seventythree, what is McChicken sauce? I feel like I've eaten my fair share of McChicken sandwiches and haven't had any sauce to accompany them.

Re: paci, DS only used them during circumcision and blood draws where he was given sugar water. Other than that we never gave him one and he didn't seem to need it so we just never bothered. Also I remembered! Here's my UO. I detest the cold shoulder look/fashion. I think it can be integrated/designed into an outfit tastefully but 99% of what I see people wearing just plain looks awful IMO. This trend needs to go away. I LOVE these tops and shirts! I think we're talking about the same thing. But I don't have a strapless bra that fits right now and I'm too lazy/cheap to buy one that I'll only wear while pregnant, so I can't get any cute off the shoulder tops. This makes me sad. To be clear, these are the off the shoulder tops, right? The ones that you wear on your arms? Or are we talking about shirts that have straps, but the shoulders are cut out? I find those a little strange.

duskymonkey, also not a fan of all the shoulderless tops out there these days. To each her own style but I wouldn't personally wear a top with cut out shoulders.

seventythree , what is McChicken sauce? I feel like I've eaten my fair share of McChicken sandwiches and haven't had any sauce to accompany them. It's the "mayo" sauce that comes on the sandwich. And apparently it is different in Canada than in the U.S.! See: www.businessinsider.com/mcdonalds-secret-mcchicken-sauce-2017-3I am now EXTRA sad that I didn't seek out a bottle of the stuff (which apparently came to Canadian grocery stores earlier this year) on our recent trip to Toronto. I legit had NO IDEA that I couldn't get the same thing here! I guess I'm also glad I saved myself the embarrassment of going to McD's and asking for a few packets of the stuff with my fries...

Oh, and +whatever to hating the "cold shoulder" tops. Who thinks this (and its variations) looks good?!? ETA: I read my post and I had to put "cold shoulder" in quotes because I even think the name is dumb (I mean it's accurate, but... yeah)

Pacifiers, huh? I'll be an unpopular one in this thread and say that DD1 used one from birth to just after her first birthday (it was like...one rough weekend but we introduced a blanket at the same time so that helped), and I plan to do the same with DD2. Of course every kid is different, but it was a lifesaver for us! FWIW, a pacifier clip goes a long way to preventing dropped/lost binkies I used pacifier clips for teething toys. Kept them off the floor and in reach when she wanted them. Lifesaver for the car so she couldn't throw them out of the seat.

I did this too... especially at restaurants where she thought it was especially fun to throw toys

Just joining in. Re: Condiments blackmamba put it perfectly. Food + sauce(s) = life Re: Pacifiers I gave one to DS in the hospital, and tried for a while at home, but the kid just spit them out. NBD, like everyone else said, one less thing to transition. Not sure if I'll try a paci this time, but I'm thinking not. DS does however have a blanket addiction. He loves his muslin blanket(s)(he doesn't know there are 4, he only gets one at a time). He needs it for sleep and general comfort/soothing. After weaning him at 12 months, he also started sucking the tags like a paci, and still does.

He needs a blanket and both bunnies (I bought a backup and one day he somehow got ahold of both of them and has wanted both ever since....) at night. We keep a blanket at daycare. He's also loved tags since he was little - he rubs the soft satin tag between his fingers.
