I’m off today, but have to play catch-up. There is not enough hours, but I will do what I can.
My MIL made it in yesterday and she will be here for a few days until FIL comes back from helping out his sisters. We are going to Lowe’s to order a washer/dryer to be delivered to TN. I’m using their military discount to get a whopping ten percent off. I can feel the money exiting my account and big spending always makes me a little uneasy. I keep telling myself we will get it back after the closing, but it doesn’t help.

I need to catch up on yesterday’s thread. We were in The Park all day. I wish L could have gone but he had been naughty at school and the agreement was he could go if he was good at school. It was rough. E got her first mouse ears though.  |

Morning. I am dragging but I am busy, these two things do not go together well. shit.
My errand list is piling up so I am going to start doing a couple little things a day so it doesnt end up me taking a vacation day to run errands cause that is a waste of time. Today at lunch I've got to run to Costco to get B a lifejacket, FX they still have them.
I'm caught up on most of the series shows so before I start another I am watching some movies on Netflix, today is Breakaway, about a group of Indian-Canadian college kids that want to play hockey. So far I LOVE it.

tgrimes, oh wow. That's coming right up! chrisy01 What a cute picture! I'm so glad E got to have fun. Her little outfit is cute. It makes me so happy to see her there. It feels like things are starting to get somewhat back to normal.

Nothing big here. I've been trying to chip away at chores since I work this weekend and won't have time to do anything. Today it's the rat cage and some weeding. Good times. It's gorgeous out today and that's nice. Sounds like a good show vino. I'll have to check it out. |

I started the day off supper annoyed at H. I told him last night I needed to see what was required to get a refund on the registration on my old jeep we traded in. I got it together this morning, asked him what his plans were for the day, which was nothing, and told him he needed to get in line early. He was huffy about it so I told him I'd take care of it since the DMV is not far from my office.
Like dude, you aren't working!
But really, I got inline and it said my wait would be an hour and 5 minutes. I immediately got a text that I needed to go to a window. So I left work and had it taken care of my 8.

Same old over here. I ran some errands this morning and I’m making a big batch of spaghetti and meatballs now. I have my second vaccine this afternoon so I thought I would make something that could easily translate to leftovers tomorrow in case I want comfort food and am feeling gross.

I’m not going to say everyone there wore masks because people are idiots but I felt like there were a ton of safeguards so I felt safe. Added note: she is potty training and she went 6 times there where she asked. So I feel like we are moving along with the training. |

In case you really want in on 3rd grade dramz. Maddie informed me that 3 girls in class are crushing on the same guy, but he's mean so she doesn't get it. Meanwhile, she is crushing on B who is really nice. She would only tell me, but yesterday they were passing notes in class and B asked Maddie to be his "gf." Serious stuff. She circled "y" so it's official. I asked her what that means and she replied she didn't know. I said, "Will you guys hang out on the playground?" She enthusiastically nodded yes.

Hey. S is feeling much better today. I don’t think she’s had a fever at all but I kept her home from school today anyway. We ran a couple errands this morning and I’ve been trying to get a bunch of gardening tasks done while V is napping or occupied. It is much harder to get things done than it used to. I am scheduled to go to barre class after supper this evening. I am super congested and my throat is sore from drainage so it should be fun. Dang allergies.

DD’s principal sent a letter to all 4th and 5th grade parents about kids using google hangouts during class and communicating with kids in other schools in the district. It’s my kid, I know it, her gymnastic friend goes to another school in district. I think it was discovered during her I want to die comment last week because the counselor who called was very odd about telling me where she posted the comment and they waited for the weekend to pass to send the letter. Reason 1000 why I am glad I will be gone from middle school before she gets there next year.
I’m also in a weird place with my transfer as far as my administration goes. I don’t know if they know about it or not. My principal is someone I taught with in my old school since I started and my VP’s are my best friend’s prom date and a guy I babysat when he was a kid so I have relationships with all of them outside of work. I want to say something to them but because of covid I see no one but my 7 students all day for the most part. Do I seek them out, send an email, call?

kim22 I vote to send an email since you don’t see them often. I think that should suffice. You don’t have to give a reason, but since you do have personal relationships with them, maybe just include that you are pursuing this because you think it’s in the best interest of your family. I think that’s general enough to leave on good terms amd not sacrifice the relationship outside of work.

MH’s birthday is tomorrow and I have nothing for him. It’s been so busy and I’ve asked him what he wants because I can’t think straight these days and he’s hard to buy for and he has given me no ideas. I’m starting to feel bad about it.
Maybe I’ll surprise him with a door dash dinner tomorrow so he doesn’t have to cook.
