Dd's fever is in the 101s. She'd sleep for 30-60 minutes and wake up. Eventually I kicked mh downstairs so he could sleep and brought dd into bed with me so I didn't have to keep getting up. Upside (?): I brought out the pacifier in hopes that it would help but she was not interested. I guess the pacifier weaning went well then.

All the coffee and naps to you Lakes! Does she have a virus or do you think there's something else going on? Rainy day here so I think we will check out the toddler music class later this morning. Tried peanut butter with M this morning and it was the most positive she's been about food so far!

I'm so sorry for the crap night Lakes. Yay(?) for the paci rejection though lol. We tried peanut butter with B recently too carrots. B was not so sure about it at first, but then loved it! As for me, both kids are fever-free and in daycare today.

thelittleredm - did your son end up having a nice party, despite all the guests' tardiness? OMG Lakes, your SIL is SOMETHING. I had a weird weekend with in-laws. There was a death in the family and everything was just so... odd. On the bright side, DD1 continues to do well with potty training. She went to DC 3 days last week and didn't have any accidents there OR in the carseat. Praise. Baby A has fully recovered from her crazy fevers last week and had a very happy visit with her grandparents.

Lakes, Oh man, all the espresso shots for you! carrots, I need to try peanut butter with W. I'm sure he'd love it but he seems to care more about textures than DS1 did soooo we'll see. judyblume14, It was nice! My brother and his family had to cut out early because their twins kept melting down because they needed naps but everything else was nice. We did skip one section of the zoo but I'm not too disappointed Lol The best part was my 2hr nap afterward.

Can you guys talk to me about bath time?
B outgrew his bath seat because he has no patience for lounging at an incline. He wants to be sitting up, but he's so freakin wiggly that he's slipping all over the place. He's stable on the ground, but when I put him in the tub he knocks his head on the tub walls and falls over because he's flailing his arms around and too busy splashing. We've tried to keep him in the kitchen sink, but it's the same deal. We also have a deep tub so it makes it awkward to hold him 100% of the time. We've even done bath time in the tub with like 1/2" of water, but he still manages to writhe onto his tummy then stick his face in it.
DD mostly just chilled out in the tub, so I'm at a loss.
Do I get one of those non-slip bath mats? Halp.

ellabee at this stage we bathed DS in the blue plastic baby tub but on the side where he could sit up. It still provides a lot of support and is way less risky if he tips over. I'm not sure what to do with M until I'm comfortable with her sitting in the big tub. We bathe the kids together and have had her in a mesh type seat that she reclines in but I know our days are numbered in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lakes I'm so sorry for the crappy sleep. Hope baby girl starts feeling better soon and you can sneak a nap in today. carrots have fun at music! Did you do any pb prep before giving it? I'm so nervous about it. With dd I put it on her leg for3 days before offering it. ellabee hurray! So glad your littles are on the mend! judyblume14 yay for potty training success! How old is dd1? I'm trying to decide if my dd is ready for pt.

Is anybody seeing an increase in blowouts since starting solids? M has had more blowouts in the last week than in the rest of her life combined.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Solids + sitting up = nowhere for all the poop to go but up. Also, the barrel rolling mid diaper change is not appreciated.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk We definitely had a curve where his belly was getting used to food but it has leveled out again. For about a week or so all sleep was shortened because of poop.

meeggaannw, DD1 will be 3 at the beginning of sept, so 34.5 months. Eek. We should've done this either A) before baby was born, or B) during maternity leave.

I have been craving chocolate chip cookies for weeks now. I decided to bake some during r's first nap. My big family mind defaulted to automatically doubling the recipe. Now I have enough cookie dough to make 8 dozen cookies. 😬

Even though she can't really climb yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Work is hellish. I am so tired mentally. 4 more work days to vacation. I tried to give E some puffs last night and she likes them!!! It was so cute. I am loving this age right now.

Is this where I confess that we kept ds in the whale tub until he was over a year? Mh would just put him in the bottom part of the tub, not the reclined seat side. #teamlazy

We didn't have a tub at our old house, just a shower. So we always used the baby tub.

Guys, MH is home! Trying to remind him to take it easy.
Also, I know I have a caboose and haven't been around much, but can we talk 6 mo sleep regression? How long did it last for you guys? This little one is killing me right now with the MOTN parties and frequent wakeups.

This little one is killing me right now with the MOTN parties and frequent wakeups. Oh duh. Perhaps this is why M hasn't STTN for the last month! She's been up chatting or fussing in the early am hours after having no problem sleeping for 11 hours every night for months. I'm letting her work through it and unless she's screaming, I'm not going in there until 6:30. Sometimes she's been up at 2, sometimes at 5. Sometimes it lasts for 10 minutes, sometimes it's 45 minutes. I'm definitely ready for this phase to be behind us! Glad to hear your H is home!
