Weeks Pregnant: 27 + 1
Baby is the Size of a: Camping lantern, or bunch of bananas
Appointments: Next week, I have my 28 week appt
Team? Green/blue/pink? Green
Rants/Raves? A couple raves, actually! One is that I got some praise for being so on top of the work project I am working on (the one that will go live while I am on leave). Our department is ahead of schedule, and while I feel like I haven't had a ton of time to work on it, knowing we are on top of it is really nice. Plus my boss was on the call when we got the praise. Also, my two best friends want to throw a little sprinkle for me in June, which is really sweet of them. I almost feel bad, because we don't need much, and it's the third kid. But also, I won't say no to a get together with them, and my friend makes the best food, haha.
How are you feeling? Overall, SO much better. My back and crotch definitely hurt more as I walk, and I feel big and tired, but I will take it over nausea or reflux. I am so glad to have a break from that.
GTKY: What are you looking forward to doing/eating/drinking most after pregnancy? I have really been craving rose. And margaritas. I have still been eating sushi and drinking plenty of coffee, so it's really just the alcohol, lol. I will likely have a mimosa or glass of wine very very sporadically in third tri, though.

Weeks Pregnant: 25w1d
Baby is the Size of a: Napa cabbage
Appointments: next visit is on 5/25 but I have to do my 1 hour glucose test sometime before that
Team? Green/blue/pink? Blue 💙
Rants/Raves? We’re slowly cleaning out the office to prep for new carpeting and then we can actually work on this baby’s room.
How are you feeling? Pretty good! I’m still struggling with low blood pressure though which is giving me a lot of dizziness. My doctor is ordering blood work just to be safe.

I looking forward to enjoying coffee again. I haven’t been able to even smell it without feeling sick. A nice cold cider on a warm day after delivery would be nice too!

Weeks Pregnant? 27+1 today
Baby is the size of a: head of cauliflower
Appointments: 1 hour glucose and OB Monday, high risk growth ultrasound on Thursday
Team? Green/pink/blue? IP’s are team blue
Rants/raves: we are buying a house!! It took us awhile bc of this market but I’m sooooooo excited. Tentative closing date is 5/25.
How are you feeling? Fatigue in the afternoon/evening is my biggest complaint right now. Otherwise ok, just big and tired.
GTKY: I don’t drink much because alcohol doesn’t agree with me but champagne sounds so good to me for some reason. And raw sushi, since I’ve been sticking to cooked rolls. And a giant club sandwich from McAlester’s .

Weeks Pregnant: 23w
Baby is the Size of a: grapefruit
Appointments: I had my follow up ultrasound last week and they were able to get the rest of the heart pictures that they needed. Next appointment is May 17 for OB and June 7 for glucose test
Team? Green/blue/pink? Pink
Rants/Raves? More a question. Is anyone getting their tubes tied or know someone that has? My husband is getting a vasectomy but I am also considering getting my tubes tied (really removed completely) since I’m getting a c section anyway. I’ve heard some people have no adverse side effects of doing this but some people have heavier periods after. I’m torn because I don’t want heavier periods but my OB also said that getting them removed lowers your risk of ovarian cancer.
How are you feeling? Big. I feel much further along than I am. My youngest just had her 18 month appointment last week and is now 33lbs which is not helping things because she likes me to pick her up a lot
GTKY: What are you looking forward to doing/eating/drinking most after pregnancy? (I realize we are all second or more time moms and probably aren't abstaining from *much*, and absolutely no judgment there). Honestly I’m ready to diet. I still had 20 lbs to lose after my last baby (gained 50lbs with her) so I’m ready to get back on weight watchers . I also would love to have a cider or a hard seltzer especially this summer.

sarahh my sister had her tubes removed with her last C section, and she highly recommends it! I don’t anticipate needing a C, but I am thinking about discussing it with my OB just in case I do.

Weeks Pregnant: 24
Baby is the Size of a: pomegranate
Appointments: Wednesday this week
Team? Green/blue/pink? Blue
Rants/Raves? I feel like I’m falling behind on getting everything ready before the baby comes. I’m hoping to finish painting my DDs new room this week and then I can finish getting it set up for her to move down there. We also seem to have a million outside projects (not really but it feels like it) and I’m just feeling overwhelmed.
How are you feeling? Pretty good physically.

I’m really looking forward to getting a bottle of a local whiskey distillery’s winter limited release this winter. It’s one of my favorites. Other than that just being able to have a drink when I feel like it.

My entire family got hit with norovirus or something similar over the weekend/Monday. Lemme say - being violently ill for hours is not fun at 27 weeks. Luckily it was about 12 hours and it passed.
I was supposed to do my glucose screen Monday (lol no) so I went today and it was still tough to get down. 🤞🏻 for me for good results, though I’m not super hopeful since I failed the 1 hour with my daughter.

Omg bugs are absolutely eating me ALIVE. Is it the hormones in my blood? We don’t even really get bad mosquitos here. And oddly enough, ever since I took Accutane as a teen, usually bugs stay away from me (this could be a correlation I made up). But gosh.
Also, I got a huge new pregnancy pillow I’m looking forward to trying out tonight. Exciting stuff.

Omg friendofdobby I’m so sorry!! That sounds awful. Is everyone feeling better? We are all well. Yesterday is the first day I felt like I could eat normally. But woof. It was rough. Enjoy that new pregnancy pillow thatgolfb! I’ve been thinking about a body pillow.. my U shaped pillow from DD doesn’t feel comfortable this time around.
