jaidit Paris was fabulous! Our hotel was in a really convenient location, right next to a metro stop (although, it seems like they are fairly ubiquitous just like the underground is in London). The Eurostar was great, very easy. When we got in to Paris, we dropped our bags at the hotel and walked through the Luxembourg Garden and Palace, to the Pantheon, by the Sorbonne, and to Notre Dame which is still under construction. Then went and had lunch (mostly cheese, naturally), walked around more by the Tuileries Garden, Place de la Concorde, and to the Arc de Triomphe and went back to our hotel to rest a bit since we had been up at 4 am for the train. We had a reservation booked for a Seine River cruise at Pont Neuf, but unfortunately the boat was having technical difficulties and we had to decide to skip it because of our (expensive, lol) dinner reservation. But we walked around a bit more before heading to the Eiffel Tower for dinner at the Le Jules Verne. That dinner was incredible, and the view was stunning. The next morning we packed up and headed to the Louvre. It wasn’t crowded at all, but it was still nice to have a guide to take us straight to the Mona Lisa since it’s so big. We spent a few hours at the museum before heading back to the train. It was a very quick trip, but we packed a lot in. And of course picked up some chocolate and macarons to take back with us. 🙂 I thought the bathroom sign at the train station was cute. For dinner back in London, we went to a tapas place next to Padella (because at 6 it was so packed on the waitlist they closed it lol), called Lobos, and it turned out to be awesome. We went and explored the Borough Market, and even though the actual market was closed, the lights were on and the restaurants and pubs were packed. We got some gelato before heading back to the hotel. This morning we took your advice and went to the Churchill War Rooms which were very interesting. Definitely worth the price of admission. For lunch, we went to Pick and Cheese, and it was amazing. We are having dinner at a pub tonight, and then we fly back tomorrow, so we are at the end of our trip. Thank you all for the recommendations! We tried to get into Padella and Mother Mash and couldn’t get in, but we found some other great places because of it. There were some places here I may not have known about otherwise, so I really appreciate all your tips. 🙂
