clm585 I always weight more at the doctor then at home, about 2lbs! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I tend to weigh myself in the morning after I use the bathroom and before I eat. If your appointment is later in the day you will likely weigh more from food and water intake, plus the weight of your clothes and any discrepancy in scale readings... My doctor's scale is usually 1-2 pounds more than at home.

Guys, I did something productive!!!!
I was hungry so went downstairs for a snack (my home office is an extra bedroom upstairs). While I ate my croissant I vacuumed the entire first floor!!! I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for getting that done. I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember the last time I vacuumed...

Does anyone take their pnvs at night? This time around mine are making me really nauseous and I'm hoping night makes it better?? Any input or advice? I take mine at night before bed. I take Best Nest brand (they have methylated folate instead of folic acid 🙌🏻) and they have never upset my stomach.

I think I need to switch over to the gummys... cause nothing is really staying down. I used to be able to take pills like a champ. But oh no, not anymore. The last two days have been ROUGH with the MS and I feel bad for DH. Today is our anniversary and I know by the time I am through with work all I am going to want to do is lay down and nap. (not that I don't already, lol) Tomorrow am is our u/s so looking forward to seeing the bean.

Anyway I worked out & currently laying on the couch while DD watches a show. We are having lunch in about 20 minutes and then naptime for all of us!

Morning! Just had a doctors appointment and I'm down another pound 😶 I'm down 7 in total now at just under 14 weeks. Hopefully things will start picking up so I don't have to add that to my list of worries. Also, my uterus was measuring ahead at 16. Has this happened to anyone before? I know better than to google lol

I know for second (or more) pregnancies our bodies expand faster because muscle tone is not as strong. Another reason for measuring big is multiples... How many weeks are you now? I wouldn't worry about the weight loss, it is VERY common in first tri, especially if you had a lot of MS/nausea/food aversions. It will all come back and then some in the coming weeks.

I am all about the gummy vitamins... I hope I don't end up needing to take iron (lucked out last pregnancy and my blood count stayed high without it) because that is impossible to keep down! Oh and the constipation. I did make it for a run this morning before work, so feeling a bit better about my weigh in!! Thanks for the advice - I would love to blame the doctor's scale and my breakfast for it 😉! I found a bob duallie on my local exchange that was too good a deal to pass up, so hopefully it'll look as good in real life as it does in the pics ($200 for a nearly $700 stroller!). Happy anniversary ashburn! I hope you feel well enough to celebrate sometime soon! dragonflyinn +1 to waking up exhausted. I also shoot up at 5:00am and cannot go back to sleep. The doctors use your weight gain and uterine measurement as a surrogate for measuring baby growth, but they really don't correlate super well. I actually struggled to gain weight with my first (normal BMI pre-pregnancy), gained a total of 15 lbs and had an 8+ lb kid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I broke out my doppler last night. I was rolling my eyes at myself as I did it because I'm only 9+4. But then I found the heartbeat! It was roughly 80-90 beats in 30 seconds, which lines up with the 161 from my first ultrasound. It was really hard to keep track of since he or she is swimming around all over the place in there. Now I'm going to be content and STOP messing around with it until after my appointment on Friday.

Hi everyone! I'm FINALLY feel like I found something to take the edge off the nausea! I've been popping tons of Preggie Pop drops and I don't know if its the placebo effect or they actually work, but either way they help me actually function like a real person so it's a win! I'm back at the office today after working from home for 2 weeks while in nausea hell.
Also, I still haven't gotten to watch GoT because I keep falling asleep when DD does. I'm going to try and stay awake tonight!

So glad you found it snowyowl, how reassuring! I'll be using mine for the first time today and I'm 9+2, any tips? I couldn't find this baby with mine until 10+6. I was unable to find it at 10+2. So try really hard not to become anxious if you can't find it this early. Best advice is be in a quiet room and lay down. Have like 30 minutes to spend looking. Go really slow and move little bit by little bit resting on each new spot for a while. You will have to press fairly hard to get the Doppler closer to your uterus (past fat and muscle). Once baby is bigger you won't have to press as hard. I find this baby's heartbeat really low - just above my pubic hairline.

I wouldn't worry about it much yet, it could just be the way you were laying.

So glad you found it snowyowl, how reassuring! I'll be using mine for the first time today and I'm 9+2, any tips? Ditto helloerrbody that the 9th week is super early to be trying. I never found it that early my last pregnancy. So don't let it make you anxious if you don't have any luck. Tips: Press hard, it will be deep! I angle my doppler downwards and right by my pubic bone because the heartbeat tends to hang out basically down and under your pubic bone this early. I use aloe for gel. Move in tiny incriments, then listen for a few seconds. You will pick up lots of noises. The most helpful thing for me was watching YouTube videos of people doing it, because it made it much easier to hear the difference between, say, a large vein swooshing back and forth that sounds quite fast, verse the baby. It also helped me gauge where to look. I also give myself a time limit. No luck after 10 or 15 minutes and it's best to take a break and try again tomorrow. Even if you have found it before and can't find it again, don't worry too much. Baby can scoot around a lot at this point.

pinkcat I found mine this time for the first time at 9+3 but it took me a loooooong time. Probably 20 minutes or so. And I just played around and went super slow, tried lots of angles and pushed down quite hard. GL, I hope you find it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
