Also where I live you don't push a button, you mash it. And you don't take your sister to the dentist, you carry her. Neither of these are things I say, but they're pretty common.
I do say y'all on occasion though. It makes no sense not to have a word to express this concept.

Lurker here, but this is interesting. I've lived in western Canada, California, and currently New York, so I always wonder which region I talk like. My accent is all kinds of weird. -- Do you mean chili dogs? Underwear unless I need to be super specific I say panties and cringe lol Roundabout except the only one near us is pretty rural and is locally known as "The traffic circle" Tea kettle Dresser or maybe that one is a chest of drawers. Shorts. Trunks if someone if is confused Gutter Bucket. Was definitely a pail in Canada Couch or sofa is kinda leftover from my childhood Glass? Cup? Soda - anecdote: a while back someone was discussing this and DH said not soda or pop "I always just said Mountain Dew" the MD(and now the comment is definitely a family thing) Shoes -maybe running shoes but in school in Canada they were "runners" Paper bag
