I'm sorry Rusty Red , I feel you. We are all very  this season. I'm trying to get into the spirit, but it feels like the more I try the more I feel like  . All of our Christmas decor is in the middle of the living room waiting to be put up, but just looking at it makes me exhausted. Also, and this is the stupidest thing ever to be sad about, but our elf Clancy, will not be making an appearance this year for the first time since 2015. My mom and I have been trying to plan some fun Christmas things to do this month, but we are getting a lot of push back from the teenager. She's also dealing with a lot of big feelings about Christmas and it's taking a real toll on her mental health, and that is taking an additional toll on my already frayed mental health. The one thing that has really brought me joy is buying things for the Angel Tree and toy drive we are having at work. My entry way looks like Target and Amazon threw up and I'm hoping that once I start wrapping all of the stuff, I will feel more  . |

ponyhairs, I'm sorry- all three of you are dealing with losses in such unique ways. Don't force it or feel like you should be doing things a certain way. Do what brings you each some joy, whatever it is.

ponyhairs, the fact that you made a post containing the perfect Christmas gifs means you're already rocking the holiday spirit - and you have absolutely zero obligation to do so this year. Or next year for that matter. To be honest, my inclination this year has been to run away for the holidays but my family is not in agreement.

Or next year for that matter. To be honest, my inclination this year has been to run away for the holidays but my family is not in agreement. I told DH that Christmas was cancelled and he looked at me like a grew an extra head. |

I am very uninterested in work today. I've made a spreadsheet for cookie baking and my new office furniture got delivered, so that's exciting. I am struggling to find motivation this week.

I think i caught my sons head cold
And omg he was so miserable flying back to ca last night.
Even with all the meds and such available.

We all got sick in Disney last week and literally everyone there was also coughing. It’s been a week and still can’t kick it. It’s not flu, strep, or covid. Just a cold but it’s terrible. I haven’t had one in so long and I don’t like it. I hope you all feel better soon! |
