Share your most recent Parenting Wins, both big and small! We're all doing something right, even if we feel like we're struggling most of the time.

We must have really pooped out Nugget yesterday with all the action and having grandparents over- at bedtime I nursed her and instead of reading books after like usual, she picked up her blankies and baby doll and walked over to the crib and asked to go night night. No fuss at all once she was in the crib! She did the same thing one night last week, too. Here's hoping we're turning a corner with the bedtime struggle (usually she wants to read a thousand books and fights when it's time to go in her crib).

The Sageling has been asking to wear undies all week.
She won't go in the potty, but it's a small victory.

1. C pooped on the potty on Sunday.
2. It was completely solid (he's been having tummy issues all week).

I had my first ever night away from the girls (minus the 2 nights in the hospital after having the twins) and everyone survived. Even MIL, after E tried her hardest to ensure I never go away again by waking almost every hour overnight. MIL didn't complain once and still said she was happy to spend the night with the girls.

B is getting so good at verbalizing his feelings. He tells me when he's sad or angry or grumpy. Sometimes he tells me he's happy haha.

M did an flip on her trapeze! She's pretty cautious and was so proud of herself.
Then she landed on her nose on the next one and probably will never try again.

My friend's mom complimented my kids and said she could tell they get lots of love and affection at home because they don't act out and seek attention elsewhere. That was a pretty good confidence boost for my heart that day.

I took both kids to the Dr's office, post office, and store today and no one melted down, including myself. I'm calling it a win.

I took both kids to a pond to see Mooncharm (remember her?) and her kids. It was fun.
H actually went into the water all the way to his neck - a bunch - and went underwater voluntarily! I'm not doing formal lessons until he's older so this makes me happy.

Earlier I was thinking about this thread when I was peeing in peace. But I only made it halfway when both kids came in and started climbing on me.

I've worked to make reading a big part of our lives, and it's paying off big time. L can t even read yet and she is already a voracious reader. She will sit for long periods of time paging through book after book, sometimes reading out loud from memory, sometimes making up stories and often just silent. We also read out loud a ton and there is never a time when she doesn't ask for just one more book. My husband and I are readers and it makes my heart so happy to see her falling in love with books too. She falls asleep every night reading to herself. Now A is starting to pick up on the habit too, and I couldn't be happier.

M took O on the city bus today. She's been asking to go for awhile. They basically took it down the street to Wegmans. She was super excited but realized that it was boring at the same time. Waiting for the bus.

kona I'm so jealous that you live near a Wegman's. That's one of my favorite places in the world.
