If you watched and loved Schitts Creek, I highly recommend Ted Lasso. We put it off for a long time because I didn't want to pay for another streaming service but it is worth it I promise you. We are halfway through season 2 and I have loved it since early in season 1. Heartwarming, hilarious, and tons of great British accents. I'll probably repeat the series a few times, like I do with schitts now (which i just finished the 8th round of....).

Just a bit of a rant. A little back story - here's a union here that represents the support staff at the schools and hospitals. So people like EAs, janitors, phlebotomists, therapists. The union has been without a contract for a number of years and the government has stubbornly stuck to their offer and refused to bargain and has now walked away from the bargaining table entirely causing the union members to strike. They're also now trying to tell untruths to get the public to turn against the union (it's not working). Anyways, I just found out that one of the things that is going to be postponed until the strike is resolved is speech therapy through the hospital, which is what F has been doing. He's been doing awesome, and making great progress, and I'm so annoyed that because the government is refusing to bargain, even though there was money at the end of last fiscal year specifically for it, that he's going to be without the help for who knows how long.

@speedy can he do speech therapy through medical insurance? There are very few speech therapists here who aren't associated with the hospitals. We're hopeful that the government will come to their senses soon given that a lot of the population is behind the union, but if it doesn't it's probably something I'll look into, see if there's anyone who isn't booked out the wazoo!

We also loved Ted Lasso. We just started to rewatch. tj, if it makes you feel any better, I find Apple TV+ to be confusing. Also, I don’t know if I would have paid for it bc woof to one more streaming service, but we got a year free from getting new phones. It actually has a lot of shows/movies I like.

For those who have Apple TV, I highly recommend The Morning Show and Run The World. Those are my two favorites. I tried to watch the first episode of The Problem with Jon Stewart, but couldn't get through it. I want to give it another try because I feel that is the type of show that I usually like.
ETA: Oops, Run The World is on Starz, which I watch through Apple TV. Yeah, woof to too many streaming services.

Remember when we all cut cable to pay only $11 a month for Netflix? And now we pay for infinity streaming services? Maybe it’s just me.

Does anyone have any secrets for keeping your vehicle clean and organized? Is this a losing battle? Does it ever get better? Help me please.

Goodness, yes, Ted Lasso is fantastic.
Another series we really liked on Apple TV was For All Mankind.

I finished The One and Only Ivan for a mother daughter book club.
That is one very depressing book.

Kids responsible for their own things. We have a small trash can and basket in the middle row (minivan) with hats, sunblock, trash bags, first air kit. Picnic planket and extra towels in the trunk. Nothing else stays in the car.

Speaking of streaming services, I just remembered that I am somehow, somewhere, paying for access to AMC+ so I can watch Kevin can F*%& Himself, which I stopped watching sometime this summer because MH wasn't into it so I was going to watch it on my own. Where is this charge even going?! I need to watchi it I guess then figure out how to cancel it.

I'm still new to some aspects of 21st century living and I just replaced my air filters this morning. They were the biggest of yikes, and half of the intake vents didn't even have filters in them at all.
As convenient as it is to have a house with ductwork, the dust is just unreal. I *ever so slightly* miss my old farmhouse with no ductwork and much less dust.

But if there was no duct work and no filters, where was the dust? It just stayed outside? Lol. I have no idea. You might just have some old dust from years of the filters not being replaced often enough. Pay extra for the really good filters for a few years and you'll capture a lot of that dust. Oh, and the air in your community might just be dustier (sand? aren't you near the ocean?). The cannery backs up on a gravel pit and we get lots of dust in the summer. The dust when we got here was unreal, like you'd think that their safety manuals had been stored in the back of a mechanic's shop for the last 30 years. Our new floor cleaner (the fancy put-down-clean-water-suck-up-dirty-water walk behind kind) has made a huge difference in actually removing the dust instead of just tossing it up into the air and letting it resettle. And we have a bunch of Medify Air air purifiers that are magical. And we regularly change our heater's air filters. So slowly it's going away.
