Yeah this was just an emergency draw because of a medical situation I was having so we will repeat in a couple of months on the right day. My guess is it will be even higher but we will see. It's done on cycle day 3 because it goes up after that. Making a diagnosis of that timing (2 weeks after ending BCP) is sus and I'm glad they are sending you elsewhere. You were essentially at ovulation when it is highest in a cycle and will always be considered "high" compared to a CD3 benchmark. There was no diagnosis made yet. It was one piece of data because I was in the office at the time and we needed to just gathering info. I have a lot of health stuff going on and we are chasing a couple things. I needed a FSH test because I haven’t had one in 15 years and she already said we will do it again but just wanted to see what it was then. They aren’t sending me elsewhere, I’m following two routes - one with my doc and one with a menopause specific clinic. I’ll be getting a lot more labs. I have my suspicions because I haven’t had a period in a long time and now that I’m off the bcp have a lot of symptoms.

My doc is totally open to doing an ablation for me, but they require permanent birth control, so H has to get a vasectomy or I have to get my tubes removed.
I don’t really want more extensive surgery, but H is being weird about getting snipped. 🫤

Bluebird how does an ablation work if you have your tubes removed? FWIW, I had my tubes removed after the birth of my third in 2015. Recovery made harder with a newborn, of course. I was ok without pain meds in a few days and fine going back to work at 6 weeks. My periods were much heavier, but that could also have been age and another birth. I got a hysterectomy Dec 2022 and that was life changing. Rough recovery, but SO worth it.

leahcar not bluebird but the ablation is basically burning out the endometrial lining of your uterus so having your tubes removed prior shouldn’t matter. I had my tubes removed during my c section and then my ablation a little over a year later.

My periods are now only 3ish weeks apart. It is so annoying. May doctor suggested birth control, I’m already struggling with hormone issues so I’m holding off.
But does anyone else have issues with bleeding after sex?

I haven't posted in a while, but I am a big fan of my ablation. I got it almost a year ago - this was after I had my period for like 2 1/2 months. I haven't had it back since (knock on wood!).

My friend said she has been getting eczema like rash patches and didn’t know it was related but in The New Menopause book the author says it is a symptom. She said she keeps itching her boob and catching herself.
