July already? Time flies when you have to work every fucking day. 😵💫
Hoping to keep up this month, my class isn’t as much work as I had anticipated.
Leg day today, then I’m solo parenting for the rest of the week so my H can fly out to his grandmothers funeral.
June goals were to keep moving ✅ kayak (only got out once because my normal kayaking buddy is in medical restrictions due to radiation treatment. We hope she will be cleared this month) ✅ and keep weight gain to a minimal ✅
July goals: same as above, but add in more veggies.

Happy July!
I’m aiming to Increase my mileage and continue to work on speed this month. Mostly l want to stay on track with my NRC training plan, subbing some speed/ strength workouts with OTF and some recovery runs with the bike (if it’s too hot to run outside.)
OTF on deck for late afternoon today.

Hi. I’m someone who sporadically shows up to this thread for a few days or weeks at a time and then disappears. I have really good intentions, but then don’t stick with it But I’m back. I have a few goals and new routines that I hope will help my motivation. Goals: - Reduce my sugar intake - Drink more water - Exercise more - Lose ~10 lbs (no timeline) I’m currently in an 8 week walking challenge at work, which we do each summer, that always motivates me to exercise more. But I’d like to keep that going when the challenge ends in August. I started tracking food, which has been really eye opening re my sugar intake. It’s only been 10 days, but I’ve already been able to make changes to my breakfasts (which is where a lot of the sugar was). I feel good about that and am really enjoying my new breakfast choices. I’m going to try really hard to check in here more to keep myself accountable and on track.

Did I even set things for June? Other than don't die and do ok at the meet? Check and check.
I would love to regularly add in cardio somewhere right now, but I'm not sure where that will land between my training and DS's baseball. That will be done this month, so maybe that's an August goal. Do some at some point can be the July goal. I have my meeting with my nutritionist tonight, so we will see how that goes. I opted to go for month to month in case it's not a good fit. It should be, but you never know.

PandaWatch I am you. Very sporadic participation. My July goals are: drinking more water each day, 3-4 workouts a week, no wine during the week. And getting to bed earlier.

PandaWatch, same as far as participation. Only goal is to shed a few pounds. I have pics from this weekend of me in a bikini and I’m not unhappy with how I look but I want to look a little more muscular which is definitely under some of the fluff I packed on over the last two years.

July snuck up on me!
June was actually a pretty good month for me. I don't think I set any goals other than survive which done and done. Summer is not my favorite. I actually pretty much loathe it. It's hot, there's hurricanes, and the lack of routine is just not good for any of us. July is a generally a decent month though. By this time summer is half way over (well school year wise...not temperature wise. Sob.) and it's my birthday month. So, bring it on I guess.
Oh! I did have one June goal which was to give up dairy entirely and see how I feel. Um. I feel amazing without it. I'm not as tired, not as bloated, and my skin is clearer. I have still had a bit of cheese sprinkled on things here and there but that's it. No ice cream, no queso (RIP my favorite food), no pizza. I have suspected a dairy intolerance for quite some time now and I guess I have one. Kind of stinks but not having a crampy stomach has been nice so that is motivating to keep at it.
July goals are the same as June goals. Exercise when I can, make sure I'm drinking a ton of water.

I can’t really remember what my June goals were other than I still haven’t taken that damn heart rate monitor out of the box. But June had a lot going on and a lot of changes here so I feel like I did alright given everything. I didn’t do as much as in May but I still PRed several times so the extra rest days didn’t seem to derail anything.
For July, I am going to do the Beginner Strength program. I’ve never done any formal program for strength but I checked out the lineup on pelobuddy and it seems like I can make the time commitment. I’ve already been doing strength twice a week but I want some structure and I can’t commit to the time required for HCOTF.
July will be another tricky month. DS is in preschool but I still have DD home with a part time nanny so any time I’m not working I’m taking care of one or both kids. It’s going to be evening workouts until DD starts preschool next month.

Oh hi.
I set June goals. They were vague, like "move everyday" or something? I don't know, I've been a hot fucking mess. I missed the last few days of June anyways, minus yesterday when I squeezed in a 5k run.
July, my only goal is keep up with marathon training and maybe drop a couple of pounds.

