Just downed 50g of glucose! Orange flavor. My mom said she drank the orange flavor when she had my siblings and me. You'd think the medical community could develop something better tasting in the last 30+ years.
Now for the waiting game.... and then a sugar crash nap later today!

The lemon lime flavour was slightly better. Good luck to you and @aramaythea on your test!

It's 9am and baby is already ready for our second breakfast. That bassinet thread really has me thinking. I'm adding PNPs/Bassinet to the list of things I can obsess over/shop for when I'm done with my last final (hopefully tonight!). danvers & arimaythea, Good luck on your glucose tests!

Good luck arimaythea and danvers! Today was another busy one - mainly organizing at the new place and trying to find places to put everything. The movers, bless their souls, somehow got into all the baby stuff we had intentionally disassembled and put in their original boxes for storage....and the movers assembled all the stuff! 😲 Like...absolutely all of our baby gear that DS has grown out of or stopped playing with. So, I guess DH doesn't have to worry about putting together the jumperoo or the fisher price musical chair thing when DS2 is older...😂. DH also won't have to put together the old rock n play for when we sell it next month on the local expat exchange (DH is bringing a new auto rock n play back from the states in a few weeks). That one got reassembled too! As did the Mamaroo! I don't know where we're actually going to keep that assembled older baby stuff, but whatever. We probably should have paid more attention to what the movers were doing in the nursery for so long yesterday!

Except I have to go back to work after. I failed with my fist pregnancy so I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that I pass this time! baby is quiet today despite the glucose.

Survived the glucose test without feeling too bad! I went with fruit punch this time (did orange with DS) and I think I like the fruit punch a little more. Tasted like Hawaiian Punch. Now to cross all my fingers and toes that I pass so no 3 hour~ Back to work now too though, like parma986.

DS is out at his usual am walk this am with grandma. I got to my 28 wk goal this weekend! and with that I am going to start on my to do list of making stuff for fella#2. I am excited but not looking forward to scouring the web for fabric and getting samples...although I've had to do that for most of everything since we have such poor selection at our Joann Fabrics and the only fabric place that has decent selection is waaaayy down in the city. I think first up is going to be a Topponcino. I may already have cotton batting and muslin I can use but will need to hubs help to get my tub of stuff from the cabinet later tonight to make sure. Also EPIC FAIL Podunkville town! We received an inspection report for gas/utilities for another homeowner yesterday! Duh! Hello??!!! We first need a permit which has been pushing 3 wks now I think and really need to schedule an inspection or the landscapers aren't going to be able to continue working! So frustrating; due to the wait and scheduling, the plumber just went ahead and already did the work last week. I was out yesterday when the email came through and hubs called + emailed them about it - still no reply of course. I'll be calling in a bit if we don't hear back from them.

arimaythea, I did both Fruit punch this time and you are right, it taste better or goes down easier. I also did ask the tech and she said it was preferred over the others. Lemon lime is the worst she said. Hopefully you don't get a sugar crash. I did ok with the 1 hr but the 3 hr got me a sugar crash in the afternoon.

danvers, arimaythea, parma986 Hope you all pass today! I had the lemon lime and didn't think it was the worst thing, just too much sweet, but it's the only flavor my clinic offers so I can't really compare. Taitai That's hilarious, yet really sweet of them. lol Glad you guys are getting settled into the new place!

It's a rainy day here, and I don't hate it. It feels really nice after the 90*+ day yesterday! DS is happily racing his cars around the coffee table, while I sit on the couch sipping my second cup of coffee. I feel like I'm still recovering from vacation. DS seems to be happy to be home too, I think he missed his toys. lol Thinking about heading to the mall later for a walk, then letting DS play in the kids area for a bit before afternoon nap.

How fast are baby hiccups? It feels like a very rhythmic movement and its about as fast as my heartbeat (but not my HB, I promise).
Also, is it bad that she gets them a lot - assuming that's what it is? Like. Every day?

Today was the day to go over our work for the last two weeks and plan our work for the next two.
I didn't realize that the container with my lunch was only half full, and it wasn't enough. But maybe it'll help with heartburn.

I've been pretty productive the past week and hoping I can keep the momentum! Finished a quilt for DS, almost done painting canvases for the boys room (DS & new baby will share), and I'm getting ready to start felting a mobile for the baby. Organized 2 hallway closets and my craft supplies, made next weeks meal plans. Need to get laundry folded/put away but otherwise getting things done! Hoping to do all my deep cleaning in August and stocking the freezer in September. So many things I want to get done before baby is here.
DH and I cannot agree on a single name and it's stressing me out. I know we have time, but it feels impossible. He's so laid back typically, about everything, except not :/

It is so dang hot outside. I went for a 20 minute walk with a co-worker. Holy hell. Came back inside and I removed my bra and my tank under my shirt. Need more water.

My MFM was like, "you can walk, but only in the early morning or very late evening. And when you're done I need you to chug a ton of water." It's so freaking hot out.

HI all. It's hot and I'm tired/grumpy. I feel further along than I should, if that makes sense. Hope everyone passes their glucose tests. I'm not looking forward to mine on Friday.

I feel you guys on the walking thing. H and I were looking at finances last month and we just couldn't cut our Y membership - even tho it would be a great way to cut spending - because me walking inside with the A.C. is just so good right now!

I was looking at my Amazon registry to add something so I didn't forget and I saw I had a free redemption code for a Munchkin 8oz bottle - promo code Latch17. These were the only bottles DD took for daycare (after 4+ months of trying literally 10+ brands and types while on maternity leave) so I'm feeling pretty happy about that. They can be a pain sometimes to "seal" due to the venting valve on the bottom but free is free!

danvers, thanks! I apparently had this offer too and totally missed it at the top of the page. Never tried the Munchkin bottle but it doesn't hurt to have one on hand in case #2 is picky!

We didn't use those, but I guess it wouldn't hurt just in case DS2 doesn't get along well with the Dr Brown's bottles we have. In the same spot there is also an offer for a free 8x10 canvas.
