Mine this week is regarding celebrities. I don't get the appeal of diva behavior. People that are like - oh, she's such a diva - I love her - I'm kind of like why? Expecting everyone to fawn over you, being insanely high maintenance, and making ridiculous demands sounds more like being an entitled pain in the ass to me. I don't admire it in the least. Maybe I'm missing something. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Taitai, I concur! Cannot stand people with behavior like that anyways and just makes me like then less and do not want to know them at all. I think you can be down to earth and still be likeable.

I think having parents come re-register their kids for school in person every.single.year is ridiculous. It's 2017. Surely there is a more efficient way for my school district to do registration. I feel like this is a huge burden on our parents to have to take time off from work and personally register each individually child at his/her school. We have some parents who will spend all day today going to the elementary, then the middle, and then the high school to register their kids. It's 2017. Get it together.
*Im working registration today and I actually love seeing former students and families. But there has got to be a better way for us to do this. Especially when our elementary schools are K-6 so the same people have to come in every summer for years to reregister their kid.

Mine this week is kitchen/ product related. I don't understand unitaskers esp. in the kitchen. Just more crap and clutter. Ex. a peeler does the same the same thing, takes up less space. Also I can use my cast iron pan to crush, bash, flatten meat and sear, into the oven and use it directly on the grill etc. heck even as a defense weapon 😂

I think it is because sometimes we all want to indulge our inner divas, so it can be nice to see someone else doing it. It also makes me feel better about my little things like having DH refill my water when he is home so i don't have to get up.

some unitaskers are nice to have. like a meat mallet. I bought one after having used a heavy pot to do the job multiple times. the mallet seems so much more non-violent. But they don't take up a lot of space like the apple peeler.

To be fair, they use it every day and they eat a crap ton of apples...but yeah, I'm with you on this.

I love my grape cutter for DD. I'm probably only saving myself 30 seconds in the end but the ability to quarter grapes for my hangry toddler in ten seconds before a meltdown feels like it was worth the 5.00.

I suppose I don't ever bother tenderizing my meat but I often flatten chicken for chic Marsala or rollatini something and my 6" cast iron does a nice and fast job. Cast iron pans FTW 😅 ETA. 😂 On the violent part. Hubs always gives me a look when I'm using my CI pans bashing in the kitchen 🤣

I clearly have issues about unitaskers. Like the baby brezza food processor or some other baby food cooker thingy- can't recall the brand. Nothing that a steamer and normal food processor can't handle. Anyways this is all prob from me having lived in cramped apts. in the tristate area for too long.

I agree on the cast iron pans duskymonkey! cast iron for life. The meat mallet makes things just a bit easier and more uniform but otherwise I'm right there with you!! +1 to the crazy looks from DH

duskymonkey hv you ever heard of Alton Brown from the food network? He's right there w you on unitaskers. I love Alton Brown. Like follow him on Facebook and Instagram, know the name of his cats love him. I told DH I'm too lazy to ever leave him unless Alton is an option. Alternatively Geoffrey Zakarian. So in other words food is 100% the way to my heart.

Used to love watching his show on FN when we had cable but no idea he hated unitaskers too. Miss watching cooking shows. Esp. Top chef. Which is about the only reality show I watch unless the great Brit bake off is considered one.

He was serving at an event i was at and I unashamedly ate a few too many desserts just so I could strike up conversations with him. I mean a girl can look at the menu and not order from it right! I used to think Todd English was swoon worthy until his tabloid worthy shenanigans put me off. rebeccabunch, is that a person or food?

I had the serious hots for Michael Voltaggio a few seasons ago. He came back on last season for something and it was totally ruined for me. I was really sad.

rebeccabunch, not the last several season but I do know MV and his brother from season past. What did he do? He's ok in my books, he's kinda full of himself if I recall. His bro seemed more down to earth. I totally forgot but rick Bayless is swoon worthy to me. 😜

Ooooooh! Celebrity chef talk! DH and I are total foodies, and we used to watch Top Chef all the time. duskymonkey I also love love love Rick Bayless. When we lived in Chicago, I actually ran into him a few times - I have heard he is genuinely a great person. Makes me like him even more! Also - I couldn't stand one of the Voltagio brothers....the one with the tattoos (he ended up winning, right?). He seemed so arrogant and I didn't like how he antagonized his brother (the serious one). The serious Voltagio was okay though! I loved Fabio from the earlier Top Chef seasons - he's prob my all time fave.

I have a pretty serious crush on Bobby Flay. Saw him at Bar Americain once and geeked out. I also have a thing for Anthony Bourdain. He used to live in my friend's building and I was a total stalker. I saw Ina and Jeffrey at breakfast in the Hamptons and that was the ultimate celebrity chef experience.

When he came in last year he had bad hair and was no longer hot to me.
