Vent ahead...and word vomit...
I realize people are trying to be nice and want me to feel "complete" when wishing/hoping I "get a girl". This is the 2nd, maybe 3rd, pregnancy where people have responded this way when finding out H and I are expecting. Will I be sad if we have a boy? No. Will I feel sad we aren't having a girl? Probably, but NOT because I would prefer either sex over the other, just that then I will never have a daughter...not disappointed in the child I'm blessed with. When I respond with "it honestly doesn't matter, I just want a healthy baby" I mean it wholeheartedly.
Possible trigger...
Right now, one of my F12 friends is expecting her 3rd, a girl, after 2 boys. They got their genetic results back, have had further placenta testing and it has been confirmed that her sweet baby girl indeed has a 22q deletion and has been diagnosed with DiGeorge syndrome. They are now working towards gathering all the information they need to figure out what this will entail. I cannot imagine what she is going through right now.

I measured my kid's height today because I was curious and she has outgrown all of her 3T and some of her 4T clothes at two and a half. She's 39" tall. This seems ridiculous. She is HUGE.

I now have a low grade fever which means we've officially entered into "Ann Cold" territory. I am now allowed (in my mind) to drop everything and hide away in my room until it passes. It's like a man cold, but me.
Which, I actually kind of hate the term man cold and think people use it just because they are jealous of other's ability to take full advantage of convalescing. If I'm sick, I'm going to act sick. I'm not trying to be a martyr.

clucky, I am so sorry about your friend. I also dislike the notion that a family needs one of each gender child. Everyone told us they hoped this one would be a boy so we'd have one of each and therefore a complete family. I had a high risk pregnancy followed by a miscarriage prior to this pregnancy. I did not GAF what this kid was as long as it was healthy and people had a hard time understanding that. And then we found out it's girl #2 and got the "guess you'll have to have a third so you can try for that boy" comments. It makes me rage.

I see our girls are similar. DD is almost 3.5 and at last check was 43" tall. She comfortably wears size XS cat and jack shirts and 5T pants. 😬 she was weighed at her doc appt last week (to check for UTI, was negative) and I think was 38 lb? So height is 100th %ile and weight is like 88%ile. Insane. But H is almost a full foot taller than me. She will probably outgrow me soon. Lol.

I broke down and ordered myself a snoogle on Amazon this morning. This lower back pain doesn't seem to be going away, so I need to try something different. It should be here Saturday.

Mine helps so much with lower back pain! I have a mini one. It is actually still in storage so I am using a regular body pillow but I need to go get it.

I love my Snoogle, I told MH he could have it when I was done because ever since dislocating his shoulder he sleeps hugging a pillow essentially but I don't know if I'm going to want to give it up lol

If not for modern medicine, chance, and a fantastic surgeon, I wouldn't even have 1 child. This was the uterus I was born with, which was inhabitable. *poof*

+1 for hating the comments of having to have one of each gender.
Because we are having a girl after having a boy LOADS of people are like "that's great, no more kids for you then!" ... excuse me? I'm not having children because I want a specific gender, I'm having children because I want kids!
My nan really bugged me with her comment she made when we announced that it was a girl, she was like "ah yay, I really wanted you to have a girl so you don't have to have any more children"
I said, "we want 3 kids, no matter what gender they are"
She asked me why and said it's because I want 3 kids, period, even if this one was a boy we would have a third. She didn't understand... this woman has 3 kids!! (Boy, girl, girl)
Nobody gets to have an opinion on how many bloody kids we have, my uterus, I'll decide thank you

DD is making up for a quiet afternoon, she's been going mental for about an hour now. Got some good video clips of it to show H, but I still think the placenta is hiding most of the big movements as it can be a really big kick and I won't see much on the outside, but on the sides of my belly you can see movements so much better.
Think she just stuck out an elbow or knee just now as that was a really pointy feeling by my belly button lol.

I'm brushing my hair in just a bra and yoga pants. DH comes into the bathroom behind me and starts chatting. After about 5-10 min he says, "Wow, you're really pregnant."
😕
Thanks for noticing?

AnnPerkinsMy H does that as well... I just kind of look at him. Most recent one was where I'm laying on the sofa and he's on the other side, were chatting and he's just like "you are getting really big" Dude I've already grown us a son, you know what pregnancy involves lol

Okay well I guess I can't hold my bladder anymore. I really needed a wee while cooking dinner, but thought I can just hold it for 5 minutes.
Started getting like little sharp pains on my right hand side right down the bottom, calmed down as soon as I weed. Started up again just a second ago, and sure enough I needed to wee again. Slowed down again.
This is annoying, DD is obviously in a weird position against my hip/bladder

My H keeps commenting on how much bigger I look this time. He came home from work yesterday and told me that he met someone that is as far along as I am but half the size....thanks H.

My neighbor across the street from me is 10 weeks ahead of me and barely looks pregnant. When we're together all I hear us about how much bigger I am. Thanks, everybody.
