We had fun at the lake yesterday. Evie is still feeling fine, fingers crossed that continues. Nothing planned today.

Men are clueless. trtlcrzy Hope your nephew’s case is mild, too. I agree that at this point, I’m just waiting for it to get to us. jewels It feels inevitable with the ways things are at school. tgrimes could the spasms around the face cause his parotitis? 🤔

Morning.
We slept in this morning. I’m just watching hurricane coverage. I really hope it won’t be worse than Katrina, but everything says it’s a stronger storm, so it’s not looking good. My family is west of the storm so they will get a lot of wind and rain, but not the brunt of the storm.
Not much in the agenda for me today. I’ll probably make a grocery run at some point.

We're just hanging at home today and doing some little projects. I got sunburnt yesterday so I'm feeling a little over heated after just a few minutes outside.

Cruella was pretty good but I don't think really young ones would get into it. The girls liked it.
They are being horseback riding assistants now and have lessons at noon.
My workout is done so I'm going to shower and enjoy the quiet.

I’m shopping at target alone. I have to start my new class this week, the teams one. I talked with my sister T and she will restart L on Spanish lessons in a few weeks after he gets settled into a school routine again.

Morning. It was foggy and rainy but not that cold. We had made reservations for the zoo and figured the weather would help make it less crowded… Well we figured wrong. It was busy, my goodness. We kept our distance and stayed outside (sorry kids no fish or crocs) and still had a lovely time. The kids are so happy there, we go every other month or so, so it feels a little like it’s ‘our’ zoo.
Nachos for dinner, so fingers crossed baby girl goes down relatively easy 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻.

We almost called baby girl Ida, but decided against it because in my heart dd1 is my little Ida (it’s a character from one of my favourite children’s books).
Hope all of you and your families all stay safe!!!

Lazy day here. My buy nothing group put out a request for girls clothes for a 6-8 year refugee, so I pulled together some stuff for her. Mh is at the baseball game with j. And now trying to get ready for the first day tomorrow.
Someone on the neighborhood listserv emailed about field hockey for 4-7 year olds and I'm so pumped, I hope N will give it a try. Its my favorite sport to play.

Lazy day here. We went to my parents for lunch. My Gram came and it’s pretty clear she’s not goi to be alive much longer. It was really sad to see but I’m glad she came. I haven’t been close to her in years (she has a host of being the worst) but I feel like I need to put my resentments aside and visit while I still can.
After that we got C a Covid test. He hasn’t so much as sniffled today but it was scheduled. Since he has no symptoms it’s a PCR. I got one as well because they asked and why not. But now I’m like can I send him to camp tomorrow? Since he doesn’t have symptoms I would say yes but then I would feel like an ass if he was positive because he did have one symptom yesterday, sniffling, that caused me to schedule. Im ok to send him, right? We will have results in 24-48 hours.

Ugh wedding I’m not sure. I’m over here freaking out bc S had a sudden headache like an hour ago. He complained for like 40 minutes (while we were dropping MH at the airport) and now he feels fine. Of course now I’m in an anxiety spiral that he has covid. He doesn’t right? Just a fluke ? No fever or anything but he was really complaining about it. And he rarely has headaches.

wedding With the only symptom being sniffling, I think you will be ok. If it was more than that, it would be different. jewels an unexplained headache would probably cause me to test. Just watch him close and if anything pops up, schedule it. I picked up 3 boxes of home tests weeks ago to have on hand just in case. With M2’s reactive airway and the fall allergy season right around the corner, I figure they will come in handy. It’s not easy to get a test here. Health dept isn’t doing the all day testing anymore and everywhere else has appointments that may be days out, so I have those for in the interim.

Thanks lahdeedah the only thing I’m thinking is that MH was going back to the airport to go away again. He was so excited he came home ( he surprised the kids) but S has been sad around him leaving. Was it that? Or did MH bring him covid. Fortunately I believe our pediatrician is still giving covid tests so if I decide to, it won’t be too hard to get one. If the headache comes back or anything pops up, I’ll do it Meanwhile, he’s fine, and I’m a total mess.

My twin step brothers are both in the air force. We found out yesterday morning that one of them volunteered to go to Afghanistan to guard the US airplanes. I was nervous about the situation before, but now even more so.
We have had a super lazy Sunday, I managed to take a 2 hour nap and have Mississippi pot roast in the crock pot. It smells amazing.

3 years ago DD got her ears pierced. After like 2-3 months, she decided she didn’t like them and she took them out. She just came out of her room to show we she was able to shove earrings back in because she wants them for middle school now.

Hope nothing else comes up so your anxiety can calm.
