Has anyone else been following this bizarre story? The police chief and his four deputies resigned citing harassment from a city council member. Four days later the mayor of McColl (the same town), dies in a car crash while being chased by the police of the next county over. Now some nonprofit group has come in to town without telling anyone, they are recruiting people to patrol schools. It's so strange. *information about why the mayor was being chased keeps changing www.thedailybeast.com/mccoll-mayor-george-garner-ii-dies-in-police-chase-days-after-entire-force-resigns/

H was telling me about this. Possibly the strangest true story I’ve heard in some time.

I'm most curious about the mayor, why were they pursuing him? Was he a suspect in something? Was a a danger to himself or others? Keith Morrison, this assignment is for you.
