I'm glad the spot went away tgrimes. Hopefully there won't be any speech issues down the line.

Wow. I'm glad it's gone! How do you feel? Relieved but I wish I knew what it was. I'm also worried about speech issues. Obviously I know a therapist would be able to help though. It is good that you caught it early and know to watch out, tho. You will be so on top of anything that could come up! But I hope you never have to think of it again.

tgrimes Of the possible scenarios (cleft palate etc) is it likely/common/possible for the spot to have gone away? I am so hopeful that if it went away, it was nothing too alarming. sophiegrace HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!🎂 flamingo How long will YH be deployed for? God I give you guys all so much credit. I do not manage absence from the ones I love very well. Prob my biggest hang up. danib They are like little speed monsters right now!! goldenlove How cute!!!! I am loving all the repeating and silliness they currently have. I really feel so lucky that they are the happiest, silliest, little babies who are ALWAYS laughing and smiling. Of course there's exceptions but like 95% of the time we are all smiling. Much different than AVs first three months of life lol. waitwhat Howd the appt go? Did you treat yourself? Also you are a braver woman than I. I winced at the blackberries photo, all I saw was the cleanup 😂 I mean, HELLA adorable but I am definitely realizing (bc of these two) that cleaning up after babies is, not fun. And exhausting. And constant lol. Prob doesn't help that they hate being wiped, changed, etc. I've given them blueberries in the mesh feeder and prune puree but that's about as bold as I've gotten so far 😂

Just popping in to say hello. AV just fell asleep on me and I haven't yet put her down so I'm pinning 1st bday party stuff and checking in here.
My back is back to hurting again. All of the pain was completely gone for a good 2-3 Months and it just showed back up without warning. Does it make sense that it could be related to my weight? I had gained a few lbs and that's when it actually felt fine. Now I've lost those few lbs again and it came back. That's the only thing different I've done that I can think of (????) - I just want it to go away and be done with it.

It can be a significant factor in back pain. I know that it wouldn't explain the coming and going but that could be sleeping wrong

There's definitely space between my two "muscles" - if that's what it is I'm touching. When I lay down and go to do a sit up, yes I can stick my fingers in between - I just thought maybe everyone can go some degree. Just double checked I can stick one finger between it horizontally. Edit to add missing words

kleigh, my L5 likes being 2mm to my left so usually back pain happens when it moves back out of alignment. Are you sitting/slouching more? Sitting on the floor? I have to stretch after nursing and now after playing on the floor. This girl is not flexible! Lol

OMG the cleaners came today.... And I had to complain so they will be back at 7:30 in the morning to fix their problems. They didn't clean the front windows and there are two huge Windex spots on our carpet...which we had cleaned yesterday, the light switches plates were gross, the walls which I specifically asked to have cleaned untouched. I don't have time for this

kleigh re: deployment, the whole deployment cycle is 8-9 months; he may only do half of it, not sure yet. There are also work-ups (essentially training exercises of 2-4 weeks each) for a few months leading up to it. It's tough, don't get me wrong. I used to be fairly accustomed to it because he was gone SO much in our first few years together. We've been lucky that since B was born, DH has been home other than a week here or there. This will be a whole new ballgame with the kids :/

kleigh, I think aggiebug is right on. If you have diastasis Recti and weak core muscles, any lifting you do will force you to use your back muscles to compensate. This puts your back muscles at risk for strain or even for misaligning of vertebrae as Cheshie6 was describingn. Carrying a car seat (or 2), picking up a kid, wrestling them during a diaper change, anything really, could cause a strain from a weak core. I know because I still have DR and a weak core and my back keeps flaring up. I really need to go see a PT. Anyone know one?

kleigh the appt went well, thanks for asking! B is super tall (92%) and is scared of all the doctors. They had to do lead testing and you would the nurse was torturing him. I really hope he will grow out of this because taking him there is awful. I have to call early intervention back because he hasn't made much progress verbally. It's funny though. I called them today and they are just so not concerned. The pedi and the early intervention therapists are on 2 completely different pages in terms of speech. But they agreed to come back out for another evaluation. We have to wait a full six months from the last visit so we can't do anything until September.

Re: core muscles. I have like none. I don't believe I have DR or atleast not a severe case of it. But I have no core strength. I'm sure 2 C sections contributed to that. Just laying down holding J and trying to get into a sitting position is super difficult. Ugh.

L started clapping today and it's adorable. So naturally I took a video of it, then showed the video to her and she just smiled and clapped every time the L in the video clapped. Seriously the best!

Today was nuts. I was checking in but haven't had a chance to post til now, when I'm 2 minutes from going to bed. I did get done the one major to-do on my list at work, thank goodness! And I stuck to my meal plan, even though I felt pretty hungry in the afternoon. But anyway, happy birthday sophiegrace!!!! Hope your day was as fabulous as you are!! tgrimes I'm sorry you didn't get more answers at the appointment but it sounds like at least they are not terribly worried? Does it hopefully give you some peace of mind? +1 to having a weak core. I definitely have DR, not sure how bad because I haven't checked in a while, but it makes certain exercises really tough during Orangetheory. And it means that I still look 4 months pregnant all the time even if the rest of me gets more toned 😞 Also I get back pain, especially with the amount of sitting I do at work. Blegh. One of my friends from my IRL mommy group (from DS) had her baby girl today! I cried a little looking at the pics. I already miss having a tiny newborn to snuggle. Hope to check in more tomorrow ladies--good night!

J is still fevery with no other symptoms. I guess if he is still feverish in the morning I'll try to take him to the doctor. He seems otherwise fine, really happy and playful today.
We actually had a good day today. K and J like to crawl away and have me chase them down for tickles.

Omg starbuck. I just love this chasing/anticipation phase. The first time C did it was in his walker and you can hear him cracking up as he was running away. They are getting so fun!

Thank you aggiebug hangry waitwhat Cheshie6 !!! I am going to work on my core, I'm not sure it's DR but I am starting to realize it's almost certainly a weak core, comparatively my abs feel significantly weaker than pre pregnancy. I do slouch a lot and spend almost all day on the floor and bending over to lift and move babies, and my posture is definitely worse. Plus those car seats, oyyyy, little man is heavy esp when he's in that thing.

I'm still not where I want to be but considering in May I could not sit up from laying down and now I can it's a big improvement!