So, to start off July right, I got out for a long run. Did 9 miles by doing my 3 mile neighborhood loop three times. Carried chews with me and kept water at the bottom of my driveway. Popped chews every 2.5 ish miles and swigged water every time I passed. I negative split each loop respectively, but overall my average pace for a long run was slower than normal. Too much bad food and bad sleep and lack of keeping up with training is catching up to me. But it's done and I feel decent.
60 minute endurance run with Becs 30 minute progression run with Selena 20 minute yoga for after bedtime tonight
That Becs run was her retelling of her Olympic time trial race. I love when Becs tells stories of her runs. So good.
Ok, I'm done. Woof.

Whatever my June goals were they didn’t happen. June was just a mess of job transition and stress. So good riddance to June and hello to July!
My goals:
-30 day Peloton streak -add in yoga for stretching and mindfulness -cut way down on the sugar intake -up the veggies
Started off July strong with a killer intervals and arms ride 💪🏻
30min intervals and arms w/ Cody (he did a US v. Uk music selection that was fun) 10min cool down w/ Ben 5min stretch w/ Ben

I cut out dairy this past spring because of stomach issues and have been able to bring back small amounts of hard cheese and Greek yogurt with no ill effects. It’s amazing how much better I feel when I avoid everything else!

June was hard because my kids had a lot going on and it interferes with my workouts. Goals were just to do my race and I’m happy with how things went. I know I need to improve my run and I want to shave at least 5 minutes off my bike time next year.
July goals are to run more and focus on speed since I have a sprint tri in August. I also need to tighten up my eating and lose a few pounds. I signed up for a half marathon in September so I need to get ready for that too.

I’m planning on sneaking in a 2 mile dog walk this morning before it starts raining here. I’m going to add some Yoga with Adrienne in this afternoon and maybe a barre workout. DD has been joining me when I do yoga stretches and I think she’d really enjoy the barre stuff too.
B - cinnamon raisin bagel, coffee with almond milk L - Caesar salad S - peach, pineapple, carrots and hummus D - chicken sausage with onions and bell peppers on brioche rolls

abs that sneaky dairy issue got me too. It started with yogurt and then protein drinks and then dun dun dun, ice cream. I’ve given up most of that or changed to non-dairy and my bloat issues are gone. The bloat was so bad and I denied it for long enough. The last straw was I had two pre-made protein drinks and I was bloated for weeks. Anytime I then had a tiny bit of dairy it set it off. I can have little bits here and there (cheese is fine for now) and be OK but I had to wait for that craziness to pass through. I’m coincidentally listening to a podcast episode that addresses this.

June was a huge improvement over May for me. I sorted out a bunch of mental health stuff, which left me in a much better place to pursue my exercise goals and be mindful about my nutrition. My main goal in July is to keep it up with exercise (maybe add a bit more variety through indoor YouTube workouts on hot days) and to do even better about adding in fruits and veggies to my meals.

I'm too lazy to go back to the June thread to see what my goals were. I think I did ok overall.
This month. Continue a mile a day streak. Run 75 miles (I really wanna do 100 but feel I will fail) Lose weight /inches. Continue to add in strength and yoga Eat more veggies, more fruits, and less processed foods.

My July goals are just to keep on. Keep drinking atleast 64 oz of water a day but the more the better. Keep being mindful on the weekends but not overly restrictive to the point where I'm not enjoying myself. Keep on with the workout schedule I have set up for myself The one new thing is I'm going to try the yoga workouts on the Peloton app. I've tried yoga before and never liked it so I'm starting with the beginner classes to see if actually learning the moves from scratch will help. I continue to want to lose weight but I'm not going to put any kind of quantity on it because I have learned that my body will do whatever it wants to.

Happy July! I haven't set concrete goals in the past month so I think I'll do that this month and see where I net out on August 1st.
July Goals: - Lose 10lbs - Sleep 7+ hours nightly - Close all 3 rings on my Apple Watch every day this month - Drink 8 glasses of water daily

Oh well hello shiny new thread.
My June goals were I think just to remain consistent and I did so.
For July, I'm hoping with the added days with my trainer in the coming weeks, I will see even more shaping results in my muscles. I'm getting closer to my goal size clothes that are staring at me in the closet but they are still a bit too tight to wear comfortably at work. I'm hoping by sometime in August I can get there. We'll see. I'm trying really hard to be kind to my body as it currently exists while also trying to improve it by getting stronger. I remind myself that I've only really been working out hard and consistently post-partum since the last week of November 2020 so it has only been just over 7 months and I've made a lot of progress in that time. I'm looking forward to seeing what a full year of results looks like.
