I saw yesterday that they had cancelled an event, but hadn't seen it escalate to calling home the ambassador.
From what I've read, things were moving exceptionally slow on the sub development and it seemed kind of obvious that if Australia was serious about wanting technology that it would begin to look elsewhere. I am sure there is a good reason this was done in secret and France is crying foul to cover up some aspect of how they failed in this (and maybe even for an unrelated reason). Just blowing off allies is something DT would have done and seems below the current administration, but maybe I'm off base here. This is my hot take. Please feel free to tell me I wrong.

Gavin wasted no time getting back to business. He signed two very important pieces of legislation that remove exclusionary single family housing zoning. It’s a huge step to mending our housing crisis. The NIMBYs are big mad and it’s going to be my Friday night entertainment
