1. Corn tortilla (soft), shredded pork, cotija cheese, avocado, adobo yogurt/crema sauce, pickled red onion, squirt of lime juice, sometimes pico de Gallo, mango.
2. Fish tacos, always. Grilled or fried, I don’t care. Usually they have crema, pickled cabbage, avocado, cotija- similar to my at home toppings. But I just get them however they come at that particular restaurant.

Always soft shell tacos here, never hard shell. The closest I will get is I put crumbled tortilla chips on a taco salad.

At home: ground beef, pinto beans mixed in for the adults, Penzey's taco seasoning or a local restaurant that sells it in grocery stores. Homemade pico de gallo. Corn soft shells for adults (or the little street taco flour ones) heated up in a skillet, kids do nachos or taco bowls. Rico's canned cheese sauce. Spicy salsa.
At a restaurant I'm a sucker for street tacos. That flour tortilla, that diced onion, a huge heap of cilantro, and hot salsa 🤤 I usually do carne asada.

It's dawned on me that I've never gone out "for Mexican". I just happen to order fish tacos at random pubs and seaside shacks.

If I order out tacos they better be fancy as fuck. I'm eating homemade tacos right now. Smashed avocado, Cajun salmon, homemade pineapple salsa. Amazing!

Home: alternate between ground beef with the seasoning packet and shredded chicken finished off with adobo sauce, usually soft shells because my family doesn’t like hardshell ☹️, all the toppings (cheese, lettuce, jalapeños, cheese, radish, tomatoes, cilantro, lime juice, mapleme hot sauce Out: my family does boring ground beef, soft shell, cheese, maybe some hot sauce I will try just about any taco at least once. My go to lately is a street taco with onions, peppers, mushrooms, cojita, and a verde sauce.

At home is usually ground beef (homemade taco seasoning) sometimes steak. Avocado, cheddar, hot sauce, sour cream and fresh jalapeños. Tonight were having chicken fajitas and I made fresh salsa from tomatoes and jalapeños from the garden. Flour tortilla but sometimes corn.
I don't have a standing order out. I like variety.
Oh usually we do refried beans too

Home: Ground beef, taco seasoning, salsa, cheese, sometimes: sour cream and beans. Usually hard but I always keep soft too
Sometimes we will do steak street tacos the same way.
Out: I don’t do tacos a lot out. If I’m out I want something I don’t make

I love tacos so much. Home: either carne asada or pollo asada with onions, cilantro, chili, corn tortilla
Out: tacos de papa, crunchy shredded beef, or Baja fish. Or al pastor.

My very favorite taco ever is a breakfast taco with really creamy refried black beans, avocado, jack cheese and salsa in a flour tortilla.

I am a sucker for fish tacos. I did get wahoo fish tacos and then soft shell crab tacos when we were on vacation last month. So good. I have a hard time passing up a fish taco if it's a menu somewhere!

At home usually either white fish or shrimp with shredded cabbage and lime crema. Or grilled steak, avocado or guac, cilantro, pickled red onions. Always soft shells, sometimes corn sometimes flour

We make shredded beef, pork or chicken tacos with homemade salsa, let tom, shredded cheese and or mex cheese. I prefer soft corn tortillas, dh prefers hard tacos.
Dh also makes good fish tacos which is one of the only ways ill eat fish. Fried or grilled fish, shred cabbage, salsa mayo concoction dh makes.
When we go out for dinner I dont think, oh I can make this at home. Cause I can make most anything in a restaurant cheaper and sometimes even better lol.
but usually will get shredded beef tacos and encholada and maybe beans and rice. I used to always get a taco and bean burrito.
We like taco weds at our local favorite restaurant all you can eat tacos and enchiladas all day.

Does anyone eat a hard shell taco over an empty soft shell so when it falls apart, it’s like a bonus taco?
Also lentil tacos are the business.

At Home:
I make pork barbacoa in my crockpot in bulk and freeze batches for later. How I make it depends on how lazy I feel that day and what's in my fridge. I rotate between feta, cilantro, lime, and shredded lettuce on it to my new thing which is making cole slaw with a blackened sesame dressing, shredded cheese and tomatoes. I use corn tortillas but flour for my kid who wants a quesadilla.
Out:
I'm in braces so my go to tacos have been shrimp tacos on a floue tortilla. I miss crunchy hard tacos!! I can't wait to bite into all the crispy, crunchy foods!

At home we do prawn and pineapple soft tacos or pan grilled chicken taco shells with all the sour cream, salad and guac.
If we go out, there’s this place near us that makes amazing fish tacos (battered and seasoned fried fish, cabbage slaw, tomato and capsicum with a seasoned aioli) on corn soft tortillas and they are excellent with a nice pale beer.
