Ooo this is good timing. My mom has offered to watch DD for up to a week in October so I'm thinking about where to go... Ideally drive able within 5-6 hours or very quick flight from Philly. Any recommendations? I'm thinking either Niagra falls or ocean City MD so far but not sure about the weather then. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk ANOTHER NEIGHBOR? We went to VA beach last Sept for our wedding anniversary and it was nice but not quite beach weather. I'd be nervous about an Oct visit if you want to beach! We are going to my ILs near the OBX this year and I'm excited for the weather.

No but I travel pretty easily to that area. Philly is about 2 hours from me. We went to the please touch museum in May. I am not particularly fond of philly but there is a ton of fun stuff there.

There is a new indoor Legoland in the area, if that is something G might like!

We were there from 9:30ish am until almost 4pm. She played all day. I think she may be a little young for Legoland. I think the Philadelphia zoo will be the next thing we go to in PA besides Sesame Place this weekend.

We've bounced around a few ideas of doing a long weekend somewhere (NYC, DC, Nashville) but it looks like we may be flying to Tampa to spend a weekend with friends (DH's best man and his family just moved down there). Our favorite hockey team has a game in Tampa on November 4th so we may all go together. Since we would be staying with them it would be a fairly inexpensive weekend since we wouldn't have to pay for a hotel.

I was surprised how much she liked it!! The bonus is that under 2 enter free. Eta: and Philly Zoo is lots of fun too! We have a annual pass there. They have tons of stuff for the kids. The petting zoo, etc. Some of the extra stuff you have to pay for but for us its included in the pass we bought, like the merry go round, Swan boats, horse ride, etc.

No trips planned here. To be honest we aren't really trip people and there's no budget/time to go anywhere.

We really wanted to go somewhere fun for a couple nights because no one is going to want watch four kids any time soon. But I can't stomach the cost of the flights for most of the places we want to go to only stay two nights. We'll probably just stay in Kansas City a couple of nights and eat lots of good food. We haven't had more than 20 hours just the two of us since DD1 was born (7.5 years ago) so if they'll keep the kids for 2 nights I'm down with that!

I'm not the best pg traveler. I'm tired and I like to drink when I'm on vacation because I'm basic. I prefer to do a trip with my H when I finish nursing so we do post baby trips! We did Sedona Az after DS1 and Mexico after DS2 bc it was also our 5 year. sarahh I love Nashville but agree it would be hard to take in all the city has to offer while pregnant. My girlfriends and I did a girls trip there a couple years ago when no one was pregnant. This is me. I do not want to spend money on a vacation if I can't drink. We were at the beach this week with my family but it was a trip more for the kids and my parents generously paid for everything. MH and I are planning a big kid-free trip to an all-inclusive resort at the end of next summer!

We've never intentionally planned "babymoons", but I joined H while he was at a conference in NOLA when I was 19 weeks with my first, and Seattle when I was 8 weeks with my second. Oddly enough, we had a quick random first ever trip to Niagara Falls/Toronto in May when I was 6 weeks this time! So we have unintentionally squeezed a few kid free trips in while pregnant with each one haha.
We've been busy this summer travelling and camping all over (so far we've done Banff, central Sask, and are currently in Northern Sask which is all beautiful forest) but that's normal for us and with kids so I don't think that counts.

Actually, my mom took my whole family to Maui this winter so while it was not kid free, it was a 6 adult to 2 kid ratio and I wasn't pregnant, so I took advantage of the beach and drinking time there haha, I'd consider that the most babymoon of them all because we were intentionally TTA until we got back so we could just enjoy the trip without that on our minds!

This sounds awesome. How generous of your mom. She's wanted to do it our whole lives, and finally could. My grandpa (who she travelled to Hawaii with as a kid) passed away a couple years ago and she used the inheritance money she received to take everyone and finally fulfill her family vacation dream with us all. It was very generous and sweet and meant a lot to us all travelling for our grandparents.

We spend a few days at a Disney resort when I was very pregnant with DS. We mostly laid by the pool and went out and enjoyed some really good dinners. I don't think we'll do a Babymoon this time around bc we'll be in Portland at the end of October/beginning of November for a wedding. That'll probably be our last hurrah.
