Along the keys discussion, I never understand how people don't know where their keys are. Like oh the car is starting they're in here somewhere. Or the fob is left in the car How do you lock your car?? Am I just an obsessive car locker? I don't like push to start cars. Too newfangled for me. I want to put the key in the ignition like my forebears. Brb, gotta go get fitted for dentures and orthopedic shoes. Let me tell you about all the times I've gotten out of my car without pushing to button to turn the car off.

I'm pretty certain I have needed to use cold air to clear the fog. Yes, this must be regional, right? Because most of the time my windshield fogs is when it's cold out and warm inside so you have to blast cold air on the windshield to cool it down.

Since we're on cars, I hate that stalling start thing. I always turn mine off. It drives me nuts
I'm sure going to environmental hell or something

Now that I posted that I feel like we've had this discussion somewhat recently actually? I vaguely remember now someone saying it doesn't actually help anything and I didn't feel as guilty

But I hope you draw the line at using an actual key to open the car door. Do they even have that anymore? I have the fob but now I'm tempted to go look at my actual car door.

There should be an actual key spot on the door as an emergency precaution. Sometimes you have to remove a piece of the handle to access it. The only car I know of that doesn’t have that is Tesla. Because there is literally no key at all. But most push start cars have a key buried in the fob and then a key hole hidden.

My son took his car door handle and fob apart to find the key. But not sure on push start if the battery in the fib dies the car doesn't know the key fob is there? do not lose your last and only key fob on a car like that. Some dealers require not only the person on the title to be present but the car that can't be moved cause there is no key fob to start it to also be present. And you live in a small town without a dealership. So towing and $$$$ for new key fob.

You have to pop a part of the handle off of my car to get to the keyhole. That was a frustrating lesson for me when my battery died the first time.

I know everyone thinks the no key situation is awful but it’s actually pretty great. I’m getting rid of my Tesla this month and just got a new car and carrying the fob around is already bumming me out. And it is one that doesn’t ever have to leave your pocket or purse just be on your person but it still seems like a step backwards. The no key thing is something I wish any other car company would pick up. There is a lot to distrust about Tesla though so I totally get it.

I replaced and programmed a fob for my car for like $100. No towing, no dealer.

Sons now fiance she had one key when she got the car. Had been meaning to try to get a duplicate key fob she lost it somewhere between the car and the house, think long driveway. Far enough away the car wouldn't open or unlock. They tore up the place for weeks and then had to jump thru all sorts of hoops to get another key made. I think they had to do a reset of something In the car programming to get all new push to start key fob to work.

I actually am looking forward to getting a push button start van bc I had a car once where the ignition had to be replaced bc of the weight of my keys (no I'm not one if those people with a million keys. It was one for the car, one for my apartment, one for my classroom, and the fob)

I would outsource pretty much everything if I could afford it My sister’s friend has a “house manager” that coordinates all of the annoying house stuff that needs to be done and also does all of the kids’ scheduling. That’s my ultimate outsource goal. Is your sister's friend Debrah Vance?

I lost a good chunk of my toenail playing with fireworks on the 4th of July because I’m a dummy. The nail grew back extremely jagged.
I googled “Halloween nail art” and candy corn is a popular theme, so my next pedi will be bright orange with my big toes being painted like candy corn. Only one will look like someone took a bite out of it.

I spent most of this past week freaked out I lost a job by failing the drug test (in a state where it's legal 😒) but I got word today that everything was completed. And it was pretty obvious there were no issues, but because she didn't explicitly state "you passed your drug test" I'm still feeling weird and nervous about giving notice. It's The Anxiety.
