This tsunami watch graphic is wild.  I think this may be one of the largest, if not the largest earthquake in recorded history? Eta: I'm very wrong, largest was in 1960. Still. This is pretty darn big. For comparison, the largest is about 30X stronger than this one. The 2011 Tohoku Earthquake (which caused a giant tsunami that decimated the nuclear plant) was about 3X stronger than this. |

Canada has also said they will recognize Palestine as a state if certain conditions are met.
I have thoughts about one of those conditions being if Israel doesn't agree to a ceasefire. UK had the same condition. Why is statehood being used as a weapon/bargaining chip? Why do they only get statehood if they continue to be bombed by Israel? What happens when Israel agrees to stop statehood recognition but then breaks the ceasefire (as evidenced by multiple previous broken ones)?

Our local paper had a very interesting story about approximately 400 AI bots on X flooding posts with pro-felon commentary until Epstein. Now those same bots have turned and are now anti-felon with respect to Epstein content. All of the bots were created by unknown sources in 2024 and their creators remain unknown. The reporter states is exemplary of the discord in the GOP but I wonder if the bots’ intelligence has grown beyond their original programming and are now thinking ‘independently’? I keep seeing that blue states need to retaliate but states like California and New York have laws about fair districting, which, this is part of why the GQP keeps winning.
