Hi, ladies! Nice to see some familiar faces here. I have a 3 1/2 yr old DD and an almost 4 wk old DS. I started on TD back on the D13 BMB and stayed until the exodus. I went to TCF and played a little on Parenting until we stated TFAS when I went to GKU and TTC>35. I have been hanging out mostly on May17 and also a little on Pregnancy but now I'm here. I live in central FL with H, the kiddos, 3 cats and a turtle. I work in project management for a large defense contractor, which is not my dream job but it pays the bills. I'm currently halfway through my maternity leave and reaffirming the fact that I could never be a SAHM. It's exhausting,

Hi! I'm Lola. Same dog in sunglasses, but different photo of her for my avatar. I'm part of D16, and I have a 5 month old daughter, H. I had just dipped my toes in the infant board before the switch. I work in public relations, and my husband works in multi-family real estate. We live in Texas, where it is hot. But he's originally from New England. I like to read, drink and study wine, dabble in random crafts but never become proficient at any of them, and try new restaurants.

I have a 2 year old who was a preemie and a 3 month old who went full term. I love cartoons, outer space, and the phonology of the English language. I'm a speech therapist.
I was previously known as cosmicav, I just dropped some letters :]

Hi all. I'm also in the Chicago area, and have a 9.5 week! daughter A. I'm a teacher, been married 7 years, and have two Labrador retrievers. DD was the result of an IUI and she arrived almost four years to the day of tossing the BCP. The plan was to NTNP once my period arrives, but we'll see if we still feel that way once cd1 shows.

Hey hey! Looks like this is where the crowd is! Same SN for me, will update avatar later this week when I'm not mobile. I was on TD starting in 2014 and then went to TCF and was on GKU, 3T, D'16 and PAIF. It took 2 years and 4 rounds of IUI to get our 5 month old DD. I love being a mom so far and we would love another child, but I am DOR, 36 years old, and am supposed to wait 2 years between pregnancies due to delivery complications, so we'll see what happens in 2018 I am married to an awesome guy and we live in southern California (LA area). I work in the movie business but am taking some time off to care for DD, planning on getting back into work later this year. In my free time I enjoy reading, yoga, movies, cooking, gardening, and picking up weird hobbies (right now I'm selling my father's old stamp collection and am also learning a lot about eclipses in preparation for the total eclipse coming in August!)

emilie I didn't know you worked in the movie business. I'm kind of geeking out over you. That was my ultimate dream when I was in college. Got my degree in production and wanted to end up out there working in Hollywood someday. Clearly, that didn't happen but all of that stuff still holds a special place in my heart.

Trust me, my work these days is pretty boring to most people (the business side - finance, distribution) but I love it. I started out working in much more "Hollywood" jobs managing lots of celebrities but I got sick of the constant drama and crazy hours. I never worked on set or in production, though I have a lot of friends from film school that do. It seems like an exciting but exhausting lifestyle.

Hi, I'm late to the game but I'm here. I'm a FTM with baby boy J, who is 10 days old today. I hung out in GKU and then Pregnancy and M17.
We live in the Northeast with two cats and we are all adjusting to life with a baby.
We are currently breastfeeding, supplementing with formula, and pumping, trying to get my supply and his weight up. We are also working on latching better but he is getting evaluated for tongue tie so I'm hoping that will really help with the nipple pain. The whole thing is a bit of a struggle.
We also plan on cloth diapering but have not started on that yet.

Hi piratecat! Good to see you. Both my kids were tongue tied. I hope that's what's going on bc it's a relatively easy fix. With DS I pumped and did some formula, with DD we got my supply bumped up with just pumping.

With DS I pumped and did some formula, with DD we got my supply bumped up with just pumping. Two pediatricians and the LC both suspect it but we'll see what the dentist says and I hope that it will help. He also has an appointment with an osteopath who can apparently help with tightness in the jaw that can cause ineffective and painful nursing, in addition to helping straighten him out after being breech. I'm so looking forward to being able to ditch the formula!

Congrats piratecat! Hope the latching issue is resolved soon! Bf'ing is lovely to do when possible but not an easy journey for all. Good luck! I've had supply issues in the last 6 wks all due to getting sick. This weekend baby has finally accepted formula and hopefully I can wean him off soon. He's 6 mo.

littlelion thanks! I didn't expect BFing to be so hard but I'm hoping we can get past this initial hurdle. Nursing on its own with the latch issues had been tough but supplementing and pumping on top of it had been exhausting. I'm sorry that you've been sick and I hope you are feeling all better now!
