Did my treadmill mile last night. I considered going outside but it was 40something and 9pm and I was already in shorts. Tonight will be 5 miles with the training group.
Dinner last night was the highlight of the day. I can't find the recipe on her website, but I got it from the natsnourishments IG account. Pasta (I used brown rice lasagna noodles, broken up) with a sauce made from blending sundried tomatoes (1/2 jar), roasted red peppers (1/2 jar), a handful of raw cashews, and 2 tbs of nutritional yeast (plus water to blend). I pan fried some chicken (seasoned with liberal amounts of garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika) to put over it. Highly recommend.

45 min yoga/pilates/mace class done + 10 min core- my first week long peloton streak ever lol. (I don't like the peloton.) A new to me breakfast with 40g of protein- 1 cup ff greek yogurt + 2 scoops vanilla protein powder, splash of water and some berries. It wasn't terrible and kept me pretty full. Posted by katcancook yesterday. Lunchtime meeting, probably a salad. Dinner is leftovers from last night and delicious- Spring Roll Salad. New recipe to us and will be on repeat as the weather warms. sewfi2 that sounds delicious! Sounds like a Romesco sauce that I used to get from trader joes and they stopped carrying it.

I rolled my (already bad) ankle Sunday morning, resulting in the outside being swollen in addition to the inside, so the past two days were rest, ice, compression, and anti-inflammatories. It’s still swollen and a little tender but much better than it was so I did an easy 30 minute intervals and arms today, opting to stay in the saddle the whole time. And I’ll ice, etc more tonight.

Hope you heal quickly coconutbacon Yesterday I did a 30 min low impact ride after dinner. I had brought sneakers to the office to walk and once there realized I had two different shoes. Doh. Today I did a 20 min upper body strength and 10 min core. Hoping to maybe squeeze in a short walk as the sun is finally shining!

I cancelled OTF today. I feel sniffly and wanted to get more sleep versus trying to power through it. Plus today is super stormy and I didn’t went to bed driving at 4:30 am in it.
Back at it tomorrow, hopefully.

My Jan goal was to do more strength, which I have been getting up earlier for and doing in the mornings. So far that has been going great, and I have passed 3.5K mins in January! Today is actually my 5 year peloversary and I'll be at 4K mins after tonight's workouts. Last year I hit 3K in March lol...
I'm doing my 200th milestone run with Kirsten at 6:35 central if anyone wants to join in. I picked one that's 20 mins, so I don't have to "suffer" more than needed.🤣🤣🤪

I have no idea what my January goal was. Not die/lose my mind running meets 2 weekends in a row? Well, I managed that!
Last weeks going into my meet. Squats went decent last night. Had to go to another gym for spotters. Will probably go back the next couple Mondays, and possibly for one of my other workout days.

CD1 and all kinds of crampy and moody.
The sun peeked out this afternoon so that helped motivate me to walk outside. Once I got out it was chilly so I did some walk/jog intervals to get a bit warmer. Did 2.5 miles instead of prescribed 3 but still did some striders at the end like I was supposed to.

Evening!
30 minutes of density training with Andy and a 10 minute core with Matty.
Today was my birthday, so I ate whatever I wanted, lol. Fancy latte in the AM, Skinnytaste bagel for breakfast, leftover homemade pizza from last night for lunch, Italian sub for dinner, and birthday cake flavored custard for dessert! My H has been at a conference, so it was not the most exciting day, just normal work and solo parenting, but I did take a half-day to go get a pedicure and took a nap!
We were supposed to go out with friends on Saturday to celebrate my bday, and he got sick with flu like symptoms and could not come. I still went out with them and had a good time, but I kind of feel like I need a redo date night with just him. lol.

Today was a tempo run for me, 2 miles at tempo 3.5 miles altogether. I managed 9:50 for the first mile and 10:20 for the second mile, so it averaged close enough to my goal of 10 min/mile. I suck at pacing lol. I’ve noticed that I don’t struggle with my heart rate/breathing but with turning my feet over that quickly. My legs are getting tired first. I just need more practice with it so I’m going to keep doing Tempo Tuesdays for awhile 😅
Also, NSV is that I fit into a pair of running shorts that I haven’t been able to wear in years and my thighs didn’t even gobble them up! This is very promising for the summer heat.

I had plans to stretch on Saturday and Sunday, but I didn't get it done. Last night involved falling asleep in bed with DD during bedtime, so I guess I needed the sleep. This morning started the last week of the beginner strength program. It was a 30 minute upper body workout with Matty. I should really start thinking about what I'm going to do after this program ends at some point this week. I’m interested to see what you choose so it can help me decide when I get to that point!

Yesterday turned into a recovery day. I only took brodie on a half mile walk. Food was pretty much on point.
Run club tonight, hoping to do some intervals, no matter how slow we go.
Food: B: 2 eggs with cheese S: protein shake L: turkey cheese roll up, raw veggies, hard boiled eggs S: Orange D: Grilled chicken, tater tots and steamed beans

Great morning at the gym. Hit a new PR on overhead press (only 70 lbs, but still...) After that was inverted rows, DB squats, single leg RDL, triceps extensions and cherry pickers.
I have to say, I think inverted rows are the devil. My feet slip, I can never get the position just right, they are hard. 60 today was torture.
Planning on getting some stretching or yoga in tonight.
