I tried to watch Modern Persuasion on Hoopla and turned it off after 5 minutes LOL. I like Alicia Witt, but it just seemed so cheesy.

I couldn't finish Sara Mark's Love and War in Woodhouse Hall after two more tries. So now I'm reading her Love from Northangar Parks, Katie, and the story flows much better. I also downloaded the audio of the original Northanger Abbey. Hopefully, the Katie book will inspire me to listen to it instead of podcasts. I've only listened through Ch. 3 of Persuasion in over a week and so badly want to finish at least one Austen classic!

I sat through the Netflix one with Dakota Johnson so... My disclaimer though is I have trouble watching any new to me movie at home. I'm sure if I was watching it with any of my girlfriends in their home or at a theater, I could make it through an Austen marathon! |
