I have been drinking a light roast all week and really enjoying it. I'm usually a dark roast fan.
I just discovered a big work problem so I'll likely spend my week correcting that. Ugh.

Up since 4:30. And today I have an 8pm call…
Meeting with our architect today to show him the current layout.
Meetings, training material, and setting up training sessions. So loads of fun.

I had drip coffee with hazelnut creamer this morning.
MIL and BIL are coming Wednesday, so will need to get the house in order for that. There was a lot of drama with MIL the last time they came, so I’m kind of bracing myself.

MY KIDS WENT to SUMMER DAY CAMP. I was alone in my house for the first time in 16 months (edit: reliably alone, paying someone else to have my kids elsewhere. They've been at the neighbor's before, but there's always the threat of them taking themselves home!)
It was 3 hours for T, but the big kids are gone til 4. I feel like that's forever, and M was pretty anxious, so I'll pick her up on the early side.
I used the three hours to do some of those tasks that are really best done without children present - deep cleaned my bedroom, tidied the catchall hallway spot, reorganized the gift closet, and vacuumed all the upstairs. It was pouring, so I did very little outdoors (sorry, weedy garden!) besides checking on and feeding the chickens.
Three more days of camp for T, four for the big kids. Tomorrow will be: installing new bathroom sconces, repainting the bathroom wainscoting, and touching up the white trim throughout the downstairs. Other projects for the week include beginning my back stairs mural, starting a new pair of pants from scratch (first big sewing project since I had kids!), and hopefully, taking myself out to lunch/brunch one day?!

ovenrack I'm so happy that you are getting some alone time. Soak it up and make sure you give yourself some time to rest too!

CD1. Ugh. Not a great thing to wake up to. The last few months I've had basically no warning that it was coming, and it's not been regular (last month was 30 days, this month was 26). So annoying. Coffee with vanilla coffee creamer and pancakes with fruit because I can. We're going in about an hour to look at the house we might buy. I'm excited and nervous and all the things.

We got up this morning and went straight to the beach for a couple hours. I didn't drink enough coffee and slept like crap because of the dogs so I'm chugging a big iced coffee now to try to find some energy to clean my disaster zone of a house.
I was elected to the HOA board over the weekend so the amount of emails in my life has already increased exponentially. I wasn't planning on running but got nominated and one thing led to another and here I am. Now that I'm in I'm actually really excited to be "doing" something other than being Mom and think it will help ease me back into working life when that time comes.

Still trying to figure out our new routine and keep up with drop-offs and pumping and work. Just when I get this routine down, school will start, but that will actually free up a lot of my time spent driving the kids to summer camp, so I'm looking forward to it. I ran out of my Lavazza and the grocery store I popped into didn't carry it, so I'm working my way through this espresso that's pretty meh. MH is away overnight tonight for work and I'm strongly considering getting the kids fast food for dinner so I don't have to cook.

We're back from our trip and have no food. I let the girls just be lazy all more then we ran through the grocery store. I can't wait to pick up our CSA on Thursday night. We're planning on grilling and eating veggies for 99% of our meals the rest of summer. We have absolutely nothing all week until we go to my parents saturday-sunday for my nephews birthday party.

I just sold our last stroller and gave away the last of our cloth diapers to 2 moms in need. It feels so good but also a little sad. My babies will be 5 next month so it’s definitely time 😂

It’s vacation. There’s been a lot of really hard stuff going on with family health issues, but my husband made margaritas and I’m pretty drink. I bought a new bra and I feel like I have new boobs. I gave myself until next week with no thinking about or planning for school, so I’m living it up.

This is week four of summer camps for us. Well, at least for D&N. I'm stuck at home with S, the almost four year old who needs me to watch everything and see everything and listen to everything. He misses his brothers during the day and I miss him having someone else to play with. I mean, I'm enjoying some one on one time with him, but probably not as much as I should because I'm so burnt out from the constant noise and even though it's less overall noise with the older two gone, it's no less constant. We've also entered that phase of parenting where the older two are involved in different activities in different cities at the same time. MH is dealing with D and baseball, and I'm doing gymnastics with the younger two. Going straight to gymnastics from camp for these few weeks has me realizing that homeschooling is still the best choice for our family. I'd rather keep doing school at home so the other activities aren't overwhelming. The kids still prefer to be at home too. I'd rather plan and execute lessons than pack lunches every day.

I started a new client today. Cute little puppy that I think will be fun to work with.
Alex has Lacrosse practice this evening. She's so cute out there! I kinda hope she locks lacrosse over soccer b/c she seems more engaged with this game/skillset. Though, the age group for camp is 7-14, so unfortunately, she's having to navigate around a lot of older girls, which I think makes it hard for her to pay attention
