I was getting better but got progressively worse yesterday and today. I'm absolutely wiped out. I think this sinus junk is moving into my ears now.

The girls were thrilled after riding assistance yesterday. They were each paid $10. That's already better than one of my crappy summer jobs as a kid--picking blueberries. You were paid by the pound and after many hours in the hot sun day after day I think I made about $63 the entire summer.

Unfortunately they they were looking forward to going again today to assist and have their own lesson but it might be cancelled due to the heat. We are facing another crappy heat wave of 100 degree weather for several days. We don't have AC.

At work a ton of assignments keep coming up due for me early.

inthekitty I’m sending you every cool vibe in the universe, those temperatures without ac suck. We had those days last year. This year our summer is cold and wet, but I’ll take it any day over that heat, it is the worst!

Weird day today. I almost forgot a hair appointment, I felt scared, but went. I was mostly alone in the salon, both stylists were vaccinated and wore masks (as did I). So my hair looks a lot better.

I’m still working on the letter and every time I change something I feel like I’m just making it worse. It makes me feel so insecure.

We painted our windows sils(is that correct? How would you call the thing that around the actual glass?) on the ground floor. Hopefully we can finish then tomorrow.

My parents' house is on the market and they uploaded the pics to all of the realtor websites last night. I hope it sells this weekend. I already bought my plane ticket for 9/2-9/7 to get rid of stuff and sell the furniture they won't be able to take with them. My half sister and her husband will be there visiting so they'll be extra hands to help out.

Hey. DH and the kids are having some bonding time today. After lunch he took all 3 to skyzone, dropped V off and now they’re going to the new space jam movie. While they were gone I spent the entire time cleaning up the basement. I got a lot accomplished. The contractor called yesterday about coming to frame the fireplace so I needed to clear it out for him.

Co-worker just got word that there were 3 positive cases at her daughter's dc/summer camp. Friday was supposed to be her last day there.
Now co-worker will be out the rest of the week and who knows about next week.
She's currently going around the office telling everyone and her main concern seems to be her highschool son who can't miss band camp....

Really wish I had mh's job and I could work from home forever.....at my kitchen table....

Very important question! We are sharing him. He prefers to not have the kids around since he's old and tired (when he's not running away and getting into trouble), so whoever doesn't have the kids will have River. Win win I think since he will be happy, I don't think the kids will care and we will have company when we don't have the kids.

Hi hi - I'm off this week but we are just hanging out. It is a million degrees and bad storms each evening. We went to a playground yesterday and tomorrow we may try a splash park.

So the cicadas have somehow brought out oak mites and that bite and they leave huge welts. So that is lovely and apparently won't go away until the first frost. The advise is to cover up and shower and wash clothes when you come inside, um wut? That is not happening.

Good news: coworkers daughter says it's a different age group than the one she is in. So the concern is not as high now. There are some shared spaces though, so she's going to keep an eye out for any symptoms. Her dick of an ex is refusing to help her keep the two kids separated though. 🙄

Guys, my state is requiring teachers to be vaccinated or get regular tests. This applies to private schools too. It should be interesting to see what our school does.

Oh and our school board voted to require masks indoors for all. You know, what the states policy is currently. I guess when they read my email stating the mandates some eyes got big. I may have implied I would notify the state if they didn’t follow it.

Good, I hope NJ does the same. I will have a full time teaching assistant and I do not want an unvaccinated adult with me or my little kids all day. I also don’t want my own kids in classes with unvaccinated teachers.

Our dickass governor then responded with “Any school district, public university, or local government official that decides to defy GA-38—which prohibits gov’t entities from mandating masks—will be taken to court.”
