I'm not sure we're far enough along for a bump thread yet...but I thought maybe we could start with weekly updates/stats and people can start adding in pics if they want as we get further along? Maybe combine ticker change stuff with bump pic stuff? (Let me know if I'm starting too many threads...)

Age: 37
Height: a hair under 5'9
Weeks pregnant: 5w5d
Baby is the size of a: peppercorn
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM, Two DDs 3 and 1
Team: Finding Out
Appointments: 2nd regular appointment 8/8
Symptoms: none really ETA: I am more tired at the end of the day and having a harder time getting up in the morning, so exhaustion is starting.
Milestones: For some reason 6 weeks feels like the first one because that is around when the heart starts beating even though I have no idea what is going on in there, so Friday.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I freaking hate having to wait so long to see what is going on in there. Since this is my third and have had two healthy pregnancies I'm not getting an u/s until my Mat21 around 11 weeks. This is the longest I've had to wait.

polson Sending good thoughts. My mom had bleeding all through her first pregnancy. Hopefully yours is nothing! sweetc129 I'm also anxious for an ultrasound. I won't have one until 12 weeks though when they do the NST. Because I won't have an appointment until September and my family doctor likes to confirm pregnancies before doing anything else, I'm worried that I might have trouble getting a referral and getting in to the OB that I want. I'm half considering driving home for a few days before the end of the summer just to get the process started.

polson yes, hope everything is fine. I had very light spotting every other day for a week+ which made me nervous also, but as long as it's stopped I think we're probably both ok 😊

sammysam I have no idea. I thought maybe before we were just busy doing different things. It might be all in my head. I want to text her and say did I do something wrong? We are supposed to go to a concert next week. So hopefully it won't be too weird.

Age: 33 Height: 5'3" Weeks pregnant: 8 Baby is the size of a: kidney bean FTM/STM/TTM/etc: 3rd time Team: Finding out Appointments: First appointment is August 4th Symptoms: Mild nausea at all times Milestones: Rants/Raves/Vents: Not really, but advice needed. One of my BFFs has been dealing with infertility and now a miscarriage. I was really hoping she'd be pregnant before I'd need to tell anyone, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Any advice how to break the news? She lives across the country so I won't be seeing her in person. I feel especially bad to be telling her about #3 when she's still trying for #1.

girlmom Sorry I don't have much advice. I have heard people suggest that in this type of situation an email is best as it gives the person time to process without having to react immediately to the news in person or over the phone. I am sure that despite what she is going through she will be happy for you. There might be other people on this board who have better advice or suggestions.

Age: 25
Height: 5'7"
Weeks pregnant: 6w4d
Baby is the size of a: lentil
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: green
Appointments: midwife appointment August 9. I have to see my NP for blood work too.
Symptoms: nauseous, sensitive boobs, aversion to eating, dizzy spells, exhaustion.
Milestones: I saw a heartbeat on Monday!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I'm depressed. I feel crappy because I'm ruining our kids summer from being worn out and unwell, and I know it's going to get worse. Cooking, cleaning and doing stuff with the boys is hard for me. I just want to be further along so I can feel safer in the pregnancy and stop feeling sick. I'm not looking forward to Winter though. I'm just overwhelmed. I'm thankful to've seen an early heartbeat so am trying to focus on that and not feeling like a shitty mom.

babybean Just take care of yourself. Your LO won't remember this summer as they grow up and you need to do what's best for you right now. I'm so excited you saw a heartbeat and I hope that the time starts to pass more quickly for you. Do you ever get a break and have some time to yourself? I know how hard it can be to do the majority of the parenting on your own, so just do what you need to do to get through this pregnancy. Your LO will be fine no matter what!

I am sure that despite what she is going through she will be happy for you. There might be other people on this board who have better advice or suggestions. This is good advice from my experience. It really hurts to get the news of someone else's pregnancy when you're struggling, no matter how happy you are for them. Having time to process it on your own is valuable. Just make sure you send the email after work hours.

My stepson is home (he's 11), so I can tell he's a little bummed because I usually try to do more in the summer. I haven't told him yet, but he might know lol. I don't get breaks really, but I'm going to a festival on Saturday with my younger sister, so that should be fun. Mh will be home on Friday so I'll get a bit of a reprieve.

babybean It's definitely tougher with an 11 year old...but hopefully he can find ways to entertain himself. Hopefully the festival will give you a chance to relax a little bit and have some fun. And hopefully your H will be able to help out and give you a bit more of a break.
