I'm glad Jon didn't bend the knee. I know Bran's had a cold, miserable time but he annoyed me. I know he is the 3 eyed raven now but I needed him to be a little happier to be back with one of his siblings. jttw

This is not specifically directed to you, but can anyone help me figure out why I can't see twitter screen shots posted on the forums? ETA: When I quote a post, a Twitter screen shot "placeholder" shows up which is why I know it's supposed to be a Twitter screen shot, but I can never see what was actually shared. I can't either. I always figured it was because my work network blocks IG and Twitter.

Since season 1 episode 1 there have always been clues and shit in the opening credits. I try to catch shit but it moves too fast for me.

I imagine this has to come up again. Considering the Red Priestesses were on Dany's side back in Mereen, it seems like a Red Priestess bringing Jon back to life would mean something to Dany. I agree. She questioned the "knife through the heart" bit talking to Tyrion. Davos didn't finish his spiel and Dany is otherwise oblivious to him coming back to life. I wonder if she would believe it. Would the unburnt believe in an undead? Plus he is trying to sell her and T on the Army of the Undead, so there is that wrench...maybe it was good J cut him off.

Omg when she told him it was her that killed Joffrey and to tell cersei. Did you not know this? I knew. It was just the savage way she told him. It was....perfect.

It is odd that she has dragons and has walked through fire, but yet she doesn't believe in the white walkers.

I'm a little over Dany's feeling of entitlement. Her family was overthrown, such is war. I root for her but I don't care if she's the breaker of chains, queen of whatever. She wants the throne, fine. I don't agree she's rightful heir though. She was there bragging about how great she is to Jon while her plan for takeover went to shit. Jon doesn't have grand titles but he fights with his men and his actions speak volumes.

I loved this episode! However, I do feel as though they are rushing things this season.
I am very intrigued about how Varys and Melissandre both have to die on Westerosi soil. I am about to go spiral out on finding info about that.

Although Targaryans are the "Fire" in Song of Ice and Fire (ice is the Starks, obvs.) so it makes sense to me that fire is something Daenerys can hang with, but ice is totally foreign to her. Like, I don't even think she's experienced a winter yet because she's always been in warm weather places. Does she even know what snow is beyond what people have told her?

Why don't people believe in the Night King and White Walkers, isn't that why we have the Wall?

Why don't people believe in the Night King and White Walkers, isn't that why we have the Wall? Seems like that's something that people take as a myth or just a story and they think of the Wall more in terms of protection from wildlings.

The White Walkers (Others in the books) have not been seen since the Long Night ended so 6-8 thousand years ago. So some people believe they are fairy tales to frighten children. Some people believe they never existed at all.
Yes, the Wall was built to protect the people in Westeros from the threats of the north, specifically the White Walkers.

I don't fully get the Dany hate. I mean yeah, she comes on a little strong and cocky but, she has been through some stuff, and when you're a female, the odds are automatically against you to rule unless you're cunning AF. Honestly, sometimes I still can't believe she is actually in Westeros. I thought she would probably just end up wandering around in the desert getting fucked over by various people for the entire series, because, well, that just always seemed to be what was happening with her. I am getting tired of the planning and strategizing, it's not working, and I would really like to just see her ride a dragon and fuck up the Lannister army.
I would, however, prefer to see Jon on the Iron Throne in the end, but I don't think that is what he wants. Maybe he will want it if and when he finds out that he is actually a Targaryen.

At the risk of sounding like someone who has never watched the show, what is all included in Westeros? What is is Essos? I've never been sure of this.

Also, this might be an UO but part of me still roots for Jorah and wants him to be able to happily work alongside of Dany and stop wanting to be romantically involved with her. I'm so happy he is cured, although I got nervous during the handshake with Sam. I hope he gets back to Dany and can help kick ass. But that may be a huge UO.

in the world as they know it there are 3 continents: Westeros, Essos, and Sothoryos.

I don't get the Dany hate either. She was sold to the Dothraki and has come a long way and done a lot of good and built an army. I think she can toot her own horn a little.

The podcast I listen to about GoT is firmly in these camps:
1. The army will not walk around the Wall on a frozen sea. Stop.
2. That was Wun-Wun with the army of the dead.

Get it together over that damn Khaleesi. She will not sleep with you, especially now with that dragonscale situation despite your cure... Speaking of- Jorah had one night more at the Citadel. So, Sam claws off all that scale, treats with a potion, and he looks healed overnight? And Professor Slughorn decides Sam has neither contaminated himself nor anyone else after one night? I find it hard to believe that it's been longer because Slughorn wanted him out and treated this meeting as the first he saw of Jorah's recovery. I also want to put the words cure and recovery in quotes. I'm not convinced that Jorah gets out of this without some payment. Perhaps he will still go mad.

I don't hate Dany, but I find her storyline completely boring. She has spent 6 seasons wandering around in a completely different part of the world and she isn't really a part of any of the drama happening in Westeros, and isn't connected to any of the other characters, so I kind of just don't care about her.

Part of me wishes Dany would have made it her mission to be a professional breaker of chains - like the Harriet Tubman of GOT. I guess that wouldn't really put her in any of the action of the story, though.
