Also does anyone have any leads on a wood ring I can use for his belt and wings for the cloak catches?

A wants to be a chicken. R has gone away from Carmen San Diego, but doesn't know what she wants to be anymore. 🤷

MH was so shocked Costco already had Halloween decorations and costumes today and said it was too soon. Then his face when I said my mom's Costco had Christmas trees by the end of last August was priceless.
Anyway, I have the Kratt Brothers creature power vests in my on-line cart for L and J's September birthdays and just need to buy them.

Oh yikes, I haven’t even thought about this yet.
DS1 has been saying all year that he wants to be Miles Morales, and we already have a costume. The costume is a year old so I need to make sure it still fits.
My little guy would be happy to go as Daniel Tiger. If anybody comes across any tiger ears (headband style) let me know! I think I can just put him in ears with a red zip-up and a “Daniel” name tag.

Oh, yes! I'm already in the planning stages so I can collect pieces for our costumes over the next couple months. We landed on Wizard of Oz. L wants to be Glinda bc she wears a pretty pink dress. I will be Dorothy and H will be Toto...super excited for that cuteness. G wants to be the tin man. J will be the Scarecrow. And our dog will be the cowardly lion.

I just ordered Wild Kratts costumes for Halloween/birthday gifts. L will be Martin as a spider monkey, and J will be Chris as a cheetah. The creature power vest in L's size sold out so we went with specific animals.
Thankfully, even though J wants his "party" to be Paw Patrol, he wanted a costume to match his sister. Sometimes I wish their birthdays weren't so close together, but it is nice having both close enough to Halloween to do a costume as a gift.

A is sticking with wanting to be a chicken. R has dropped the Carmen San Diego idea (thank goodness I didn't buy anything). She has no idea what she wants to dress up as. tj what is E going to be?

I don't know what my kids are going to be, but I am now officially in charge of our neighborhood halloween event. I'm recruiting some helpers, but so far it is just me. There is a group of ladies who usually does it but they will be out of town this year so I volunteered. I may be crowdsourcing ideas! Sounds like a costume parade, art show (hung on the tennis court fencing) and trick or treating is done every year which I think can all be done with covid precautions.

milano what about a “haunted house” in someone’s garage (garage door open, but like a blackout fabric hanging down)? I would be terrible at making something like that, but I’ve seen some people do really cool ones! It’s meant for little kids so it doesn’t have to actually be scary. Ok I’m just assigning you more work now. 😅 I’ll stop!

L wants to be a pumpkin for the 4th year in a row. I need to check if his costume will still fit.
I convinced N to be a cat, which should be easy enough to pull together.
Costumes here need to work with winter coats, toques, mittens, and possibly snow pants. We had a blizzard on Halloween last year so we didn't go trick-or-treating at all. I'm hoping this year will be a little nicer but it's almost always snowing by the end of October.

There is enough doom and gloom in the world right now without having to bring snow talk into the mix, yikes ladies!
I kid, I kid. But seriously, I'm very much not ready for summer to end and the warmth to go away.

I feel like you know me better than this. Please ask me again on 10/29 so I can panic and run to the store and buy the last 2 costumes available and then I’ll tell you what they are dressed up as.

L was whining about her legs being cold. Very not impressed.

My kids were almost agreed on being Ducky and Bunny, which I think would’ve been hilarious, but they changed their minds and we’re back to the drawing board.

Ordered the kids’ Halloween costumes today. DS2’s Daniel Tiger costume only required me to buy some yellow leggings & a red zip up from Walmart. We already have the ears/tail.
DS1 wanted a pre-made character thing so of course it was more than I wanted to spend.

E is going back and forth between Elsa and a witch. She got really mad at me when I tried to tell her that Elsa is, technically, a witch.
B is still firm on his choice of storm trooper costume so that’s been ordered and stashed away already.
One of my neighbours already has decorations up.

DS1 wanted a pre-made character thing so of course it was more than I wanted to spend. When L was Daniel Tiger a few years ago, Target had red velcro Cat and Jack shoes that look like DT shoes without laces. She outgrew them obviously, and now they're in my pile for J to grow into LOL. ETA: I forgot to write my original point. I remember posting on here if I should take the effort to remove the velcro and add laces to look like DT's shoes. Thankfully, you all told me that amount of detail was unnecessary 😂
