We finally got DS' car seat installed into the in-laws car, and now they just want to go everywhere with him. They watch him on Thursdays until lunch time. Today, they are going grocery shopping, then to their gym to let him try the toddler pool there, then to a park after. This is the first time anyone has taken him to a pool without me being there so I'm anxious but I'm sure it will be ok.

About to head to my doctor's appointment. I'm 99% sure what I was feeling yesterday were some brutal braxton hicks contractions, but I'm going to ask my midwife about it. I'm feeling much better today, fortunately. Tonight we have DD's swim lesson and then I need to work on a diaper cake for a friend's baby shower this weekend. I've never made one, so FX it turns out decent.

thatgirlrachel Good luck at your appointment today! Another busy day of moving into our new place. Tonight is our last night at the executive stay place, and then we're moving the last carload of everything over to our new home tomorrow afternoon. DS will get to see his new big boy room - so excited about that! I walked around probably a bit too much today and my hips are hurting from it. Going to slap on a sheet mask, not move, and take it easy tonight before bedtime!

I'm so glad I work from home on Thursdays. Traffic is going to be such a mess. Surprisingly no one was hurt, but lots of windshields were smashed. There was also a bus with lots of kids from a summer camp stuck in the traffic. I can't imagine if my kid was one of them.

My glucose test is today. I'm really grumpy about having to take the toddler and entertain him for 2 hours for the test, then go to my appointment. We are getting Jack in the box afterwards because i want curly fries and a milkshake.

Apparently I had nothing to worry about. The in-laws asked DS (who turns 2 next week) if he wanted to go to the pool and he said "pool all done" so they didn't go. He says that about everything, lol. They did go to the park though and sent us some pics and video, looks like they had fun.

DD just started saying "all done" after meals in the last few days and I was talking to my other BMB about it. It's so funny the things they will say "all done" to just because they don't want to do them. So cute.

Had a busy day yesterday with double appts for both DS dentist and my nutrition edu. appt. so it felt like a long day. Today I'll be putting up my feet as much as possible since I was on them far too much and feeling a little strain which I noticed is usually the case. I'm excited; DS pre-reg preschool forms are here and I'll have to go comb through them carefully and get all pertinent paperwork ready by next week for enrollment.

thatgirlrachel, DS's favorite thing to "done" are people. We went to the aquarium with another couple who had a toddler his age, and any time we tried to get him to interact with the toddler he would say "done (toddler's name)". He's still pretty shy with people unless he gets a significant period to warm up to them.

I'm spiraling on overpriced halloween-ish swaddles on Etsy Halloween is one of my favorite holidays so having an October baby is pretty cool

I now have a tot that bargains and argues for no logical reason and GL reasoning with a tot, you'd never win. 🤦🏻♀️

cythe, can you let Rama know I've been thinking of her? Last I checked, she hadn't registered here unless she has a new name. I think about her and I hope she's doing ok.

Ugh, im at the house Because the plumber is supposed to come with the new water heater today. Except they just called and said the warranty company ordered the wrong one and they can't install today.
So I dragged myself and DS over here wasting the day sitting around waiting for them, and now I'm going to have to do it again when they have the right unit. Ugh, so pissed.
I want to head back to my dad's, but they're supposed to be calling me back and I'm concerned they're going to tell me they located a unit and I would have to turn around and drive back.

DD has been handful this morning. Her nose is beginning to run so hopefully she's not getting sick. It made for a long morning of whining and tantrums over nothing. She went down for a nap easy though so hopefully she wakes up in a better mood.
It's a big day if just cleaning and organizing here. I've done several loads of laundry, officially moved all of DDs remaining stuff out of the nursery and into her new room, and cleaned as I moved through various rooms of the house. Taking a break now while DD naps to put my feet up.

danvers can she be teething? DD's nose runs when she's teething and she's definitely off in her bahvior/personality. Super cranky. I'm pretty sure we're working on 2 year molars.

DD is always a cranky mess when teething. Runny nose, lots of drool, and chewing on everything. Thankfully she got her 2yr molars before turning 2 so I think we should be done for a while...

CoachTsWife and everyone else: Funny you should ask about Rama, as I have just been given clearance to update everyone (and I just found out but she said I could share with yall). 13 dpo, 2 beautiful pink lines and 1 digital test that says "pregnant". She is going in for second betas today. As always, cautiously optimistic!

cythe, amazing news! Thank you for sharing with us and let her know we are all so excited for her! DH passed a certification exam for work today and I'm super excited! He put a condition on talking names that he didn't want to focus on naming #2 until he was done with the certification. Now that the exam is done we can finally make some headway on narrowing down name choices for #2.

I overstretched at yoga last night. I guess my ligaments are way more loose than I thought. Work is busy, I'm trying to take it easy.
I'm kinda mad that my midwives have not called me. I can see my blood work results online and they came in a week ago saying I'm anemic.

Definitely a show for which you need to pace yourself, though -- I was actually fine with waiting a week between episodes when it was first released because it would give me time to decompress.
