My 14 month old has started taking my phone and pretending to talk on it. I hate talking on the phone and tend to avoid it if I can, so it cracks me up that he picked up on it.
I'm seriously concerned that I might not get a nap today. This week has been busy and DH owes me some sleep, but the dogs have to go to the vet during the time he will have the baby.

I'm super tired today! H is on a clean and purge all the things rampage though so I'm not sure if a nap is going to happen for me. He has three day weekends during the summer but he manages to make me super stressed so I don't end up enjoying them lol

Hi! I am home this morning with G. We cancelled her teacher today because she is still sick. When MH gets home for his break I am going to shower and head to work for a few hours. I have a lot to do. Tomorrow my sister is coming over for a BBQ. I think I am going to grill some sausage and some veggies.

Pregnancy dreams are so random. Apparently in last night's dream I wanted to get a tattoo for my children like now but then decided I better wait until I know if this one is a boy or girl. I've had a gut feeling it's a girl but the past two nights in my dreams I've found out it's a boy Hmmm.

Our half bath has been successfully ripped out. We're remodeling both bathrooms, and I cannot wait. Pretty sure counters/cabinets/sinks were original from when the house was built in the early 60s.

My confession is not scandalous..but I already think about outfits and pictures for maternity pics and I'm pretty sure we won't be doing them until November sometime for Christmas cards and when there's hopefully snow on the ground. I never did maternity pics with my other two and I'm pretty sure this will be our last so I really want to this time and I'm all too excited about it, lol.

An old friend is unexpectedly in town and wants to grab a beer. I really can't be bothered to pretend to drink or make up some lame excuse. I'll probably just tell him, but I'm stressing myself out about telling someone before the magical "12 week" mark. My NT scan is on Monday. I wish that was first so I could have some reassurance that things are going well before sharing.

Morning! Day 5 of bed rest and I'm getting kinda antsy. I think I might re watch Buffy the vampire slayer or Netflix, Angel was such a dreamy babe back then.
Pretty sure I picked up some nasty virus from being at the hospital the other night. My throat is insanely sore and I'm so congested. To top it off DS woke up coughing and sneezing too. FX it passes quickly without causing too much damage

My confession: I was really disappointed to find out baby 2 is another boy. I'm feeling better about it now, but I still am sad that I might not have a daughter.

It's the biggest reason I want to find out the sex ahead of time - so I can process mentally/emotionally. You're not alone! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk Our masterbath gut job was supposed to start at the beginning of June. I'm super annoyed it isn't started yet (let alone finished) but I'm really looking forward to a pretty bathroom. Our is vintage 1990 (brass, built in massive jacuzzi tub with a small shower stall).

My confession: I was really disappointed to find out baby 2 is another boy. I'm feeling better about it now, but I still am sad that I might not have a daughter. I was also disappointed to find out we are having another girl. I wanted a boy for different reasons: 1) to carry on the family name, DH is an only son and his dad is the only boy) 2) so there would be fewer comparisons to Ava 3) this is the most selfish reason of all, is that I find boy names much easier and really wanted a Captain America nursery. We aren't sure we will want another after this. Pregnancy is fairly easy on my physically, but emotionally is a whole different ballgame. Even if this pregnancy progresses "normally" and we bring home a healthy baby girl I think I would still go back to the fear/terror to start over again.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Our session is booked for December 6th at 32 weeks. I might be able to do a quick turn around and use them for Christmas pictures but not sure. We'll see how it goes. We are using our wedding photographer and she usually does a sneak peak within a day or so, so hopefully that is a card worthy shot. And since December is a slow time for weddings in Ohio we might get all of our pictures in a few days.

helloerrbody I would feel the same way so you are definitely not alone. But on the flip side, I do believe that there is such a special bond between moms and boys, so experiencing that twice would also be amazing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mine is sort of the opposite, I really hope we have another girl. I could say so much about it but the tl;dr is that DH was raised in an all-boy home that put tons of pressure on succeeding at sports, like TONS, more than I'd want and they basically neglected all forms of the arts (I adore the arts). DH has softened up since marrying me & being a girl dad. But basically I'm really nervous about raising a boy knowing the way he was raised. Also if it's a boy I know FIL will feel vindicated since all he said before DD was how "this family only makes boys!!" And then DD was a girl so I was pretty smug haha. I want to win again!! Lol

This is a fear of mine that I wish wasn't a fear. If this pregnancy goes well, we are done after this. So if the twins are boys then I probably won't ever have a daughter. Part of th reason why I'm so anxious to find out...

I'll add that I'm used to being asked all of the questions about how we made our family so nothing really bothers/offends me. Feel free to ask away.

I am terrified of feeling the exact same way! I have been trying to convince myself it's s boy and getting myself okay with the idea before we find out, but it doesn't seem to be working very well. I know I'll be fine, DS is amazing and another one would be amazing too. It's more just not ever having a daughter that I'm tying to prepare for.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Just because people always ask doesn't mean it is polite to do so. So if I butt in with a question that is none of my business or just rude in general let me know. I do try to think before I speak/ask, but I'm not always successful.

My confession: I was really disappointed to find out baby 2 is another boy. I'm feeling better about it now, but I still am sad that I might not have a daughter. I haven't read other responses yet but I'm here to say I 100% understand how you are feeling. Disclaimer - this is not a boys are the best everything else pales in comparison post. All combos of children have their special qualities. I'm just responding to this post from my point of view because it's all I know! This is going to be long! We were team green for 1&2 so I didn't know until DS2 was born and I think that helped because the joy of a healthy birth and VBAC and all the baby love came right alongside. We always knew we wanted 3 so I had that "it could still happen" feeling. I want to tell you that as you watch your two boys interact and grow and be similar and be different but truly be brothers the strong feeling of today won't go away but they will drastically shrink. Brother love (just like sister love or bro sis love all in their own way) is real and fun to watch. My boys are not the same but they generally enjoy doing the same things like go on bug hunts and play t ball in the backyard and build forts with Dad and jump off the couch with dad and in general get their wild energy out on each other and Dad but save their sweet cuddles and hugs for you. I actually found it a relief that DS2 was a boy as we got into it because I already had the boy thing down. I had the toys, I had the clothes, I knew shows and activities. Caring for two kids was hard on me as I adjusted and for some reason the fact that they were both boys and I kind of knew what was up helped me in a way. Im just here to say I get you. I know how you are feeling. I confessed that I had to find out this time because I needed time to close the door on all those daughter moments I may never have. My boys are almost 5 and almost 3 and i never would've guessed how much I enjoy having two boys and having them interact as brothers. If this baby was a boy it would've sat easier with me today than 3 years ago. ππ
