The salon and venting to my mom, old boss, and stylist, plus crying and yelling, made me feel a little better. We are at least speaking again. And he knows I'm pissed, he's made a couple of comments, which I haven't responded to.

And I'm officially the fireworks Karen. A house across the street from our neighborhood is shooting them off tonight. I wasn't prepared and my dog is flipping out. Usually I give her some cbd treats, on the days they're legal, and she's OK. But fireworks aren't legal until the 2nd. So I've called the after hours line twice now.

First time they dispatched a city officer, who called me back saying the property was county, not city, so he couldn't do anything. But he drove by twice, so I thought that would make them stop. I called back to have a county officer come by and he was like,no, that's city and said he would contact our city officers again and tell them to come back.

We love fireworks, I dont care on days they're legal. But you're about a week too early asshole!

My day started with a negative COVID test to add to my collection 🤦🏼‍♀️. I was 99% sure it was allergies, but I had a slight cough & plans for coffee at my parents and drinks at my aunt, so I figured I’d better get tested and be sure.

Dh is insanely busy grading papers and finals, so I took the kids to my parents for a few hours, it was nice to sit in their yard for a bit. Of to my aunt for apps and drinks in their yard .

Morning! The party went well yesterday. It rained until about 2 and dried out a bit before the party at 3. The kids all had fun playing on the bouncy house, swing set and bikes. Food was good, except I forgot to bring out my Costco tub of potato salad so I have a shit ton to eat because google tells me it doesn’t freeze well. I’m going to try to pawn it off on people too. It started raining again at 5:30 so we just stayed in the garage until we were done. I went to bed early because I was pooped and I have to work today. It’s been pretty quiet at work so far, and I wouldn’t mind if it stayed that way. Instead of doing any work in looking into where we should go this week since we still haven’t decided.

Can’t do that since it’s usually a block over. It’s illegal to shoot fireworks in my city but neighboring cities you can on the 4th. But I don’t think there hasn’t been a month since covid started that we don’t hear fireworks. Graduations, birthdays, World Series, holidays, someone is hooting them off.

Taking a pic of the house seems kind of dangerous too. When the cops show up, its going to be pretty obvious, unless you could do it from inside your house.

I dont know if the cops ever came back by. Of course after I called the 2nd time, they didn't do anymore, so they were at least done early.

Nothing exciting today. I need to go get groceries. The 2 times I was going to stop yesterday, it was pouring and trying to get a cart full of groceries in my jeep in the pouring rain sounds awful. I also need to clean.

We'll swim this afternoon and just hang around here.

My day yesterday was fantastic. I was told to stay in bed until 10 then my best friend came down to surprise me. Spent the day on the beach, went to dinner, then out for rum buckets and dancing. A lot of friends showed up at the bar and we had so much fun.

We all slept in late. Today I’ll just be getting our stuff ready for tomorrow. The boys have school and camp, and I have my employee onboarding at the hospital. I think I made sure all my documents were in a box here so hopefully they are accessible and I don’t have to go digging in storage.

Other than that, we may go to a new to us park today.
