was told she would outlive all of her children and be killed by her brother. It's possible I read that on the internet though. I don't think they said this part of the prophecy on the show. Only the part about her 3 kids and golden robes or whatever BUT
was it last week? Cersei and Jamie were standing on the map
She was at the neck and he was standing at the area called the fingers.

I guess I'm not opposed to the call-backs, clues and the symbolism per se, it just seems like this season is particularly heavy with call-backs to very subtle things from season 1. Okay, it is the last season, I guess it isn't inappropriate. Whatever, it's fine. (I'm still annoyed.)

It seemed to me like Sansa was hugging and Arya was just not pulling away. They show Arya hug Sansa after their conversation with the camera pulled back.

I think Bran is still uploading history, so he's a lil....off. Littlefinger needs to die asaptually. They're definitely setting up some auntie nephew loving. I mean we saw Cersei give her brother head, and make commands with nut breath just last episode,so meh. I was surprised Jorah didn't show up at Dragonstone this episode.especially since Dany lousy a good chunk of her people. I feel like Drogon deserves a break, it's ALWAYS him. Like damn bitch there's 3. I think Drogon is the only one she rides.

I want to hear theories about how Littlefinger is going to get bounced. I'm not sure how it will result in his death but I really want to see the Hound show up at Winterfell and tell Sansa/Arya exactly what role Littlefinger played in their father's arrest/eventual beheading.

Dany is on a power trip, as is brought up in the next episode. The North should be its own kingdom anyway, so Jon better not bend the knee. I don't think we'll have much time for them to sort it out right now though 'cause the Night King is coming for real. I think she will come back down a little bit.
She had to do something to flex her muscle a bit. And better her to do it on the battlefield than go to King's Landing.

I think they will find out something about Littlefinger Bran might tell them something The hound makes it there and tells them about LF Sansa reads something in the scrolls. It was mentioned in ep 3 that Maester Luwin had a habit of copying out every raven scroll that came to Winterfell during his life. He died in Season 2. In the preview for episode 4 they showed this shot of Sansa - Seems like she finds something So she discovers something from the past. Arya now having the catspaw dagger has to mean something so I think she will kill LF.

Also, I know we have some back story on the night king. But it seems odd that the children of the forest have been fighting him for thousands of years. Did I miss something? Also, "who taught you to fight like that?" "No one" Why does it seem odd? Well, they created the Night King to protect them against the humans. But the cave shows the children fighting with the humans against the Night King. I guess it didn't occur to me that they have been fighting him for so long. I think this episode requires a rewatch on my part.

I haven't read the books but I seem to remember that she was told she would outlive all of her children and be killed by her brother. It's possible I read that on the internet though. Pretty sure that was in the show too. I remember her talking about Maggie the frog. Oh Maggie the frog was definitely in the show. It was one of the only (few?) flashbacks they've ever shown. I just didn't remember that specific part about who would kill Cersei.

So, now that my head is done spinning, a few thoughts.
Dany riding Drogon - the significance of that really hit me. He is named after Kahl Drogo, and they had dreamed together that they would one day do exactly what she is doing now. Seeing her riding him, all other reasons aside, with the Dothraki below her, well, that was pretty fucking amazing in itself. I still believe that Tyrion and Jon are the other Dragon Riders. I believe with every fiber of my being still that Tyrion is also a Targaryen.
Watching Tyrion on the hill, watching the horror of war, made me really sad. As much as his family (except Jamie) was pretty terrible to him, it had to be pretty awful watching his father's army that he built get flamed and killed like that. And I think back to the Battle of Blackwater, when Tyrion was on their side. It had to be surreal. I am so glad his brother did not see him up there, because that would have killed me. I think Dany will come back down to earth soon, at leat I hope, but I do believe she needed to flex her muscle and fuck up the Lannister army on the battlefield a little bit.
Arya and Brienne training together - that scene was really good. The theatrics of it all of course, and Brienne asking Arya where she learned to do that. Arya asked her the same thing after Brienne fought the Hound.
If Jon and Dany are going to get together romantically, I take no issue with it since as far as the storyline goes, it just seems like they are going there. If not, maybe they will just have one hell of a working relationship. Either way, I am glad their relationship wasn't some forced instant thing. They are feeling each other out and getting to know one another. They have good chemistry, and the scenes in the cave really showed that.
Sansa, PLEASE KILL LF.

So I'm not sure what to make of Bran not either knowing or doing anything about littlefinger. Does he not know littlefinger is a sack of shit? Does he no longer care because he is above human drama now? Or does he need littlefinger? I missed the last thing bran said to littlefinger before they were interrupted. Was it important? I missed it too. We went back and watched a couple times and could not make out what he was saying.

I can forgive D&D a lot for giving me Dany on a dragon. There's no way Jamie can survive that right? If he does (🙄) he'll be a prisoner which will at least be interesting. I would think it would be really hard to save someone wearing what, 30 lb of armor? IDK I think he might be toast. But I also want him to kill Cersei.

Who pushed Jamie? Bronn or Dickon? ...I can't with the name Dickon. I just keep laughing. Somehow it was okay in The Secret Garden, though. His head looked far too small for his body in all that armor, too. In last week's Gay of Thrones, there was a lot of Dickon vs. dickoff (the unsullied) and I giggled. I'm mature.

Jamie isn't dead. Tyrion will save him, convince him Cersei is the mad king all over again, and will have him go back into King's Landing pretending to be friendly. Then Jamie will kill Cersei just like he did Aerys Targaryen, both fulfilling the valonqar prophecy and bringing Jamie full circle. Also meaning one less fucking monarch Dany has to topple. (Note: I have not read the leaked scripts, mostly because I haven't been able to find them. This is just where I'm guessing this all leads.) This makes a lot of sense to me, because I think it will ultimately come down to the white walkers vs. Team dragon.

I think Arya will be the one to kill him. Most people on the show die the way they have done shit to others, etc. I feel LF will die via the dagger that he lied about and that started all of this shit.
Arya now has the dagger.
Her promo pics were of her with the dagger.
This is my theory.
