We are winding down from our whirlwind June/July. We did a trip to Utah that was pretty good (outside of the triple-digit temps in Moab), a week on the Central Coast that was lovely, and I just got back from the cheer camp I worked, which was exhausting but such a good thing for me in terms of getting away and talking to different people about things other than mom/wife life. On tap is potty-training DS next week. I let him look at some options for training pants on Amazon today and let him pick his favorite designs, and then also promised him a Daniel Tiger trolley and figurines when he finally toilet trains. He saw it during our search for reward stickers and asked if he could have it after he learns to potty in the toilet, so I said yes. Whatever won't get us kicked out of preschool, kid. I need this. Otherwise we are enjoying the rest of summer at home. We have been making popsicles and the kids love their water table and watching DH barbecue and hanging out in the hammock. I'm hoping to get to an A's game in August. I'm in to my third tri and becoming more uncomfortable each day, especially because nothing - literally nothing - from my previous pregnancies fits anymore. Looks like I'll be springing for a couple pairs of jeans and yoga pants for the next three months. And I have to go do my GD test this weekend sooooooo...that should be fun. Oh! Almost forgot. I did that cheer coach interview and it was great, even though I was interviewed by the head coach, AD, asst AD, and vice-principal all at once. It was a little overwhelming, but they all seemed to really like me and I liked them, although I got kind of a weird vibe from the coach. I got offered the job and really thought I was going to accept it, but something I couldn't pinpoint kept nagging me not to take it - the same thing that nagged me not to take the last coaching job I had and quit after two months. So even though the interview was good and it looked great on paper, I turned it down. But, I realized something this past week - I've been offered four coaching jobs in the past year and that's pretty good. In fact, I've been accepted after every interview and offered two without an interview at all. So...maybe I shouldn't worry as much about not getting a job in the future. It's nice to get confirmation that my passion and experience are coming through in desirable ways. Can't wait to hear from all of you!

We're all living down south now and loving it! The boys are so happy, I'm happy, and H is enjoying it so much more than he thought he would. He found a job so we're back to having two full time incomes after like 2 weeks of him not working. Overall life is pretty good. My new job is great! I really enjoy it and can see myself doing this long term. I do miss floor nursing though, Im debating picking up a casual spot and working the occasional weekend or night shift just to keep up with my skills.
Hunter turned 2 beginning of July. I can't believe my tiny baby is already so grown up. He's about 36in tall and right around 30lbs, he talks non stop, nearly potty trained, and he's overall a tiny tornado. I just love that little guy, even when he's being a little terror he's just so sweet and makes me so happy.
Mac is getting ready to start school in September. We picked out a backpack and lunch bag, he's pretty excited about them. He says he doesn't want to go to school, but I know he'll love it once he starts. He's so smart and social, I think it'll be great for him. I'm just so not ready for my first baby to be in school, he's still so little it's just not possible he's ready for school.

Our summer has felt kind of overwhelming. Our new puppy requires way more supervision than either of my kids ever have, and it's tough for them to play because she constantly takes their toys and chews them. So basically I have to watch all of them like a hawk, making sure small toys or books aren't on the ground, making sure the kids' bedroom doors are closed so she can't get their stuff, and trying to train her to listen to us.
We've been swimming, going to the park/playground, and spending time with family. Tomorrow our local county fair starts, which my IL's are pretty involved with, so I'm sure we'll be there a lot. And the week after that we are going on vacation at our church camp. As with every other year, I am pretty nervous about it. It's basically nonstop action for us trying to keep up with the kids and keep them entertained. And having us all sleep in the same room is tricky because I'm always worried about the kids waking each other up, and trying to coordinate bedtimes so they're not keeping the other one from falling asleep. Plus the last two years DD has randomly gotten a stomach virus there and last year DS had a seizure, so we don't have a great track record. Basically I'm just hoping to make it through the week without feeling insane, and avoiding illness!

Things are winding down here - summer break goes from the end of July until mid September so today is the last week of activities before we get a break. We decided to wait a year to send DD1 (6) to school, and that was definitely the right decision. Dd2 is doing fabulously- she reminds me a lot of me when I was little, and I think she and I are going to clash a lot as she grows older. And dd3 (19 months) is so freaking adorable. I love watching the 3 of them interact. I'm still working a lot and enjoying it, and in the grand scheme of things there's not much new going on Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk

This summer has been a mix of the most amazing time, but stressful too. I am absolutely loving having my new baby. I think because he is my last I feel like every minute I am soaking it up, and he is so incredibly cute and sweet. He is 2 months now, time is just flying by. My oldest is 13!!! I have a teenager, it's weird to be old enough to say that, though I did have her when I was pretty young. I feel like I have a lot of stages going on here, newborn, preschooler, kid, tween and teen!
We have been working on our house we are renovating. It has been a lot of work, and we are moving in two weeks hopefully the weekend before school starts. My husband has been either working at the house or working at his job. It has been crazy busy at work for him too, so I feel like I never see him. I am sure it will feel all worth it when we move in.

We are having a fun, laid back summer. I signed DS up for late morning classes three days a week, so we get to hang out in pjs and chill for awhile each morning before starting the day. Lots of sunshine, time at the splash pad and playground, and trips to the cafe and bookstore have been filling our weeks.
DD is a joy. She is a very easy baby in comparison to DS and I've had a much easier time of it. She loves to laugh while watching big kids play, which has worked out nicely for us all.
DH is starting a new job in the beginning of September. He'll have 10 days between jobs, so we are going to take a mini-vacation to Shenandoah NP. I'm very excited. 😁

We've had a busy summer. Been doing some visiting, activities, splahpads, went to the aquarium and are going to African lion safari next weekend!
Feb13 kiddo is starting kindergarten in September! She's all very excited for 'big kid school'. We still need to do our shopping but I'm waiting to see if the school sends a list.
She will also be going to visit my parents up north for the long weekend so we can focus on jan15 kiddo and do the three day potty training. Fingers crossed it goes well.
Getting a lot of stuff done around the house. Doing the 40 day 40 bad declutter again. Walked on the roof and took the shutters down. Refurbished an old hutch with chalk paint which looks great. Finally hung some curtains a year after moving in!

We're back in the US for a few weeks. We had quite an adventure getting here since our flight from London to the US was cancelled (after being delayed for 7 hours) and we had to overnight in a hotel, including picking up all our bags and getting the DDs plus the bags to the hotel and back. Instead of getting to the US on Friday at 10 am, we got here on Saturday at 8pm. It was rough.
Otherwise DD1 will start an in-between program when we get back - in between kindergarten and 1st grade. I've heard great things about the program, but also that the typical clientele can be a bit difficult. We'll see how things go. If she doesn't make any best friends in the class then that's fine. She'll be in activities to stay in touch with the kids she'll go to 1st grade with.
Otherwise I just love watching the DDs interact with each other (well, DDs 1+2 fight way more than I'd like...). I'm glad we're done having kids but will definitely miss it when DD3 is out of this super cute stage (she's almost 20 months).
