How is it going?
Any challenges? Anything getting easier? Any changes?
Any questions for the other mamas?
How often do you nurse?

How is it going? Really well. Any challenges? Anything getting easier? Any changes? I pump once a day on the days i work. I didn't pump today. I work three days and planning to not pump the first two and then pump the last day when i work from home. it went ok but i'm worried it will affect my supply. I am starting to get interested in ttc but i just can't pulled the trigger because i don't want it to affect our nursing relationship. i'm not sure how i will come to terms with this but i think i will end up waiting which could affect the amount of kids we try for. idk. long ramble, sorry. Any questions for the other mamas? nope. How often do you nurse? when i'm home it's wake-up, before & after nap (we nap together, ha), around 5 and before bed and some overnight. it's on-demand but those are hte usual. How is nighttime going? better! A sweet moment you've had lately with your LO/ nursing? she pretended her doll was nursing Anything you'd like to change? not at the moment.

I'm getting close to being done. I'm cool with morning, nap and bedtime...but I'm ready to cut everything else.
We're only on one boob for the most part now, so I'm a B/DDD and my back hurts from laying in one direction.
We nurse on demand still for the most part...although I have cracked down on overnights. We nurse at bedtime and then not again until daylight (or shortly before) unless sick or teething.
He still cries in the night, but both SO and I can get him back to sleep without nursing in the middle of the night.
He has started signing "please" when he wants to nurse. ::swoon::
I nursed DD until 20 mo and I really only weaned completely because I was 17 weeks pregnant. My plan was to make it to 2 with DS, because of The prematurity, but we have a wedding in September and I think I'm going to be done then. He'll spend 48 hours at my mom's and that's what worked to finally wean DD.
If he still needs nap/bed after that, I may give in for a once or twice a day thing, but I'm pretty touched out and done after being pregnant/nursing since February 2013.

I'm pretty sure my vacation was the end of our nursing situation. I'm sad about that. She's asked a few times and nursed once a day since, but not at nap or bed so mostly just bc she's sad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Http://notjustnovels.wordpress.com

@kelltothekell - I stopped pumping at all, ever, and sold my pump in November. Homeboy still nurses...many times a day, with zero effect on supply.
Ditch that dirty lady. (Mine always sounded like it was saying "fuck you, fuck you".)
I also got pregnant when DD was like 15 mo and nursed for another 17 weeks. If I wasn't still getting sick and nearly barfing on her, we would have gone longer.

loony, thanks lady. change is hard for me! DD never once, not once, took a bottle, so I knew then that even being away for 6-8 hours was no big deal...even in the beginning. She would just not eat until she saw me again...which made grad school, super fun. I also barely pumped anything. I just did not respond to it, but EBF both kids regardless. I did pump with DS until 12 mo, but promptly stopped...he wouldn't drink it either. I donated 300+ ounces, maybe more, to local moms. If it makes you feel more comfortable to pump, then pump, but if you dread it and are looking for a reason to stop, go ahead and stop at this point. Your supply should be really stable at this point.

I quit pumping months ago, have been away for 3-4 days for work and my supply stayed fine. I just wish DD would show signs of weaning. We pretty much only nurse at bedtime and wake up. Occasionally during the day if she asks. Sometimes I distract her and she forgets. Other times I just do it. She can also go to bed fine without me and nursing if I'm not there. So I know we could stop. But yeah. She says "nuk, peeeeese!" And I melt.

I have been saying this for literally months, but I am ready to wean. I would love to be boob free and have my clothes and body back. If she is busy/distracted she nurses pretty much at bedtime/night time only. If she is with me and out of sorts/needy etc. then it's a constant demand for boobs but she isn't hungry just needing that togetherness. I am really thinking about going away for a few days and hoping that will be the end of it. I think I am going to wait until after the last horse show though and when she is back in her routine. That seems more fair than adding the stress of travel long days etc.

We're doing well. We still nurse morning and night. Occasionally more on the weekends, but usually only when he's hungry or tired or sad. Lately I've been trying to distract with a snack or a toy. He hasn't shown any signs of giving up morning or night, and that's fine with me. He's never been a very snuggly baby - the only times he really likes to cuddle are when he's nursing or having books - so I don't mind hanging on to our cuddle time. I stopped pumping entirely in June but I still have a freezer stash so when I'm gone he has that. It will probably only last through September, though, so we'll see what happens after that.

I'm feeling ready to cut back on the nursing, but dd2 is a BIG fan and stubborn about getting it when she wants it, so we are definitely not on the same page as far as any sort of weaning goes. Ideally I'd like to be down to twice a day or so, but we are more like 6 times not including overnight. Like loony I've been pregnant and/or nursing since 2013, so touched out for sure. It's been so long since I've had my body to myself it's kind of hard to picture it. I'm also worried about what my boobs are going to look like when I'm done. Sad, saggy, empty flesh bags???? 😬😧😠@kelltothekell - ditch that pump, lady! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We are going going going. DD2 still nurses in the morning, nap, bed, and twice in the middle of the night. Sometimes between nap and bed. I nursed DD1 till I couldn't take the pain while pregnant with DD2. But she was 2.5 years. So I've been pregnant or nursing since 2012. I do plan to give her the opportunity to nurse till 2.5 but some days I'm ready to be done. I only allow her to nurse twice at night but she usually up 3-4 times a night. If I could get that under control we al might be doing better.
