I knew something was off when Jan started being so weird while discussing the murder. So perhaps Tim is her ex who always put himself first? Seems like a crazy age gap but maybe? As they said, women are more likely to be poisoners…

This show feels like it could happily be a rewatch. The twist at the end of the episode is intriguing but I was so into the whole stunt double storyline. I need to solve the mystery then go back and find all the fun subtle jokes.

Haha I did too! And re: your other question, I'm not sure why she would steer them away from the Dimas family but my first thought was maybe because she figured if they kept digging in the right(ish) direction, they would uncover the truth (that she is involved)? Because even right before she left for the concert, she was babbling about how maybe it was Bunny. 

So if we follow this train of thinking, Tim took out Jan's trash that day, right? Assuming she was his ex or current lover at that moment. Maybe she has the ring? Maybe Tim wanted it back or something and she killed him? Seems weird though because that's an excessive reaction to not keeping jewelry. 

And also does that mean she was the one that also shot him? To throw the police off from testing toxicology? 


It still doesn't explain who is leaving the notes though.

If she was the murderer, why was she stabbed? by who?

Also, the same poison was used to kill the one guy's cat. If it is Jan, why would she do that? Because she loved Tim and wanted to get revenge on the neighbor on Tim's behalf? Or do they have their own beef for some reason?

I was thinking maybe Theo is the one leaving the notes and he was the one that stabbed her. But I can't remember if that lines up with before he would have been arrested or not.

Oh yeah, that could be possible. Like if it snuck into Tim's apartment or something. 

At this point we know Jan has serious issues with not feeling prioritized or "first" in her life. Bassoon instead of flute, and she's now second chair bassoon, her dad being a dick to her, etc. IF she was with Tim, maybe he left her for someone younger or cheated on her? And the feelings of inadequacy she's had her whole life made her snap and kill him, and steal the ring?

I'm almost wondering if it's a bit of a Scream situation, where she's working with whomever shot Tim and they planned together for him/her to stab Jan in a way they knew wouldn't kill her, but would throw suspicion away from her and the accomplice.

And I still somehow think the Dimas' fit into the end story somehow, like it'll circle back a bit to include them.

Do we know what floor Jan lives on? Tim took out someone's trash from the 6th floor. They automatically assumed Dimases, but it definitely could have been Jan.

I think Jan poisoned him but then Theo shot him in an effort to get the ring back.

I can see if the person who poisoned him shot him, they did it to make it look like a suicide to avoid potential tox screens or whatever. But it would seem weird to me for a second murderer to come in, see him laying on the floor, dead, and shooting him anyway unless they just had a really high level of hatred and needed to feel like they accomplished what they set out to do. Otherwise, why implicate yourself potentially? 

I didn't think of the sleeping thing, but wouldn't it be an odd assumption that he fell asleep in the middle of his floor? Unless the 2nd killer moved him to that position from where ever he may have been when poisoned....

I don’t think she saw him in the audience, only because it is almost impossible to see into the audience with stage lights on you. I thought they were just trying to make her look creepy.

I am going to be a bit sad if she had something to do with it. Her character is annoying, but obviously Steve Martin’s character has waited a long time to find love.

I hooted when I saw that his stunt double is Jane Lynch. That is hilarious casting.

I just looked it up and Amy Ryan is only 53. Obviously pretty old for Tim Kono, but she looks older on the show. I wonder if aged her deliberately to make her character match Steve Martin little bit more. Or maybe she’s like the rest of us and 2020-21 has taken its toll.

He has motive, but he's had years to kill Tim. Why now?
