I left a voice mail with the nurse earlier and she already called me back. So she has the email and form now and said she would start checking her spam folder. And she would make sure the counselor gets the email. She said I should hear from the counselor by the end of the day, so I feel better about things. I'm glad they finally got back to you.

Me too! Pushing out Josie. My left eye was a disaster for a few days. It was the opposite for me. My eyes were intact but one of M's was bloodshot. Whoops. Power vag kegel. LOL at power vag kegel. I can't stop laughing.

H had the endocrinologist appt today. She had us do a hand x-ray and lab work. Those poor techs in the lab. As soon as H saw the chair with the arm thing that comes down he just started screaming, "DON'T POKE ME! DON'T POKE ME!" Then proceeded to scream bloody murder for the next 3 minutes until they were done. Everyone waiting on that floor turned around when we walked out, so I waved.
It's a childrens' hospital folks. Get over it.

Hello ladies. Is it Friday yet? I just booked us a Bahamas vacation for next year fall break. I guess I should do our passport applications before the end of the year. We’re slow now and I’m hoping I get flexed out. I could use some extra hours at home today. I could do with the Bahamas right about now… with or without the boys?! With the boys. MH and I are looking at trips for just us. Sometime next year, too.

tgrimes aw poor h! Hope he got a treat or something out of it . When ds had to get blood drawn, the nurses had a huge file cabinet of little trinket toys for the kids to choose from, I thought that was so neat. He still remembers that .

V is eating a snack and then we will head to Costco for a couple quick things. The guys have been sanding again today. I think this is will be the last day of that and then they’ll start staining hopefully. nam2013 I hope everyone is better quickly and the other 2 are spared. mwhip I’m glad they nurse called you back and things are sorted out. lfig so cute!! tgrimes as someone whose kid has to have regular blood draws, and still screams and looses her shit, I will say our Children's hospital put the lab in an area all by itself. I think the walls in the rooms must be sound proof because you don't hear anything walking by them. Or my kid just freaks out more than others... I'm 44 and still get nervous about blood draws.

mwhip Our hospital has labs on almost every other floor. This location was on the same floor as endocrinology/diabetes, sports medicine, GI, and gynecology.

tgrimes, poor boy! I was shocked the two times C has had his blood drawn. He just watches amazed by the whole thing. She is so cute peachsmama! inthekitty we got a horse when I was in middle school and we lived in the midwest and he was boarded right up the street so we went daily. When we moved to CT we bought a house with a couple of acres and my dad built a barn but when my parents moved to RI they boarded him and it would take about 20mins to drive there and my mom didn't go as much. It was a lot of $ to only see your pet a day or two a week. I also stopped caring about horses in high school. I am team no horse! But more dogs and cats are cool:)

Lola has done really good today. Especially since we got tropical storm remnants and the backyard was flooded a bit. It's going to be a latish night for us because she has training class at 7 and we are all going so by the time we get home and C settled, it will be about 9. I am working from the office tomorrow and actually looking forward to it a bit. I need a potty training break!

My energy is low today. I'm living for the Qdoba salad I plan to get at lunch. The girls put in 5 hours each the past two days assisting with the horseback riding lessons and loved every minute of it. MH has been thinking of getting a horse and I'm saying neigh. Which should be the opposite because I'm always the one who wants more animals. I said we at least need to wait until my student loans are done and he is working because boarding would be $$$. I don't think my neighbors would appreciate having a horse in our small backyard. HAHAHAHA

Car pick up line was ridiculous. It wrapped around the freaking block an hour before school let out. I was barely able to get the girls to the house, changed, and off to dance by 4! I'm going to have to go straight from work on Mondays to get first in line so Cadence isnt late for riding class. Ugh

Check his growth plate, since he's so short. Interesting. S might be going through that too soon. In H's case is it a part of his diagnosis? Yes. DiGeorge kids are usually short statured so if we wanted to do hormone therapy or whatever, we'd need to start early. I apparently hit puberty late, according to the endocrinologist, so he might just be following in my footsteps. They can tell in the growth plate if you are over or under, so she wanted to get it checked out. Apparently 2 standard deviations is normal, and that's what it looks like H's is. She also ordered labs for hormone levels, not only for growth things but also thyroid. Thyroid issues are common in DiGeorge kids, but also my mom & sister have hypothyroidism and my sister has hashimoto disease.

That's interesting tgrimes. My pedi said the same thing about 2 standard deviations, which is apparently where S falls. So they are keeping an eye on things and may refer to endocrinologist in the next year or so. I, however, and 5'1" and also hit puberty late. I was always the shortest in my class, by a lot, growing up. And MH is only 5'7" (although he'll say he's 5'9" lol). So I think my boys just might be short. But the pedi was concerned he had a strong drop off on the charts from 6-7.

The geneticist said the endocrinologist would probably laugh at her for referring him, but she was trying to cover all the bases.

After everything it's taken to get to doctors willing to help, I'm glad they're doing things to cover the bases.
