UO: I don't love Mo Willems books If you give a mouse a cookie, I’ll stab you in the eye. (Yes I know that isn’t mo willems. But it’s the books I can’t stand.

UO: I don't love Mo Willems books Me reading them, I’ll pass. C reading them, it’s helped him so much with his reading. They are repetitive, so he sees the words over and over. And we only read the piggie and elephant ones. Plus they are silly, so he enjoys the reading.

Plus they are silly, so he enjoys the reading. +1 Someone on here mentioned them as early readers so I mentioned that to M (my sister buys us a lot of the P&E books) and M has been all over that. I far prefer them over most early reader books.

The fucking Giving Tree is my all time least favourite book. So much this. I could not understand the Giving Tree love at all. I figured that there must be some associative love for the book or something. And then I learned that apparently some people think that it's a good lesson to give of yourself so much that you have nothing left? The book feels very white people entitled to me.

And then I learned that apparently some people think that it's a good lesson to give of yourself so much that you have nothing left? The book feels very white people entitled to me. S likes it. He sees it as a representation of Parental Love; always providing for your children and the love/happiness you feel when they come to you. I see both sides of the "love it or hate it" perspectives. I chose not to feel strongly either way.
