But I’m not even mad and I actually don’t mind him. I think I get more mad that it seems that anytime anyone eye rolls or whatever it’s a big thing and yet other celebrities are eye rolled daily in here and it’s just weird to me. And it’s not a BEC thing with Taylor for me and I hate that sentiment too but I’ve explained it enough and it’s not worth it. I just need another celebrity spiral that isn’t Jada or Taylor. Jada is my train wreck I can’t look away from. She was recommending pizzas on my FYP last night. She legit can’t stop herself at this point. H and I watched Juice the other night and I looked at him and said Jada said he wanted to marry her you know and he just said Jada is crazy 😂😂😂 |

FTR, I want EVERY celebrity to have privacy at home. I really don’t like the Kardashians, but I hope they are all safe and comfortable at home. Chase all the media you want in public. But homes and children should always be off limits.

Idk I think something is getting lost in translation in here - the Kardashians / M&H are very different situations to the Travis & Taylor thing. I really don’t see either asking for privacy, and I think a home in a gated community was happening before the Taylor stuff but maybe is seen as even more beneficial now. I definitely think people don’t like them here which is fine (maybe more so her) - like they go on SNL and go out to eat. I guess I don’t see the big deal in any of it. They are out living their lives and they aren’t complaining about the attention.

I do find this conversation very enlightening because while I know we never keep the same energy about celebrities or topics the privacy conversation goes very differently for others All I’m saying is that they like the publicity and it’s ok to like it But, it's also okay to like the publicity while also expect security and privacy at home. thank you!! This conversation was getting on my nerves, safety and privacy are not the same thing, and WTF to being annoyed someone is looking for safety? angelashly I get that you don’t like them, and you have always been really good at stepping back and seeing when people are being treated differently (the Kardashians and Meghan etc.) but maybe the cracker eater-ness of them for you is making that a bit harder this time? because I truly don’t see anything judge worthy of him buying a more secure home. |

It is the media keeping it in our faces 24/7. |

They didn’t want racists. So I get what you are saying about being the double standard to situations. However. I don’t think she’s off-limits, I just don’t necessarily agree that they are doing anything other than going out in public sometimes and living their lives. I think she’s stayed out of the public eye for a long time, maybe she’s tired of doing that. I don’t necessarily see the comparison to M&H or the Kardashians but maybe that’s me. I don’t see how they all fit in the conversation. I don’t know who thinks they shouldn’t want some safety and privacy given what was being said about them/their kids. Maybe it was said in another thread at another time, I just didn’t see it. |

I couldn’t be a well known celebrity. I’d be paranoid AF about everything and distrustful of everyone. I’m not a fan of swifter but I imagine that when you’re at that level of fame everything stops being fun. I can’t imagine trying to find the balance of living your life but also being scrutinized for it. Yes I realize that’s what we do in this thread lol It’s why I couldn’t do it lol |

I think we do keep the same energy on this topic. The Kardashians are the biggest fame whores in the game. But when Kanye was showing Kim’s house and the kids’ school, we all thought that was really scary. Celebs do stuff for attention. But that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be safe in their homes. But I wasn’t talking about only his home. I said that he wasnt wrong for buying a safer home. And Eagles can tell me if I’m wrong because I don’t listen fully to the podcast but my radio played a clip where he absolutely made it seem like he got this house because of her when in fact he had been looking As he should I haven't listened so I'm not sure what exactly he said. I absolutely think he's entitled to security, but like...you're openly dating Taylor Swift. My brother in Christ, did you not expect the paps to camp outside your house? |

I don’t think anyone thinks there is a problem with him getting a new house. I think it’s weird that he implies it is because of his relationship with Taylor when it was in the works before that. I find his and his family’s behavior to be so over the top cringeworthy about the relationship- go out, live your life, sure. I’d want to go to SNL too, I’m sure. But talking about it on your podcast week after week, your mom talking about it on Good Morning America, etc. That’s too much- lying about the house on top of it magnifies that.

The thing with H&M for me is that they wanted to leave the racists behind and break away but still wanted the benefits of being in the royal family. Maybe the book pushed me over the edge but it was very whiny.

Yes, they are doing the media rounds. Yes, they (and their families) are keeping themselves in the news. Nothing wrong with wanting the attention. Nothing is wrong with wanting safety and security either. EVERYONE should be safe from paps and scary fans at home. Yes, the Kardashians, yes, H&M, yes, T&T. Yes, maybe Travis was already building the house and this pushed into light how much he needed the house with better security. Yes, this is all a bit cringworthy and over the top, not unlike a lot of celebrities.
I'm not sure what we are disagreeing about at this point. I feel like I am either missing something or I am talking in circles. Which could be true because I have been dealing with a sick kid on broken short sleep 🤣

His mom was asked about it on GMA. And she pretty much shut down the question and they kept asking her.
I don’t listen to their podcast but I’ve only seen here that Taylor has been mentioned once? Twice?
Travis literally hosted SNL before Taylor. So it’s not like this is new. I think he’s someone who enjoys his celebrity, which, most people would.
I have seen nothing where he said he bought the house for Taylor’s privacy. I’ve seen it alluded to here but nothing in articles. I just googled and read the top ten articles. The closest I can find is:
“We’re learning with the paparazzi taking photos from all over the place, but at the same time, you know, it comes with it. You’ve got a lot of people that care about Taylor, and for good reason. You’ve just got to keep living and learning and enjoying the moments. At the end of the day, I’ve always been pretty good at compartmentalizing and being able to stay focused in this building.”
Idk. They’re the celebs of the moment and everywhere they go, everything they do, people are going to report on it or ask them about it or photograph it because that drives traffic to whatever site they work for. It’s def overexposure. But I don’t know that it’s so much them. Unless they sit in their house and hide, it’s going to be a story.
