bethkate Gina is the worst. I feel like we should all write reviews of Ovia and tell them to get rid of her videos lol.

beefinch I had a dream like that too, giving birth at 37 weeks. And they gave me an epidural without my consent. When I woke up baby was going nuts in there so I wonder if that was part of it.

LOL at Gina. Come on, girl.
Today on the way to the market, my daughter said this: "My children at my party are going to make a fire with me."
I don't know what she thinks is going to happen at the cottage, but I'm a little nervous.

She can give a sparkler to her 4 year old, but dear god, no, do not give one to my child. XD I'm not sure which "children" she thinks will be starting fires with her but I'd rather not find out.

Good morning! We're going garage sale-ing today since H is actually home on a weekend instead of fishing for once! My boobs aren't leaking but they are HUGE. Way bigger than any other pregnancy. I'm usually an A if I'm lucky so this is pretty awesome. I'm usually a full A/small B. Right now I'm a solid C and feel like I've got porn boobs, lol.

Dammit Gina! Let's get a petition going, haha. My dream last night was wearing a prom style dress I borrowed from my sister in law and making cherry scones (which I was going to do today). Then I got little cherry stains all over the dress.

I don't generally like maxi dresses because I feel like my legs are suffocating. I think I may be the only person on the planet that feels this way lol. I just look so wide in them. I have one from D's pregnancy. I walked into the store and saw a lady wearing it. She looked cute. Me? Wall of fabric. Yes I think this is my problem, too.

So you can imagine how I am feeling in my 38Gs (normally 36F, so not small by any means) right about now... Boobs up in my eyes, basically. At least I am carrying lower than with DD. With her, my boobs were legitimately up in my face. I still have 15 weeks, though...

I posted this photo of DD trying on her puddle jumper to FB this morning. (PDQ, obviously.) ![](https://scontent.fyyz1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/20374681_10101989736540036_2906161943783221826_n.jpg?oh=670580502773a9eac4fe1df5829efadf&oe=59FD47F6) My MIL instantly commented to ask if she has a life jacket. I try really hard not to feel judged by her when she does this, but she does this all the time. I post something, she passive aggressively comments with a 'question' about something that heavily implies I'm parenting wrong. She does it in person, too. I make a plate for DD at dinner, MIL asks if it's cut up enough. I give her some of my steak, MIL asks if it shouldn't be more well done than that. I take her out in the sun, MIL asks if I put sunscreen on her and if she's wearing a hat. Woman. I know what I'm doing. Back off. FIL does it too. I am expecting a phone call later where he asks MH if we have looked at the safety requirements from the Coast Guard and strongly urges us to get a child lifejacket. Guys, this is why MH is a fucking basket case when it comes to safety. He cannot calm himself. He is convinced DD is going to get hurt at all times. He is so much better now than when she was first born because he's starting to see how BSC his parents are about this stuff.

I'm at work and wearing a non-maternity shirt that's too tight. I don't know why I left the house in it. It's throwing off my whole day.

I did this last week only it wasn't so much that it was tight, it was too short. The panel of my jeans was showing just a bit all freaking day and I hated myself for wearing it. I have now put away all of my non-maternity clothes so I have about five outfits that I can wear.

I just remembered that the last time I was at the ILs' for dinner, I gave DD my fork to use for dessert because hers had already been cleared. MH and his parents all jumped out of their chairs like I gave her a loaded gun. IT'S A FORK, YOU GUYS. JFC.

misskilljoyMy MIL does this with like every picture my SIL puts up of my niece. Is there any chance she's just over paranoid and prone to panicking over the smallest of things? My MIL is ridiculous when it comes to things like food size. Whenever my H for example is saying what DS is eating over the phone I can always hear her going "is it cut up enough??" ... she doesn't mean it in a challenging way, she's just genuinely over the top and a bit of a tool lol

beefinch , that's totally her problem. I try hard to remind myself of that when she does this. She is very anxious and panicky about safety. But she's also said some not-so-great things about me in the past when MH and I first started dating that are hard to forget, so I have a lot of feelings about that still. She used to resent me a lot for making her son more independent, at least that's how it came across when she questioned why he was getting his driver's license (UM BECAUSE I WAS SIX MONTHS PREGNANT AND WAS NOT DRIVING MYSELF TO THE HOSPITAL), and both my ILs implied that we should not be getting a joint bank account (like three years into our relationship!) "in case something happens so I couldn't take all of his money". What the fuuuuck. (Irony: at the time I was the one with a job while he was unemployed and even still, I am the one with the higher salary, pension, and benefits. So L-O-freaking-L at me taking all his money, because if we ever do divorce, it's me losing out, not him.) My experience with them is 100% of my anxiety about having a boy. I will not be this MIL. I can't. I need to be better.

misskilljoy I remember you saying about your feelings turning into your MIL with a boy... honestly don't worry, if anything it gives you an example not what to be like. Does she know she's being like it when questioning? As for example whenever DS is running around she's like "oh be careful, oh no, oh I can't watch this" I literally just tell her to stop going on. She laughs about it, as she knows exactly she's being over the top. Or if he's eating around her, and she's like having a mild panic attack about the size of the food or the cutlery (he eats with adult cutlery as he prefers it) I just tell her to stop, or just give her my 'look' and she just laughs again... luckily we don't see her much lol

DD was trying to do a "somersault" (read: she was bending over, putting her head on the ground, then flopping onto her side... because she's two) and MIL kept cringing and freaking out that she would "break her neck". She kept asking us to stop her from doing that because it was dangerous. When I said it was fine and she would stop if it was hurting her, MIL covered her eyes and kept panicking until she eventually left the room. I just... can't handle that. I promise I'm keeping my kid safe and not letting her take unreasonable risks.

I'm a little intense about water safety (as are my in laws who live at the beach -- DS has been wearing a life jacket instead of his puddle jumper while in the lake and has to wear it if he wants to be on the dock at all times) but the fork thing is absurd!! Also no need to make a Facebook comment like that on an adorable pic of your grandkid. Blahh. That's definitely over the top.

Catching up... Ive given DS a table knife since he was old enough to ask for one. He might as well learn to use it. My aunt was aghast about DD eating real food at 9months. Like slow your roll lady, she's got one tooth and she's figured out how to work with that. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170729/a656c18b72d714daf39663f380ae555a.jpg) Went to the park with the kids this morning.

Also no need to make a Facebook comment like that on an adorable pic of your grandkid. Blahh. That's definitely over the top. We aren't doing any boating, there is no dock, and the water is a maximum of about 4ft. deep unless you go out to the drop-off about 60ft. out. She won't be near the water without an adult (and there are 8 adults there, so lots of eyes). They know this, but still think a life jacket is somehow inherently more safe for her, despite all of that. I'm intense about water safety (I got flamed a bit on my other BMB for side-eyeing all the people who said they leave the washroom while their kids DD's age are in the bath) but a life jacket is no more safe in this scenario than the puddle jumper. XD She's too heavy for the ones that keep your head out of the water with the piece behind the neck.
