Welcome to the IVF check-in for July 24! Check-ins will be every Monday (babyhopes) and Thursday (bonzo). If we've left you off the check-in, or if you'd like to be added or removed, please let us know! This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF or FET. Please don’t hesitate to use this check-in for IVF/FET info and support even if you’re not currently cycling. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle. Everyone is welcome. Also, please update us along the way! Asterisks will appear by your name if you do not update us in a check-in. After four consecutive asterisks (2 weeks), you will be removed from the list. Don’t fret if you are removed from the list, check in again and we will add you back. Once you get a strong repeat beta, congrats! We eagerly await your 3TIF Grad Check-In posts! We encourage you to intro on PAIF, and while here in the meantime, please consistently use warning tags in posts and siggies, and be mindful of your status, especially on 3TIF outside this check-in. Hi ladies, sorry I was MIA earlier, work was insane. But definitely helped time pass. I'm feeling back to normal cold-wise so it's a go for transfer Wednesday. We will be thawing one of our two 4BB PGS normal embryos. I caved and found out the sex and they're both boys! So yeah. Wednesday it is. lemonliz I'm beyond thrilled for your two!!! nikiswims Ahh so exciting! Good luck at transfer! Well betas are negative as expected. Even though I knew it was coming it was still tough to get the call saying that it was negative. They want me to talk to my RE before proceeding with another transfer which is annoying since she usually books a month out. Luckily she had an opening this Thursday. So there is a chance we we could do next cycle if we wanted to.

Good luck on Wednesday, nikiswims! So excited for you. I am so sorry, jense927. IF is the worst! AFM, today is day 3 of stims. Tomorrow is my first check so I hope something is going on. I have to have an MRI done before transfer. My appointment is scheduled for Aug 1st, but I'm trying to schedule it sooner at another place. My RE is concerned about a mass above my cervix that has been there a long time. He saw it during my ultrasound so sent me for a pelvic ultrasound, but couldn't locate it. MRI is the next step. So annoying! It's always something! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

nikiswims I'm glad you're feeling better! Sending you all the good thoughts for Wednesday! jense927 (((hugs))) im so sorry. Even though I knew or FET failed, I still cried after I got the official call. It just sucks. I'm glad you are able to get into your RE this week. AFM, baseline was...weird. I had a full period that started 7/14. I started BCP 7/15 and took my last pill Saturday night. My lining was 7.3 today, though. I have no idea WTF happened, but my nurse said I can't start Estrace Wednesday unless I get a bleed.

The family visit was good, and my cousin did well at his Bar Mitzvah. We're stuck at the airport overnight though since the plane had mechanical issues. Luckily they put us at the hotel at the airport, but I was looking forward to being home tonight.

babyhopes so sorry about the MRI. I hope everything is ok on the scan and that you get in soon so you can do the transfer. It sucks so bad when things have to get pushed back.

Well, my ER is Friday! I don't know how to feel about delaying and doing a FET instead of a live transfer. That one big follicle I had, well I ovulated it yesterday. Thank heavens the other eggs look good. He counted 12, and I'm praying I get at least that because of my age. So, the soonest I'll be able to transfer is mid-October. I feel good about it because I can let my body adjust, but mad because I have to buy more meds (though I did find out they are $600 not $6000) and I have to delay it even more. More doctor's appointments, more of it. At least I get surgery done before school starts. We are praying we can transfer 3 then and hope one takes. We did two last time. Those of you who have done FET, is it way less stressful than a fresh cycle?

I'm finally home! Today's flights went well, it was just a long day and it didn't help that we just wanted to be home after all the delays yesterday. But the cat and chickens are happy to see us (well, at least the cat) and I'm going to bed early.
It looks like I missed a lot of big updates on some of you ladies, so I'll make sure to take some time to go through and tag tomorrow!

nikiswims, good luck with transfer today! jense927, I'm so sorry. I hope your RE can work with you to get you a good schedule moving forward. babyhopes, I hope you can get an MRI appointment sooner! birch113, I hope your lining cooperates so you can get started! I wonder what would cause that. hoosiermama76, I haven't made it to FET yet, but my RE really recommends them. The freezing process is so much better than just a few years ago, and it gives your body time to get truly prepped for the embryo. I know how hard it is to think about waiting yet again, but since you said this is likely your last shot I think I would want to do everything to make it the absolute best shot.

My FET cycle was so easy. I mean it didn't work but I'd do a FET cycle over a fresh any day. Not having to deal with the injections for the first half of the cycle was just huge for me and ER is not exactly a breeze. Transferring was easy though almost like an IUI. Very quick too. It took an hour out of my day which isn't bad. Good luck at ER!!

hoosiermama76 FET is way less stressful than a fresh. I've done two of each and the FET is comparatively speaking a walk in the park. Annoying to have to delay (I just did that as well) but my body feels healthier than if I had done a fresh transfer after my last cycle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We have our phone PGD consult this afternoon, and it's our 9th wedding anniversary. Because of saving everything for the PGD testing, we won't be celebrating until this weekend.
I've been on antibiotics for about a week for a sinus/ear infection, and like every other time I'm on the heavy-duty antibiotics, I have all the fun side effects. However, it's better than dealing with the mess I was feeling like last week, so there's that I guess?

Happy transfer day, nikiswims ! Oh no, hopefully AF has showed and you can move forward with your FET, birch113 . FET's are so much easier, hoosiermama76 . The meds are cheaper, too. GL on Friday. Glad you had a nice trip, bonzo . Have you decided when you are going to cycle? It's normal for your cycle to be delayed after being on progesterone, jense927 . Mine usually takes three days. Don't be concerned if it's a little heavier than usual. It's normal. Hope you feel better, fikafairy . And happy anniversary! Have anything special planned? AFM, My MRI is scheduled Friday. It's in the same town as my RE and it worked out scheduling wise for me to do both appointments Friday morning. So win win! My RE is 1.5 hours from my house and I didn't want to have to make an extra trip. The drive is horrible. QOTW: I'd give up watching tv! Music is life.

babyhopes, I'm not going to decide anything until my classes are officially cancelled on Aug 4, but it does look like 2 of my 3 classes will be cut. If I'm only doing the one class plus freelancing, I'll cycle this fall. So, probably September, but we'll see.

For me to be on September's cycle, I have to have my period by 8/7, which is unlikely because I won't even ovulate until Friday, so the next one is October. It is right before my fall break so that is okay, as I could relax while I'm in TWW. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Phone consult went well, and even though I know they are disclaimers from the company about %'s and whatnot, I'm terrified we won't wind up with any usable embryos. I have absolutely no reason to think that, but I had absolutely no reason to think we would be in the position we are in now either.

babyhopes, Yay for only one trip to the RE! nikiswims, Congrats on being PUPO! FX for next Friday! jense927, hope AF makes an appearance soon. birch113, that will come fast, only a few weeks! hoosiermama76, GL at ER! bonzo, it's so nice to get back home, especially after being delayed. All of my flights were delayed over the past few days and it was exhausting. fikafairy, it can be so hard to be optimistic after being on the wrong side of the odds too many times. I just try (keep word here is try) to remind myself that I can control what I can and be optimistic about the rest because if it goes bad, I'll be upset whether I was optimistic or pessimistic. However, that is easier said than done. AFM, I had my appointment in Boston yesterday. It went pretty well. He removed some more scar tissue but there wasn't too much. He thinks that it shouldn't be an issue for getting pregnant because the majority looked good. Now just to get my RE back home to agree with him... QOTW: I'd give up TV. No way would I be able to give up music.
