I am sitting here with a sheet mask on, chilling after a generally good day. Lately I have been trying to do more sheet mask/pampering things after DS goes to bed, because I know once this baby comes, I will have zero time to just sit in one place with goo on my face for 20-40 minutes straight 😁
No big plans this weekend - just trying to not over-do it while DH is on the other side of the world. I think the baby switched positions today, because I feel a lot more jabbing and poking in different than normal areas of my bump.

Chill day today - rainy here with no plans. Going to go next door to the in-laws for a bit then work on emptying out our storage room so it can become #2's room. Maybe go out to dinner tonight too.

Spending the morning getting groceries and cleaning while DH is at a meeting (DD slept over at ILs so she's not here either). Then I have a private client coming for a session at 1 and then a BBQ with DH's music team from church. Going to be a busy day!

I'm chilling at CarMax, waiting to see how much cash I can get for my beloved VW Rabbit. It was my first -- and only -- car that was ever all mine. I'm having some feels about letting it go, and MH doesn't quite understand. Men.
Of course, I'm having some OTHER feels about sitting here when the original plan was to sell the car to my brother and then he backed out...arrgh.

Also I'm carrying a Lollapalooza tote, and the guy at the front desk asked if I'm going next weekend. I just kinda patted my 31.5 week belly and said "uhh...those days are behind me."

The line up this year is so good. Music festivals like that are no longer my thing but I'd love VIP no yucky sweaty crowd and no Porta potty tickets! Absolutely not at 31.5 weeks. I wouldn't go pregnant at all. |

In watching First Wives Club. DD is napping. Dad and the guys are downstairs clearing out the basement & garage. They said they're going to take DD to the mall later so i get some free time. H is coming over later for dinner. They want to get ice cream, which I can't really have right now, so that's fun.

Picked DD up today from my parents. She's been super snuggly with me so it's nice to be missed. Usually she comes home from Grandma's crying to go back. DH is golfing, the weather is beautiful, and I'm thinking we need to spend the rest of the day outside and put off grocery shopping off till tomorrow.

"I'm thinking about putting pants on and going to Dunkin, do you want a donut?"
Followed by
"No, it's okay I'll go. You stay here"

I'm selling my concert tickets for late August because I know much I will not enjoy the concert.
I'm working this weekend, I'm currently in line at the food court for Wendy's some dude is standing way to close to me and every time I move he moves. It's the worst, maybe he'll read this over my shoulder and see how much I don't like it.

So I'm having bad tooth pain, took a Tylenol and it's not doing very much for it. I'm going to have to call the dentist on Monday, I've never had this issue before

DH and I finally sat down and talked baby names for #2! A nice, focused discussion that took us just over an hour while DS was napping. We were able to narrow down to 4 names with one standout as the possible #1, so I feel like we are in a really good place now. Just need to let them sink in for a bit and see if our preferences stay the same or change.

It took longer than expected to get there, it started raining right before we got there, and DS gave zero f@cks about the animals. It was a long day. Spending the day with DD watching Disney movies and cuddling. She was having some serious mommy withdrawal and this is just was just what we both needed.
Aside from that- DH let me sleep in this morning until 8:30 AND I napped for 2 hours while DD napped.
Perfect day.

My fur baby isn't feeling well, and I'm having all the guilts in the world about it.
2 weeks ago, I took him into the vet because he was having issues with his mouth. He would cry when scratched under his chin, drooling, ect. The vet said he needed a dental cleaning and likely tooth extraction. Problem is they quoted me $796 - $1035 to do it.
If you recall I've been stressing about money for a few months and we just don't have a thousand dollars lying around. Well, they gave me some pain meds for him and some water addative to see of it cleared up the lesions they saw around his tooth. I think it did for a while, but it seems it's back.
Anyway, after an entire day of googling options I stumbled upon a vet clinic 30 miles from me that does low cost dental cleanings and surgeries. I called today and made an appt for my buddy. $185 - $400, plus $50 for some pre-op bloodwork because he's a little old man. I was so happy yesterday i cried just thinking about how relieved I was that I found somewhere that wouldn't break us financially.
Today though, he's back to not feeling good, crying when you touch his face area and just not feeling good. I feel so terrible that he's in pain and its my fault for not being able to treat him earlier. I'm just trying to give him pain meds when he looks like he's struggling. I broke down while making lunch thinking about him being in pain.
Sorry for the novel, guys. Feels.

We've had the best vacation so far. The weather wasn't great today so very short beach time but DD had a blast playing in the rain and I really needed the restful day anyway. Currently waiting on the men folk to get done frying fish for supper so I can stuff my face.
Also, if anyone is the praying type, a dear friend from DD's BMB and her son can really use some extra prayers tonight. I won't go into details right now but any and all prayers are very appreciated. They need a miracle.

cythe Hugs. I'm sorry your fur baby isn't feeling well. Yay for finding a financially friendly vet dentist though! thatgirlrachel I will say a prayer for them. AFM I had a nice morning at work. My dad and stepmom came for a visit today, and we had a delicious lunch at Perkins. DS missed his nap today, so he was toddlering a little extra hard tonight. He passed out on H about an hour ago, so he put him to bed. I'm slightly worried, because 6:30 is not normal bed time...this could/will go badly later tonight. Meanwhile, I'm just chilling, eating strawberries. H ran to Walmart to get something, and I told him to grab be either pie or a doughnut. I'm hoping it's pie.

Well, H brought it into the apartment and left it in the nursery before we went to lunch. When we got back, the entire room smelled like stale cigarettes (my dad smokes). I wiped the entire thing down with Clorox wipes, put a dryer sheet in each drawer, then had H put it out on the balcony to air out. Not sure if any of these things will help, but I really need the smell to go away before putting baby clothes in it. Any suggestions if it still stinks by tomorrow?
