I’m kinda excited you all want to hear my gymnastics story, I figured all my sports bore people. She has been at the same gym since she turned 2. It’s 6 minutes from my house. They have a second location that is bigger and better equipped. She has reached the maximum level that they have at the current gym and has to go to the bigger gym. While it’s not “far” she would need to be there during rush hour and it would probably take me 30-40 minutes to get her there. Her team here is also small (4 girls) and they have been together and with her same coach for 3 years. The other team is big (like 20 girls) and they have also been together for a long time. None of them want to go to the new gym. 1 girl has already quit entirely, the other 2 are the girls she plays travel soccer with. They are all taking the summer off (both have beach houses within 5 miles of ours) and then doing 1 gymnastics and 1 tumbling class in the fall. She had a sport 7 days a week this year which was okay because school was only half day and started at 9. Next year in middle school, she will be at the bus stop at 7. It’s going to be a lot, plus I have my new job and 3 of my 4 kids going to new schools. The classes she is doing will be enough to keep her foot in the door if she wanted to compete the following year but she is definitely out for this year. Our high school has a gymnastics team too, her friends are from another town that does not so I’d like her to have a chance to do high school if she wants (my former teammate is the coach).

Also, a bear has been wandering my neighborhood all day. I do not live where bears live, I need to move. We had bears by us as well last fall i think. It was a bad year for nut trees so they were desperate for food. Neither of our chestnut trees produced any nuts last season. |

Today was Josie's last day! She is beyond excited for the summer. We're hanging here this afternoon-- no plans. Pizza for dinner tonight! We're doing pizza, too! It's a Friday staple. We have been letting the kids "decorate" their pizza and their choices keep getting more and more brazen. Like the gods of pizza are flipping over in their graves watching my two pour yellow mustard, vinegar, pickles and anchovies onto their pie. And then surprisingly. It's pretty decent. |

My itch to get out of the house got the best of me and we went to the pool. It actually wasn’t so bad. The oldest 4 I can trust pretty well and they stayed together. The younger two mostly stayed in the zero depth pool or H put his life jacket on to go on the diving board or zip line. And I had L who finally liked being in the water.
Now we’re home and I have wine. And pizza.

They always get that on their pizza but they've been using the kitchen door condiments as their own personal pallete. I think the salty vinegar stuff always works with red sauce, but the yellow mustard can be a lot if it's heavy handed. It's such an overpowering flavor. |

Last year there was one that everyone was tracking on Facebook and one day it was across the street from our good friends house. Another day someone posted a pic of the bear in their pool. Crazy. I would freak. |

I would try to give the bear lovies and smile happily as I was mauled to death.
We get bears near here but I've never seen any in my town.

Hello from the hotel. Had a nice looooooooooong drive to get here. The pizza/arcade place we normally go to was closed and Cadence was not happy. We ended up at Chuck E Cheese. Ugh. I had salad.
I'm so tired. Cadence got a second wind and is playing with her Spirit toys.

slenle glad the day went okay. I did many weekend with 7 kids with mine and my sisters. Now the oldest will be turning 14 and 15 this summer and we just leave them all together and we get to go out together again.

Y’all... Guess who just got an email with a job offer.   I was scrolling the innanets making my list of things to do and places to eat for our beach trip when I clicked on my email and BAM. Top of the screen was an offer of employment. |

It’s per diem, but I may get at least 2 days a week with potential to do more when people are off. It’s kind of neat because the system does employee sharing, so after a few months I can put my name in a pool to be called on by any of the hospitals in the system if they need help. So whenever I want extra money I have opportunity without having to apply for other jobs. |
